Wonderful stay at Hôtel de Gruyères! Spent the weekend here and genuinely loved the experience. The welcome was warm and friendly, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view… absolutely breathtaking — castle, mountains, and the whole Gruyères valley right in front of you. A peaceful, charming hotel in an unbeatable location. Would happily come back! 🇨🇭✨

Family owned property and old world charm in bucoluc, peaceful surroundings with very short stroll into town-proper and enjoy the car free surroundings. Many rooms have small personal balcony, be sure to specifically book. Rooms are quiet, windows open. Downside is tight quarter, limited electric outlets (we had a total of 2 and could rotate using light, fan, or charging devices), tiny (dated) bathroom was adequate. We were fortunate to have an upper corner room with windows open to both sides for air circulation. All in all, a good choice for close proximity, quiet sleeping, and very good breakfast.|Nespresso coffee machine was very welcome to this guest! Incredibly lovely staff.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel as a mid way stop from the Netherlands to Italy. Although it was just for one night it has left a lasting impression. From the ascetics of the hotel to the food for breakfast everything was perfect. |The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, with suggestions on what to do in the town. |I had forgotten an item in the hotel and they have gone above and beyond in facilitating its return. 10/10 We will be returning here again and would advise anyone to book a stay at this hotel.

This is a very special place that offers comfort and exceptional views as well as easy access to one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland, Gruyere. I have vacationed here for years and continue to come back for a lovely stay with an amazing buffet breakfast. Thank you to your team for making my stays exceptional.

Just like many hotels in Europe that are in old buildings, there is no elevator. I would say it is not accessible for people who may be in wheelchairs. We drove a car, and we were able to find a space to park right next to the hotel. But the entrance/road to parking lot is very small so look carefully. We booked a regular room Room is very small. Not enough room to lay out our checked-in size luggage. And my husband had to carry the luggage up to second story. There’s no AC. We wanted to open the window to cool down, but there were no but screens… and a couple bugs came in. But the location was excellent! So as long as you were aware of those certain things mentioned above, there shouldn’t be any unpleasant surprises.

The perfect place to spend our belated honeymoon. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. The room with the balcony gave us the most peaceful & romantic views. Falling asleep to the sound of the crickets & cowbells was magical. It is close enough to the Chateau to easily walk in & enjoy the village but far enough to have peace & quiet. We will be returning soon hopefully ❤️

We stayed for two nights. The location is good, the best was the personnel in reception: Every girl was very friendly and professional. The sauna was a pleasant surprise! I give only 3 stars for the breakfast, the personnel of the breakfast, the total price in off season and the room. The rooms are very old and the bathroom needs a renovation, mostly the shower! I would recommend it for a night or two

Our family's stay at Hotel de Gruyères was truly exceptional! The hotel itself is a beautiful, historic building that feels like a step back in time, offering a charming glimpse into the region's prestigious past. It's a place where you can really feel the history and enjoy the peaceful, quaint atmosphere. One of the biggest advantages was the hotel's private parking. Being situated high on the mountain, this saved us from the often tiring task of hauling luggage up the steep slopes. The location is absolutely perfect, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It's a photographer's dream! The hotel's close proximity to the iconic Gruyères Castle and the picturesque village made it the ideal base for exploring the area. We could easily walk to the castle and wander through the charming streets of the village, soaking in the local culture and beauty. A delightful and memorable touch was the room keys, which were charming little cowbells! It added a fun, unique, and authentic Swiss element to our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. They were always ready to answer our questions and offer recommendations. We especially appreciated the discount vouchers they gave us for the shops in Gruyères village. Hotel de Gruyères is a 5-star experience that we highly recommend. It offers a perfect blend of historic charm, stunning views, convenient location, and exceptional service. It's the ideal place to create lasting memories in the heart of Gruyères.

Yelp
We loved our stay at hotel de gruyères! Phenomenal location, comfortable and cozy rooms, very friendly staff, and great restaurant! Not only was our room cozy, but the view was incredible! Looking out to rolling hills, cows, deer, biplanes, and the storybook-like views you can only find in Switzerland is incredible. And the bed was comfortable. You cannot beat the location. Nestled at the entrance to the medieval city, staying here allows you to both easily walk anywhere in the city and park your car in their lot right by your rooms. No lugging your briefcase over cobblestones to get to your hotel in the medieval city, and no driving to get to the medieval city. And you aren't sacrificing any beautiful architecture staying here - it's a great building. The restaurant is so good! We had a lot of fun with the raclette, and the ice cream and meringue dessert was huge but super fun. If I ever came back to Gruyeres, I would definitely stay here again. We had a great time!

Yelp
We had three lovely experiences at this restaurant during our four night stay in Gruyeres. We left every meal noting the great customer service and how lovely the atmosphere was. Note that all menus in Gruyeres are extremely identical so good customer service is a great way to set them apart. During our three visits we tried a variety of wines, Cafe Vienna, the beef broth soup, fondue, raclette, meringue and double cream, liqueur soaked cherries with ice cream and double cream and the salad. One dish that set this eatery apart was their version of the Brazilian pan de queso with gruyere stuffed in the center (perfection!). You'll notice that this restaurant takes over two buildings across the street from one another with patio seating as well as indoor (two levels). We really appreciated that they allowed us to share the one serving size of both the fondue and raclette (ordering two portions is not only too much food but pricey as well).

Yelp
What an amazing tow. In the middle of Zurich and Geneva this place has the most wonderful mountain views and a truly breath taking castle. I can't wait to come back in winter. If your interested in Alien movies HRGiger has his museum here as well as his bar.
