Hôtel d'Angleterre Champs-Elysées

This was such a lovely hotel. The decor is lovely, especially in the rooms with gorgeous pink sheets, towels and robes. The staff are all brilliant. Cecile was incredibly helpful before our visit and was lovely when we checked in and gave my daughter some treats. I left my daughter’s birth certificate in the room after check out and the staff were very helpful getting this back to me. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but it looked decent and the room was pleasant. I would definitely return here. The location was great too.

Clearly, some reviewers haven’t been to Europe before. Rooms and elevator are small - this is standard. The design is to die for and the location is AMAZING. Staff is lovely and speaks perfect English. Yes, the hotel still has the old (non-Boétie) name on the sign and on the doors/card reader. Just know both names and you’ll be fine.

The design of the hotel is stunning. I loved looking around at every thoughtful detail. The bed sheets and towels were of the highest quality. For the design component, this is a very special hotel! The staff was so kind and we were well taken care of. The only downside is the location. It’s located on a grimy street without charm. It’s 2 blocks from the Champs Elysées. For me, that’s not the ideal Paris location, but it could be for others.

First of all, I would like to thank you for great welcome by reception. A smooth and warm voice tone was the first thing that greets us, which is probably more important than many things. The hotel is very close to Champs-Elysee and between the important metro lines 1 and 9. There're many food options nearby, a mid-size market and a pharmacy is also very close. Although the location, room vas very quite. Bathroom was very satisfactory because there was always hot water, enough towels and all the things were very clean. The only negligible thing is, TV is not connected to hotel internet although it was a smart tv, but it's really not important. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel. I don’t think this is a 4 star hotel. Far from it. There was only 1 elevator and it was so tiny. It was broken when I got there so you had to climb the narrow stair. By the time it was fixed, it moved so slow that you had to wait for long and wondered if it was safe to get on it. There was no one to help you with the luggage (there was only 1 person on the reception and no one else, no concierge, no bell boy). The reception said it was a small hotel so you had to carry your own luggage to your room (by stair since the elevator was broken). The name of the hotel is different on apps (hotel de boeti) with the signage at the hotel (hotel d’angleterre) The only positive thing about this hotel is its location that is close to champs elysees.

Stunningly decorated hotel, with a surprisingly large and comfortable breakfast room/bar area, a very generous and delicious breakfast, and very friendly yet professional staff. Off the champs Élysées in a buzzing street, walking distance to many places including le Louvre. Also big shout out to their well curated and personalized online guide. Quality spots. Have slept there twice now, will definitely go back !

Hôtel de la Boétie is a big mistake. We arrived 30-45 mins past the checkin time but the room was not ready. We were not the only ones as there were others who didn’t get their rooms on time. Worst part of the reception was shady and didn't communicate how much time it would take to get everything ready. We did get our room by 5 pm. They should have just been honest and upfront with us. |The elevator is so tiny that it fits one person at a time. We booked the most expensive room but we got a room with 2 single beds. The actual room was not the same as the photos online. |The room heat seems to be centralized and set to 27 C/80 F. We had to open the windows. Our room was by the street and it was extremely loud the whole night. The toiletries and water pressure in the bathroom was good other than that nothing else was either working or was enjoyable. |I felt this place is a European hostel trying to pass as a 4* hotel. I would give it a ZERO star and avoid it as a plague. |I am surprised there aren't more bad reviews. I witnessed other unhappy guests too. I hope this review helps people with their decision.

Beautiful, chic and centrally located hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and striking, with lovely touches like Bakelite phones and fluffy robes. The design is carefully considered and never gimmicky, this feels like a grown-up boutique hotel. We appreciated the complementary breakfast including great and strong coffee. Our stay was slightly marred by being put in the wrong room category for our first night - took some discussion to get resolved, but the hotel did refund the price difference.
