Hotel Cumbres Lastarria (Santiago, Chile) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In the heart of Santiago’s vibrant Lastarria neighborhood, Hotel Cumbres Lastarria sits on the site of a former emporium, now transformed with striking architecture and a strong visual identity shaped by Chilean artists. The rooms are spacious and well detailed, with custom wooden headboards inlaid with original artwork. A rooftop terrace offers backdrops of Parque Forestal, the city, and the Andes beyond, while the surrounding blocks are packed with museums, cafés, and restaurants. A stay here puts you at the center of Santiago’s creative energy, with easy access to the best of Santiago beyond the guidebooks." - Tablet Hotels

Loved this hotel. Very impressed indeed. Only had 1 night, sadly! Fantastic breakfast. Safe area. Wonderful staff! Highly recommend this charming hotel.

I stayed here recently for 3 nights. The hotel was nicely decorated & very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Interesting thing about the bathroom walls was that it’s made of partially frosted glass which’s unusual but unique. There’re lots of restaurants/bars nearby with a few street vendors that sells some artwork near the corner of the hotel. All the major museums are within walking distance less than 30 minutes away from the hotel. The only minor issue I experienced was on the day of departure. I asked the front desk to store my luggages due to late departure. However when I returned to retrieve my luggages one of them was missing. Luckily the front desk agent managed to find it from the a separate basement storage room. Overall I had a great stay & would be happy to stay here again for the future.

We stayed here for 4 nights during a recent trip to Chile. The first three nights were in a regular room. The bed didn't even look like a queen. The trim was small and there was no view out the window. If this had been the only room we had stayed in, I would have only given 4 stars. But for our last night, our tour company arranged for a superior room with a king sized bed and a smaller single bed next to it. The room was bigger and we could look out the window and see the courtyard. This made a big difference. ||Service was fast, courteous and professional at all times. They allowed us to store a bad during the three nights between our two visits.||The neighborhood is great with a lot of action, but it didn't interrupt our sleep at all. You can walk to much of Santiago or take the subway which is close by. ||Breakfast was included and was quite good. If I was to return to Santiago, I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is extremely well situated, it is spotless, the staff are absolutely lovely. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and we appreciated the advice of the helpful staff to visit local restaurants and attractions. There’s a water filter in each room, very helpful indeed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower was excellent with body wash, conditioner and moisturiser provided. There’s a coffee maker and a big TV. There is AC. The hotel is quiet and yet is in a great spot. We would 100% recommend this hotel.|Axel in particular was extremely helpful with advising us on local places to visit.

Great location, really appreciated the doorman and attentiveness upon arrival. You drive down a street with a lot of pedestrians and driving in Santiago may have you a bit rattled, so it was nice to have someone there to guide you. The bed was very comfortable, the room was fine, no problems. Really appreciate the water filter/dispenser. Walkable to more restaraunts and bars than you could try in several days. But I'd list Bocanariz and Santiago Wine Cub as musts.

The hotel has a modern, chic atmosphere in a very central location from which to explore Santiago. There are numerous restaurants on the doorstep and a beautiful park just a few steps away. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable but the small semi-open plan bathroom is a bit of a faff. They have a beautiful restaurant where they serve a fantastic breakfast but I don’t think they serve any other meals there. The staff are incredibly friendly and really try to be helpful. ||Amenities are somewhat lacking or could be better managed. They have the space for a great rooftop bar but they don’t serve drinks upstairs. The beautiful bar area in the lobby closes at 9pm - seriously!!! I would definitely not recommend any of the spa treatments as they don’t have a spa - all treatments are done in one of the hotel rooms. It was so unprofessional I still can’t believe I didn’t just walk out.

Overall had a good stay. There were a few things that weren’t quite right. 1. The bathroom walls are glass! And not frosted glass, partially-frosted designed glass that is still clear enough that there really isn’t any privacy. You can see the beds from the toilet and the toilet from the bed. We were always asking each other to turn away. Just be prepared for this, all the functionality was there but just have a plan in place if you’re used to privacy in the bathroom. The lobby toilet was dirty about 1/2 the time I tried to use it. 2. We were there when it was about 90° F out. The room AC could not cool the room. It was not able to get the room below 82° which was uncomfortable for sleeping. 3. The room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The carpet was rundown and stained. There was stuff along the wall that hadn’t been vacuumed. The good things: The hotel felt very safe, there was always a doorman there, and the front desk was always staffed. Everyone there was really nice and helpful. They had free luggage storage for the day of checkout. They had a water filter station to refilled water bottles. The breakfast was good. Several options. The location was great to walk to the museums and historic sites of Santiago. And Lastarria in the evening was bustling, it was fun to wander around the neighborhood. We didn’t use the pool, it looked a little run down and dirty.

The hotel is perfectly situated in a street with an abundance of restaurants and a nice walk away from all the tourist sights. I was greeted by the amazingly friendly Jorge who was also of great help to me answering questions and investigating things for me. |My room was lovely and as well as coffee making facilities, had a cold filtered water dispenser. Dani who made up my room was incredibly friendly and helpful with advice, as was her boss who lent me a padlock for the locker at a pool I went to. |You really feel like you are living at the heart of a vibrant area here and in an already incredibly friendly country, the staff here standout for how welcome they make you feel.

Yelp
Highlights/Lowlights 1. EXCELLENT location 2. Staff that goes above and beyond 3. Wine bar closed We recently spent 5 nights at Hotel Cumbres and Lastarria. We LOVED the location and mentioned multiple times on our trip how happy we were with this spot. After walking around the city for several days, we truly feel like Lastarria is the best place to be. This area is close enough to walk to Plaza De Armas and other historical sites and there are many many restaurants and bars right on the same street as this hotel. We ate and drank in this neighborhood all 5 nights and never repeated a dinner spot, PLUS there were more options available that we didn't have time for. The staff here is outstanding! Our flight arrived at 8am on Saturday so we paid a fee for early check in (only an option if a room is ready) and unfortunately our room wasn't ready yet but the hotel staff told us to enjoy breakfast while we waited for a room. About 20 minutes into our breakfast, the staff dropped off our keys and also arranged to have our bags brought to our room. We ordered room service (wine and champagne) a few times during our stay and it always arrived quickly. The hotel staff was also able to arrange us transportation to the airport for our early flight (for a fee). The only drawbacks to our stay is the at there is a very cute wine bar on the first floor of the hotel that was closed the entire time we were there (seems like is has been closed since COVID). Also, no drinks are allowed at the rooftop pool which was a bit of a bummer. We would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Cumbres Lastarria!

Yelp
Superb hotel. We recommend it. Nice pool on the rooftop. Nice staff. They also have a lounge where you can have coffee, tea, and cookies all day.

Yelp
Located in the walkable and central Lastarria neighborhood, Hotel Cumbres was beautifully modern, super comfortable and offered an impressive complimentary breakfast served with a stunning 8th floor view of the city. While room 406 was petite, the room was fully functional and offered everything one would need: queen bed, blackout curtains, dependable wifi, rain showerhead with great water pressure, and 2 chocolates that arrive to your room in the evening. For breakfast, the spread and view is decadent and the grey and white marble offers a touch of contemporary elegance. The floor to ceiling windows showcase a gorgeous city and the heat lamps throughout make you feel like you're outdoors (except you're not). Lastarria is an awesome neighborhood for walking around and the hotel is on the edge of the pedestrian-only area (where you'll find local merchants selling their antique books and wares on the street). Lastarria is also near the vibrant Bellavista neighborhood (where you'll find tons of bars, clubs, music venues and restaurants).

Yelp
One of the best hotel experiences I've had in many years of hotel stays. The hotel has a modern vibe, nice restaurant, pool area and exercise room. Perfectly located in the center of local activities including top restaurants on the same street. But what stands out most exceptionally is the friendly and accommodating staff who genuinely care about their guest's comfort and utility of hotel and city experience in a country that has warm and friendly people. Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! Phenominal service. Rooms where clean and very chic. Entire staff was incredibly helpful. Will definitly return. Choclate with weather report is just an example of the thoughtfulness of the entire operation. Pro tip: do not use "do not disturb" in the afternoon. You'll miss the free chocolate.

Yelp
This was our favorite hotel while staying in Chile. For the price, it is an absolute steal. The area around it is nice and has a lot of nightlife. The breakfast included was good and the outdoor pool area was very nice. The gym could have been better. room were great but made for couples due to the glass bathroom.

Yelp
Excellent hotel - very clean, classy, and excellent service. We had two rooms that made a suite to accommodate our family. Also a great breakfast and nice tea in the business lounge in the afternoons. Highly recommend!
