Disappointing Experience at a Supposed 4-Star Hotel
I must be old-fashioned, but I still expect some basic hospitality at a 4-star hotel. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests. No one offered to help with luggage it was very much a "do it yourself" experience. The staff was in the back when we arrived , there was no greeting, no "welcome to our hotel," nothing.
Check-in was cold and impersonal. The receptionist said:
"Hello, your name is...? You’re staying one night, without breakfast, here’s your key, the lift is behind you."
That was it. No information about the hotel, no mention of the spa, restaurant, or breakfast options. I had to ask about the welcome drink myself first, I was told it could be used in the restaurant, then I was told, no, only at the bar. Confusing and not particularly friendly.
We booked a Twin Room based on the photos showing a spacious layout with a large window and mentioning a high-floor location. What we actually received was on the first floor, with a tiny window unless you're tall, you can barely see out of it. Definitely not what was advertised. Look more like a Family room with an extra-large sofa bed.
Wrong informations need to update website, Eau minérale gratuite , bouteilles d eau ? oui dans le lobby de l eau
As a Platinum member, I also expected some recognition or basic amenities. There were none.
Overall, a very underwhelming experience that felt more like a 2 star stay than what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.
