Beware of this hotel. I don’t leave bad reviews, especially since a bad review can impact small businesses unfairly. However, I have to make an exception for this hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel one night after a longer stay in Paris followed by a tour of northern France. I decided to splurge on a more expensive hotel on our last night so we could be close to the Garden of Luxembourg. Our room looked nothing like the photos. There were signs of water damage, cracking paint, and chunks of dry wall removed throughout the room. The bathroom was even worse-the tub was covered in sticky black mud, the floor tiles had dirt, the ceiling paint was badly peeling off. Given that we had an early flight the night day and I had read other reviews that the hotel does not reimburse, I let things go and let the host know at check out that we were very disappointed in our stay. Her response was puzzling. She said she gave us our room -room 10- because the nicer room-room 13-had a broken air conditioner. I want other tourists to know that this place is a scam and you are better off staying in a less flashy part of town. Canal Saint Martin is a cool area off the beaten path with amazing hotels that cost way less than this place.

Absolutely loved this hotel! Super cute with a quirky yet charming vibe that gives it so much personality. The location is perfect — close to everything but still peaceful. The views from the room were beautiful, and the whole place just felt cozy and unique. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 nights. Upon our arrival, our room was not ready but the staff was really accommodating and let us leave our luggage while exploring the city. The same happened on our departure day. Our flight was on late evening (22:00) and they safely guarded our suitcases after checking out of the room, so that we enjoyed an extra day in the city. The room itself was a typical Parisian room. Small but very comfortable, while cleverly planned inside to fit everything we needed (comfortable beds, storage room, spacious bathroom, a TV and a full-body mirror, a pot for boiling water and basic necessities like coffee, tea, sugar, as well as glasses). There were even an iron with an ironing board available, which was crucial as I attended a conference and my suits were wrinkled during traveling. The staff members were really helpful throughout our stay, providing information on what to see and how to get there. Always friendly and keen to know about our experiences. The cleaning was impeccable, better from what was expected considering other experiences in the city. Tidying up the room, change of sheets and towels every single day! The location is ideal. A quiet neighborhood with multiple options for food and drinks (an award-winning boulangerie at the corner!), while major sightseeing locations, like Notre Dame and the Louvre Museum are within walking distance (30-35 minutes max - the best way to explore Paris and actually experience the city). The Luxemburg Gardens are literally 2 minutes away on foot, where you can enjoy the walks, your breakfast or even a pic-nic during lunch hours. Do not forget to see the street market underneath the hotel at the beginning of each week. It is very close to the RER B Luxemburg station, straight from CGD Airport, and the broad sidewalks make it easy to walk with luggage. Despite being at the city center, the hotel is very quiet, as all windows have soundproof installations. I strongly recommend this hotel and I am definitely going back when going to Paris again!

They didn't wanted to return reservation due to the technical issue on their website booking process. Waited whole week from Monday to speak to the so-called "director" who was avaliable on Saturday and he basically said so sorry I can't do anything, your mistake if you don't want to come. At least little decency should be shown. I even offered to pay for my mistake with some in return of my hard earned money. Well good luck with money hope you enjoy it.

We recently stayed for three nights at the Danemark in the very charming 6th Arrondissement on rue Vavin. The location was excellent.|It was an easy 3 - 5 minute walk from the Vavin Metro stop which meant that we could wheel our bags down the street to the hotel without any difficulty and could easily jump on the metro to head off and explore the city.|The Danemark is a small hotel so it does not have the facilities of a large hotel and there is no car park (although who’d want to drive in Paris anyway). However staff were consistently helpful and friendly and it was an excellent base for exploring Paris. |It was reasonably priced for the area - you can certainly pay a lot more to stay here.|We booked a Superior Double room but space was limited and the room felt cramped partly because it was an odd shape but mainly because a desk and a large set of not-very-useful drawers took up a fair amount of floorspace. The room was also quite dark and although there were two windows, there was not much natural light. |On the plus side, there was a kettle so we could make a cup of tea and overall, the room was comfortable and clean. A lift meant that we did not have to carry bags up or down stairs.|Breakfast was included and was served in the bottom floor dining area. It was a fairly basic affair of croissants, pastries and fruit but the staff were very attentive and friendly and always offered us a selection of pastries to take away with us.|Immediately surrounding the hotel are a couple of sight-seeing highlights - the Luxembourg Gardens and the church of Saint Sulpice. The Gardens are just at the end of Rue Vavin (about 5 - 6 minute walk).|The surrounding streets are lined with small interesting shops and upmarket boutiques (I bought some lovely children’s clothing at Petit Bateau). There are lots of smart cafes and restaurants but you will find a range to suit different budgets. We particularly enjoyed Le Relais d’Entrecote, which was just a few minutes walk from the hotel, on Boulevard du Montparnasse.|GETTING THERE: From Gare du Nord, use the Metro line 4 and exit Vavin Station, the walk 3 min from Boulevard du Montparnasse down Rue Vavin to the hotel.

I recently stayed here for 3 nights. All the reviews say the rooms are dirty etc but I found no dirt anywhere in the room, no dust etc. our room was smallish but we didn’t mind as we were out all day anyway. Breakfast was tasty and the server was so polite and helpful despite speaking little english. It’s right next to a tube so that’s really helpful. We had a bath and a shower head but it didn’t attach the wall so that was a bit difficult to use. There was NO BED BUGS or any infestations I could find. I would recommend it if you don’t want a 5* hotel. It has a kettle and coffee in the room etc. staff were polite and helpful at reception. Only issue I had was I found 1 small hair on one of the towels but I just picked it off and put it in the bin. The hotel was nice.

Great location, friendly and warm caring staff. The room was clean, hygiene 5+, no need to worry about 24-hour access to hotel. The hotel is small, everything you need is available, including an iron. Good access to public transport and lots of cafes nearby. Only good memories👍

The fact that this hotel is labeled as a 3-star was shocking to both myself and my partner, as the rooms were so dirty and in need of renovation that we packed our bags and left at 11pm the night we checked in. Walls and surfaces were all covered in a thick layer of dust, sheets were stained and had other guest's hair in them, mystery hair on a "clean" towel, and completely water-damaged, peeling walls. Bathroom was also not cleaned well and in serious need of an upgrade. We were offered to move to another room, but considering the state of this one, we declined and left for another property. For a 3-star we weren't expecting much, but we did expect it to at least be clean.

Yelp
Hotel Danemark is a nice little hotel in nice Parisian neighborhood. It has character and local vibe to it, and that's what we loved about it. The room and quality of stay was okay, but not more than that. The room was nice but a bit cramped and small. The bathroom was tiny and needed some fixing. The room was cleaned every day but not everything (like towels) was regularly refreshed. It is a really nice opportunity though to stay somewhere with a bit more character than the more touristic areas. There are much more local options and Luxembourg Gardens and the Latin quarter are in walking distance. We would probably go elsewhere is our next visit for Paris, but enjoyed our stay at this hotel nonetheless.
