Our stay was fabulous! The staff was super friendly and helpful, the restaurant was delicious and our room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Huge shout out to the best Concierge ever....Pedro! He will see to your every need with a warm smile. Do NOT miss his (complimentary)walking tour through the city. Pedro is very knowledgeable , welcoming & kind. HIs attitude made our tour fun. We learned so much about this wonderful city. The hat & little surprise at the end was a very nice touch. The street directly in front of the hotel is mostly for pedestrians so your ride-share or taxi cannot drive directly to the front door, however, it's a quick walk to the hotel. You can even call the hotel & they'll send someone to help you with your luggage. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Hotel da Baxia was fabulous. Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful. The staff really are amazing and go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The free guided tour was very well done and Carolina did a wonderful job providing interesting facts and points of interest. The rooms were very comfortable and meticulously clean (if there could be any improvement, additional lighting in the rooms would be nice). Breakfast options were plentiful, fresh and delicious. And the location - it literally could not be better. In the heart of the city and walkable to EVERYTHING. And if you aren’t much of a walker, the metro is a couple blocks away for access to anywhere you want to go. Lisbon is a beautiful city and this hotel was the perfect base for exploring it. I’ll book here again on my next visit.

We actually stayed at this hotel’s sister property, the Blue Liberdade Hotel, which was absolutely wonderful!!! ||We were offered a free walking tour, and a very helpful staff member walked us to their sister hotel where we met up with a few of their guests for the tour. Carolina was our tour guide, and she was wonderful-both kind and informative. She even took us to the famous Manteigaria Bakery and bought us Pastais de Nata to eat right there-delicious! We continued the tour and ended up back in the lobby/bar area of the hotel, where we were treated to complimentary souvenirs and glasses of wine! ||These hotels clearly went above and beyond in delivering delightful experiences we will never forget!

Luxurious and immaculate room with a large double vanity and thoughtful floor plan. |Hotel is a minute walk from Praca da Figueria, and is located in the heart of Baixa. Hotel staff is attentive and always ready to help. I traveled with my young daughter and felt extremely secure knowing that the staff were aware of her presence. Pedro, the manager of the hotel, arranged a walking tour of the city, which is a must! We had an early departure and Pedro, along with the head chef arranged for a takeaway box for us, which was extremely kind. We would love to be back!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise!! I wasn’t sure what to expect when staying at a “boutique” hotel I normally stay at mainstream lodging, places such as Hyatt at Hilton. I am so glad that I chose this hotel from the time I walked in the staff was unbelievably friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very, very helpful. The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown Lisbon. Making shopping restaurants and sightseeing walkable. The hotel has its own restaurant that’s open till 11 PM and the food is absolutely phenomenal. They also have a bar and their espresso martini is better than restaurant ROCCO’.S!!! There’s also live music most nights in the lobby. Everything in your room is complementary to include bottled water “the fancy kind too“ soft drinks and juice. The hotel also offers a free two hour walking tour. My tour was done by Eleanor. And I cannot say enough about how passionate and kind. This young lady is. She is truly stepped into her calling. I would 100% hands-down stay at this hotel again and I would recommend it to couples, family, and solo travelers.

Had an excellent stay at Da Baixa in Lisbon! I can’t remember staying at another hotel that is this service oriented and eager to please anywhere in Europe! They really go out of their way to make you comfortable and take excellent care of you. ALL the staff are incredibly helpful and kind!!! Even though it is a little expensive as compared to other properties of same. category I would pick this hotel hands down! Loved it!

Google
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel da Baixa. The rooms and bathrooms were modern and spotless, making for a very comfortable experience. The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly, always willing to help. Breakfast was tasty, though the latte and cappuccino could be better. The location is truly perfect, right in the heart of the city. There’s no on-site parking, but valet service is available and they took great care of our luggage. Parking is only about 100 meters away, so it was very convenient. Overall, excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Spent two weeks in Spain and Portugal and i must say this hotel was tied for 1st place! Loved this hotel so much! It’s in the most perfect location. All of the details from checking in to the room to the on site bar and restaurant were perfect! The air conditioning worked amazingly in the rooms! The staff was friendly and efficient! Cannot wait to come back! Wish i took more photos of the property.

Yelp
This is by far probably the best hotel l have been in my travels lately. I have travelled with my family for years and I have been to many hotels. It turns out this one in Portugal is the best. The service is impeccable, the manager Pedro Falcao and his staff are amazing and always watching out for their customers making sure they have a great stay. The breakfast is amazing and their omelette bar is one of the best I have seen. If you ever travel to Lisbon you have to stay here!!

Yelp
This is one of the most amazing hotels that I have ever stayed at. The rooms were so nice and comfortable, and all of the safe went above and beyond. Daily breakfast was delicious. The location is optimal and perfectly located to central Lisbon and the train stop. I will definitely be staying here every time that I am visiting the city without hesitation.

Yelp
I truly loved this hotel. We arrived at around 9:30 a.m. so no chance of getting our room. But Nabin greeted us so kindly and assured us that our bags would be safe. They offered us a free breakfast and said they would let housekeeping know we were waiting. We set off to enjoy the city for awhile, and although our room still wasn't ready at 2 p.m. (check-in is 4) Andrea offered us beverages while we waited. Almost immediately, they informed us that they had moved our luggage up to the room for us, which I thought was a really nice touch. We also had a welcome bottle of champagne chilling. The room was small, but very charming and comfortable. I've never stayed any place where I noticed how wonderful the linens smelled liked I did here. The drinks in the minibar were free for you to enjoy, and there was always a large bottle of water that we definitely drained each day. The breakfast had a fairly good variety to choose from. My husband and I especially enjoyed the smoky bacon, which almost tasted like Canadian bacon. They also had some flat cornbread rounds that were like muffin tops- delicious. The hotel is close to the Rossio train and metro station and an easy walk to many of the sights in town. More than anything, the impeccable service would bring me back to this lovely hotel.

Yelp
Both my husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. It was very clean, updated and the service was great! The bathroom was a very nice size eith a walk in shower with double shower heads. Our bed was super comfy and I loved how we could open our window and look out. It was in a great area where you could walk around and see and enjoy Lisbon. Here is a couple of things to enjoy. Along the way there are many stores you can go to.

Yelp
Hotel da Baixa is easy to spot with its gorgeous green tile facade. The location is prime for walking around Lisbon, but it's still very quiet. I stayed here one night and had a room facing the street and there wasn't an issue. The hotel is clean and modern, and the room was big. The people working the front desk were helpful and friendly, and they even mailed off some postcards for me as I was leaving. Minus one star because the breakfast was not very spectacular. No one brought or offered me coffee, and the options for vegans were basically just plain bread and fruit. I would have expected a bit more (soy yogurt, vegan butter, maybe some veggie slices or vegan cheese?) for this price tag.

Yelp
Hotel is very clean. The bed is very soft and comfy. The bathroom is very nice. The only thing is that the usb plug doesnt work. They gave welcoming champagne that was very good. Staff was helpful. They recommended a very good Tour company. The hotel is centrally located easy to walk around. It is very close to the shopping area and restaurant. The only thing is that first they said when we checked in that they will give my group complimentary breakfast. Then the next morning the staff where the breakfast was located was looking for our names and it wasnt on the list. But she still accomodated us. Even though we had that incident everything in the hotel was great. I would book again to this hotel if ever I go back to lisbon.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful and situated in the heart of downtown close area attractions, restaurants and shopping. Our room was well appointed. We were greeted with pasteis de natas. The restaurant on site served delicious breakfast and also had lunch and dinner of so desired. Many outsiders visited the restaurant and the bar. The hotel offers a free walking tour led by the guest services manager Pedro. It was a very educational experience. Only downside is the street is closed to traffic except the tram which stopped across the street. So for Uber or Bolt you will need to walk a block then schedule your ride. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provides free bottled water, fruits, coffee and fruit juices in the lobby 24 hours/day. Even the minibar items were included with the room. We stayed 5 nights and were upgraded to beautiful king room. If I'm ever in Lisbon again I will be staying there!!

Yelp
Wonderful service and staff! The location was perfect and within walking distance of many great spots.

Yelp
Overall I really liked the hotel: Pros: Location is amazing Staff is really helpful Room are small but quiet and clean Their pastel de nata was great, tiny and better than the bakeries Cons: The only thing that bothered me that the services and restaurants they recommended were really expensive and not of high quality. One restaurant they sent me to got bad reviews online but they assured me it was great and it was awful and expensive. One restaurant nearby (Taverna Alfacinha) they tried to talk me out of was so good, I went there twice.

Yelp
Super comfy beds, excellent location. Breakfast is good. My only complaint is that the front desk doesn't carry cash to exchange bills for customers... not even to break a $50 bill.

Tina M.

Yelp
Manager ARMINDL LURIS is the rooms, division manager and he can't seem to process the rooms to get guests into them in a timely manner. The bar area has the most uncomfortable chairs. Directions to the restrooms were inadequate and resulted in wandering around trying to find it given the poor signs Instructed. The bar employee was not friendly.

Steven S.

Yelp
Great stay at this very nice hotel. The team here is top notch, rooms although somewhat small by most standards are clean comfortable and exceedingly nice. I highly recommend this establishment in the center of old Lisbon

Yelp
Came here for a remote work spot. They were very friendly and welcoming. They showed us around the lounge/bar area and just asked that we order something while we were there. They didn't fuss over us or make us feel rushed. Good wifi, not crowded, pretty quiet until the music gets turned up a little in the evening. They even helped us print our train tickets. Beer and espresso very reasonably priced.

Yelp
Service was excellent rooms were clean, linens were so clean. Room hotel bathroom soo clean. Complimentary snacks and drinks soo good. Free breakfast was soo good

Yelp
Fabio and the other concierge were so accommodating upon my arrival as a worn traveler. I arrived at 10 PM and they promptly brought me tea, recommended from their menu a Portuguese dish and white wine. They go above and beyond for exceptional service and I will be telling everyone. The room itself is amazing. Originally office building, it is perfectly restored to have charming character with modern amenities. They even give you an iPhone to help navigate the city if you are a traveler with no service. City street views available in certain rooms. Cute custard treats with tea in the lobby. I'm in love with Lisbon and never going home!

Yelp
This hotel was great! The location was amazing!! Right downtown on the backside of their main shopping street, which makes it a little quieter. Everything you'd want to go to in Lisbon is less than a 20 min walk away. I often found myself passing it walking from one location to another, which was extremely convenient for dropping off bags, using the restroom, or charging up my phone. I stayed in the junior interior room, and it was more space than I needed traveling solo. I think it'd be enough room for two people too, but if you had a lot of luggage it might get a little tight. If I go back to Lisbon, I'm definitely staying here!

Yelp
Our 2nd to last lodging in Lisbon, Hotel da Baixa was fine. Nothing glaringly wrong, in a really great location. It was a hotel, and that's what we needed at the time, so I guess I'm A-OK with it. The long and short of it: 1. Room. The room was small, something we had become accustomed to in Lisbon, but overall it was nice. The appearance of the room is very modern but in a cheap sort of way. It kind of minded me of a very small hair salon (lots of white curves and blank walls). Not bad, just not super cozy either. 2. Bed. The bed was hard (also something we knew would happen) but not as hard as some places we stayed. I'd say a 7.5 on the 10 point firmness scale. Not sure you'll find much softer in the city if that's what you're looking for. 3. Location. The selling point of Hotel da Baxia is its spot right in the middle of the main run of Lisbon. The shopping/dining/lively area of the city is a quick walk from the hotel, which is especially nice when you've been walking all over the country for weeks. This is the aspect that puts the hotel apart from others. 4. Price. For the location, the $120ish USD per night was well worth it, especially when we were on the back half of our trip and tired. Not so different form a great AirBnb we had stayed at earlier, I'm not sure I would pay it unless I was more committed to doing less walking and more lounging (which at this point I was). 5. Staff. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, offering us coffee at check-in and ensuring we had everything we needed. When we got to the room, we noticed that there were 2 twin beds instead of a king. This was addressed and resolved almost immediately which our tired selves appreciated. Thanks guys. 6. Phone. They do that thing where they offer you a smart phone to use while in the city so you don't have to rely on WiFi or data. We never use it but it's always nice when a hotel offers it. Hotel da Baxia was fine, but very run-of-the-mill. Aside from it's great location, I'm not sure I'll really remember it apart from any other hotel on any other trip. That being said, there wasn't much wrong with it so I can't complain too much. Overall Grade: C

Yelp
This is an amazing boutique hotel (copying my review from another site, because I love this hotel so much!) 1. Before even arriving at the hotel, I emailed with the hotel a few times (to ask for recommendations) and they always responded in less than 24 hours. 2. We shipped a package from the USA to the hotel and the package was already waiting for us in our suite when we arrived 3. Minor thing, but such an impression: the hotel has a signature scent made specifically for them and it smells lovely 4. The room was absolutely clean and beautiful, but the best part was seeing a welcome bottle of champagne chilling on our table 5. Each room has a complimentary Android phone that guests can use to take while walking around Lisbon (30 min free international calling and unlimited WiFi) 6. The shower, wow: water pressure is fabulous and there are three settings. You can have the water in the shower come out as rain, waterfall, or shower. Bathroom is very large and spacious. 7. You can connect your phone bluetooth to built in speakers in the room so you can have surround sound and listen to your favorite tunes: amazing. 8. Their toiletries are fabulous, they use high end quality shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion, etc. 9. They provide bath SHEETS instead of bath towels! For anyone who has never used bath sheets before, it is hard to go back to bath towels when you try bath sheets 10. For the ladies (and gents that use this) the hairdryer was high end and works amazingly. 11. There are free Portuguese national desserts of pastel de natal (egg custard tarts) in the lobby 12. Breakfast was very delicious and was quite a big spread: vegetarians and carnivores alike will be satisfied with the options 13. Employees were so sweet and accommodating 14. They found out that we had our wedding, so they delivered another complimentary bottle of champagne and assorted trays of delicious desserts 15. The minibar is all complimentary if you do not get towels/beds changed -- this is a great way to encourage being eco-friendly 16. Central location - walk everywhere. 17. Bed was so comfortable, pillows were so fluffly. 18. Sleek design - the closet and minibar look like they are part of the bedroom wall so they are well hidden and everything looks modern/clean. 19. I am sure I am forgetting other things, but this is the favorite place we've ever stayed at and we have stayed at a lot of nice properties like Kimpton, Shangri-La, Sofitel, The W, JW Marriott, etc. We loved that it was a boutique hotel, so it is not a large property, but every little detail was thought out. We loved everything.

Kevin S.

Yelp
My family and I have been traveling across Europe and have stayed in 11 hotels over a 5 week period. We stayed mostly in Marriott Autograph and resort locations. This hotel was our favorite out of all of them. The decor is modern but classic. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location is great. Would highly suggest visiting the market less than a half a block away, grabbing something to eat and drink and take a tour on a Tuk Tuk. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Lisbon.
