Love this hotel! It is perfectly situated, allowing us to walk to many of the tourist sites. The hotel is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Our room was on the 4th floor, overlooking the courtyard, and was very large. There is a small elevator so you don't need to take the stairs. We enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast every day, complete with cappucino and a fresh croissant. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond in service by helping us get back my husband's bag that he left behind. We definitely recommend this hotel for your Paris vacation.

This quaint hotel was in the perfect location. Traveling solo, I felt perfectly safe and there were so many shopping and food options nearby. Also, the metro was a 5 minute walk and very convenient. The staff was so friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was wonderful and offered a lot of choices and was perfect for me. It was a bit chilly and windy when I was traveling so I didn't really get to enjoy the outside sitting area but hopefully in the future as I would definitely stay here again. The room was larger than expected and had a wonderful, large bathtub. There was a small desk and even a safe. Plenty of pillows and warm blankets. The window also opened if you wanted a little fresh air. There is an elevator, but quite small. The hotel was older but with a little modern flair. I thought it was just perfect.

I'm a regular at L'Hôtel d'Angleterre. I think of it as my home away from home in this wonderful 4-star boutique establishment. The english-speaking french staff is friendly, very accommodating and really cares about your experience as their guest. It's 6eme left bank location is central to all the city has to offer. 44 Rue Jacob is quietly tucked away between the iconic Place Saint-Germain des Près and the spectacular panoramic views of the River Seine. You can easily walk to the 5eme or 7eme arrondisements and over to the 1er on the right bank in 5-10mins. I highly recommend it to all who are looking to be in the know for the best address to stay.

The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance of the Musee d'Orsay, Louvre, Notre Dame etc. We were in 'Deluxe' rooms facing the street with plenty of space, tall windows, a separate lounge area and a huge comfortable bed. The brown marble bathroom with walk-in shower and bath, had no window, but no extractor fan either. The furnishings were good quality, but dated. More important for us was that we went in a scorching heatwave and there is no air conditioning. Each room had been given 2 very efficient fans, but it was still hot. There is a tiny lift to some of the rooms, but apparently not all. Breakfast was included. This is an old fashioned hotel, comfortable, but expensive. The location is the main attraction.

We booked two rooms at this hotel two months in advance for our family of four, arriving on 25 August. We specifically requested the rooms to be together. Unfortunately, on arrival we were given rooms in separate parts of the hotel, not even on the same floor or in the same building. One room was accessible by lift, so I had to stay there with my son who uses crutches, while my wife and daughter stayed in the other. This split our family, which was very disappointing.||The rooms themselves were worn out and in need of upgrades. We liked the classic style, but the furniture and condition of the rooms were poor. The hotel has no air conditioning. With outside temperatures around 25–27°C, the rooms were very hot. Only small fans were provided, and we had to keep the windows open, which made it noisy from the street well into the night. Sleeping was very difficult.||The bathrooms were also a problem. In my room, the shower drain was blocked, and the shower head had visible mold. My son refused to use it as it didn’t feel clean. The other room had the same issues plus a strong, unpleasant smell from the toilet area, which made the room uncomfortable to stay in.||Breakfast was another disappointment. The croissants were greasy, the baguette tasted old, and the omelettes served were among the worst we’ve ever had in Paris or anywhere.||Because of all these problems, we decided to check out after one night, even though we had booked for three. We moved to a nearby hotel, where the experience was completely different and very positive.||I am leaving this review to help other travelers be aware before booking. Our experience was unfortunately poor on all fronts rooms, comfort, cleanliness, and breakfast.

My husband and I visited Paris in early July and stayed at the Hotel d'Angleterre. It is the cutest hotel on a lovely street in the best neighborhood in Paris. Our room was large and nicely appointed. We also really enjoyed the breakfast on the patio. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly, helpful and kind. We will definitely stay again!

Great location was nullified by the heat during our stay. Ended up Ubering and not walking as planned. Many good restaurants nearby. Breakfast ok. To be honest, the hotel is getting shabby and needs a refit. We were surprised there was no AC- the friends who referred us had been there in the spring. That was probably on us, but it would have been helpful for that to have been on the website. We started out in a 4th floor room that was already about 85 Degrees F. Ended up in a smaller but serviceable inside wall room on the first floor which worked out fine other than a busted toilet the first night which was fixed the next morning. It is listed as a 4 star hotel, but truly it's a 3. |Our room had only a tub, but no washcloths- think about that. |Staff tried to be helpful but service was spotty- we asked for a taxi reservation to Versailles and they got us a "pirate" cab that cost us a lot more than an official cab.

Seven nights at this lovely historic hotel and it was a wonderful experience. It’s in great neighborhood on a fairly quiet street which was nice even after the PSG win! No air conditioning which was noticeable on two of the nights but with a very good fan that is provided it was fine. Nice continental breakfast included each morning and I really liked the old school key to the room which you hand to the 24 hour desk attendant each time you leave. In room safe and large well stocked bathroom, this hotel was a great respite after long days of site seeing. Thumbs up 👍
