I liked the 70s vibe inside! Great location - short walk to the ski lifts, bus stop shops or the cheap kebab place nearby. The staff were very helpful and happy to chat - especially Victor. The breakfast was also great.

There was no functioning elevator, so we had to drag our luggage up two flights of stairs, which was very stressful. My room was extremely hot, and I had to keep the balcony door open the entire time. Meanwhile, my other friends complained that their rooms were too cold. The breakfast options were quite limited, and it was a 15 to 20-minute walk to the nearest shop and restaurant.

We had a great stay here for the weekend. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the bedroom had loads of hooks and storage etc that make your life easier and so many places miss. The balcony was lovely to sit out on in the evening facing the mountains. Real double bed and duvet was a rare treat. All the staff were very friendly and kind. We really appreciated that they let us back into our room after checkout to shower after a day mountain biking before the journey home.

Stayed in hotel de la foret for 4 nights in February. We went solely for skiing so all we required was a comfortable room, somewhere for our equipment and a nice breakfast in the morning. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The room was warm and cozy with a spectacular view, and the service was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit of an uphill walk to the ski lift, but if you aren't up for it there is a free shuttle stopping outside the hotel that takes 1 minute to get you to the lift.
I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a very affordable and comfortable stay in Crans Montana.

The family hotel in Crans-Montana was fantastic. It's right next to the ski slopes, which was very convenient. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious. The staff was friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

View from the room was exceptional. The facilities at the hotel were ok but have seen better. No coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms, bottled water in room were chargeable at 3 CHF per bottle and restaurant closed at 1900!! Hair dryer should have been included in the room according to the specification but had to be requested at reception. The hotel location was high up in the mountains. Great if you are capable (driving and walking) but could be too much for some people if not so mobile. Town centre was ca. 1.5 km from the hotel with several restaurants offering a good range of food types.|The limited on site facilities could have been better.

Shocking!! Last refurbished 1979.. it’s like walking back in time (and not in a good way). No service, No facilities to speak of, nor a working kitchen. Breakfast was a masterclass in how to put out a minimal offering and remove all cost from it. The lift is so small it is hard to get in (1 person) with a bag… and then it shudders rather worryingly. Rooms are horrid! Bathrooms … see photo. Bath soo narrow you have to lie on your shoulder and hold your breath!!! This is a zero star hotel!! Only other guests are tradesmen working on local projects!!

Really nice hotel. Friendly staff and very good breakfast (Continental). Rooms are warm and good size, beds comfy. Yes, a little tired in places but perfect for a no frills getaway to Crans Montana for a few days.
