This hotel truly holds a special place in our hearts. From the very first time my wife and I stayed here, we knew it was something extraordinary. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the genuine care from every member of the team make each visit unforgettable. The staff consistently go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued — it never feels like we’re just guests; it feels like we’re coming home. What amazes us most is that even after five years of returning, the quality, warmth, and service have never slipped for a moment. Everything, from the immaculate rooms to the thoughtful little touches, shows how much pride and love goes into running this place. We can honestly say it’s the most incredible hotel we’ve ever been to, and it’s why we’ll keep coming back for many years to come.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. We were greeted with exceptional friendliness and attention to detail, loved the breakfast and especially enjoyed the Spa. One highlight is the separate kids spa area, making it a great place for families also. Huge thank you to the team!

From the moment we arrived until the very second we left, this hotel was exceptional. Every single staff member we interacted with was perfect - switching from German to English immediately to help us understand better and providing service levels we honestly haven’t experienced. This is our first visit to Germany - so we were a little bit nervous about travelling with dogs and language barriers! ||We were travelling with 2 dogs and the hotel could not have been more helpful or welcoming. ||Our room was a 2 level room with the bed on the mezzanine level, very decent shower and well appointed furniture. ||The rooftop pool and terrace is outstanding - a beautiful spot, with again incredibly attentive service.||We had both dinner and breakfast and the food was every bit as deserving of the Michelin stars as expected. ||Everything about this hotel has been well thought out and incredibly well executed with class, charm and taste. ||As seasoned travellers who have quite literally been all over the world and stayed in some of the most incredible hotels - Das James blows everywhere we have been out of the water. Absolutely a joy to visit. ||Next time we are here we will stay for longer!

The kids spa is absolutely perfect. The beds are good. The adult pool is alright for some small laps. It's surprisingly not very crowded. Breakfast was plenty of choices although the service could be better.

Got charged 120 euros to charge the car. Aircon in the room didn't work. We had to get up to serve our own wine as the restaurant staff was more interested in preparing for next day's breakfast. Ridiculous gym design - gym was at full capacity sunday morning 8 am. And we paid 620 euros (+ the 120 for charging!!) for the experience. ||We were on a roadtrip coming from the south of Europe and needed a rest somewhere in northern Germany. After some googling we decided to treat ourselves to a stay at Das James - much because they offered overnight charging in a private garage. Next day we woke up to a charge of 118 euros as they charge per minute after you are done charging. Nobody puts on an alarm to move their car at 2 AM in the morning when using an overnight charger at a hotel. This is an absolute scam. The hotel takes no responsibility and say the charge point is operated by a third-party - even if it's installed in their private garage. Horrible customer service and just shows an arrogance beyond belief.||The night before we had dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food was good but the experience was totally ruined by staff who didn't pay attention at all. Our wine bottle was taken care of by the staff for them to refill our glasses when needed - only problem is they never paid attention. Several times we had to wave them down to have our glass refilled and last time we had to get up and ask them to leave the bottle on our table.||When we got to bed the aircon didn't work. We were already so tired that we didn't bother to complain. Nobody wants to call for service personnel 11 pm when you are already ready for bed.||Next morning we went to the gym only to realise that it was completely packed — by 5 people! The design of this gym is beyond ridiculous and a large boxing ring takes up half the space. Needless to say none of the 5 people in there used the boxing ring because who goes to a spa hotel to work on their boxing...

Fine and good hotel, very nice location. Clean and nice. No furniture on the terrass. Only for those who paid more? We took 1/2 pension. DO NOT DO that. Breakfast was outstanding, but dinner was very poor and very “cheap”. I recommend you either do a la carte or find another place to dine. Our room was upper wintergarden? Not much wintergarden here and Absolutely no view. Give sendes spa….. hmm did not sake any of my sences and not in my top 25 of spa. I do not think we are coming back. I could see “Rich” people get quite another service than us poor danes. 950 euro fortrolig nights. Not worth it - sorry to say

We had the best experience. Lovely staff. Good ambience. Nice rooms. Good value for money (we did the lucky Sunday offer) Lunch was low key and homey. Dinner was everything we wanted. Breakfast was amazing. Overall a very good stay for out babymoon 😄
