Hotel de Guimarães

This hotel is perfect for families! The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. The reception staff were incredibly efficient, making check-in a breeze. We also loved the friendly and kind bartender, who made our stay even more enjoyable. The spa and gym were wonderful additions, offering a relaxing escape and a great way to unwind. Highly recommend!

Extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled which was canceled without any notice. I would highly recommend rethinking your stay. I was shocked with the gross treatment and rudeness of this establishment. Once again I highly recommend not using this establishment. Disgusted

Wow! ITS A REALLY GREAT HOTEL with all that must have and more! Lovely bar with huge city view and grand piano also gym and swiming pool. The restaurant is amazing and its a full 10!

We loved the hotel. Big room. Great spa. Well located close to the city centre. Just breakfast could be improved.

This hotel has a very good location, being a mere 7-9 minutes walk from the historic city center. The rooms are clean and spacious enough to be 4-star level, and the service lacks nothing. What really stood out is the very good gym and pool facility. They got a fully equipped gym, good-sized pool, and a Spa area with sauna. The breakfast is nothing special, but at least they have an option for gluten-free guests, such as myself. Potentially worth to go back to, when I decide to visit Guimarães again.

The location is OK about 15 minutes walking from the city center. The building from the outside is a bit old and not very nice but inside is comfortable. The room was nice, spacious, clean and quiet (with a orrible view) and the beds were a little tight and uncomfortable. Breakfast and dinner buffet are adequate and covers most requirements but they offer nothing exciting and they were identical every day. Dtaff is friendly and helpfiul.

The room was larger than expected and we even had a huge balcony area. The beds are comfortable and they had quality toiletries. We had free parking and breakfast was included. Staff are nice and informative. We had welcome drinks at the bar. It’s a 10 minute walk to old town Guimarães.

Easy hotel to stay at with free parking which is a real bonus. However a BIG CAUTION about the management and the credit card payments. We were charged twice by the hotel and I worked for over 2 hours with my credit card company to get the money refunded. The hotel lied about the double booking to the credit card company. It took tears and escalation to get them to believe me about not being willfully cancelled. Very discouraging they weren't more helpful and knowledgable about international reservations since they are a business hotel. Don't be deceived by the 'spa'. It is marginal. Good breakfast and comfortable rooms otherwise.
