Hotel Dann Monasterio

This pet friendly, beautiful and quiet hotel has great charm. The building is from the 16th century and you can feel the peace. The beds are comfortable and the hot water shower has good water pressure. Parking is secure and the location is perfect to explore the city. The restaurant has great food as well. We loved this place and found it a great price for what you get.

A magical place, great experience, there is noise from the cars and some late guess at night and in the morning there is the bells of the church but nothing to bothersome. I will say the only thing is that there is no free bottle of water all is part of the mini bar.

Hotel Dann Monasterio exceded our expectations. The place is fascinating! The service is outstanding, and despite the colonial era natural wear of the place, the management has been taking amazing care of every single detail to make the building look well preserved! I was very pleased by the way the staff handled all of our requests during our stay. I cannot recommend this place more!

A confortable hotel for the price with very kind and formal service. The breakfast is especially nice. I saw complaints about the breakfast in reviews and have no idea what people are talking about. The property is a bit sleepy but lots of events are held here on weekend nights. I enjoyed listening to the live music in the evenings. The gym is basically some ancient equipment thrown into a spare room - but again … it’s an older, traditional hotel, not a modern business hotel. Rooms are big and cozy with windows facing the courtyard.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of the historic center of Popayan. A former monastery, it is a national historic building. The bedrooms are very large and comfortable, with fridge and TV with streaming services. Some bedrooms have terraces. The hotel grounds are tranquil and beautifully decorated. A free buffet style breakfast is provided which was outstanding.The staff were extremely friendly, professional and attentive. Within the heart of Popayan and all the churches, Museums and sights just minutes away walking. Make you visit to Popayan extra special and memorable with a stay at the Dann Monasterio Popayan

Great hotel! After more than a week of staying in some random and small places, it felt like luxury to find a clean hotel with wifi (everywhere!) and hot water in the shower! It was very clean and the customer service was impeccable. I think I was nearly the only tourist there, but everyone attended to me and helped me. I am especially grateful to Nathalie who was working in the kitchen. I walked down and gave her my dinner order, and she went above and beyond to make it special and deliver it to me. She was so kind and sweet...totally made my stay. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Fascinating! Breakfast is delicious! With the most exquisite local treats! Location is perfect and the facilities are well preserved. 

Wonderful hotel, service and food options. Its location is perfect to walk around the colonial downtown and it's 5 minutes away from the airport by car. Only recommendation would be to change the electricity sockets location in the rooms as it's difficult to access them
