We, a mature couple, arrived much earlier than planned, but this did not provide a problem for the hotel or for us. The car park is small, but quite adequate and it gets the car off the street. The exterior of the hotel look somewhat traditional, but the interior is bright, clean and freshly painted. Our room was a reasonable size with a spacious bathroom. This had a large walk-in shower with a range of toiletries provided as well as good quality towels and a hair driver. The breakfast was good value with a great selection of food e.g. Fruit, yoghurts, croissants and breads as well as tea/coffee.

The room was spacious and clean with a good modern bathroom. The problem was that the hotel is on a busy main road by a roundabout so the noise went on until the small hours of the morning - for instance on the second night there were agricultural heavy vehicles going past after 1.00 am for the best part of an hour. It was hot so there was really no option but to have the window open.||||We took the buffet breakfast in the hotel both mornings which was pleasant but nothing was replenished so if you missed the croissants...||||||The staff were polite but did not go out of their way to be helpful or friendly

Good choice of hotel for a night! The ratings were correct, and we enjoyed our stay. Especially since we arrived later than initially agreed but were instructed by telephone calls and e-mails on how to enter. Walking distance to the harbor and its multitude of restaurants, and the marked next morning, also confirmed the hotel's attractiveness. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to eat at the in-house restaurant. Next time, though, we'll be certain to do so.

Amazing hotel in a cute little town with an excellent service. Spacious and clean rooms, very friendly owners who work in the hotel, excellent breakfast... Nothing negative to say about this place at all, well worth they money. The restaurant in the hotel is worth a visit too. The location is very good as it is close to the center of the town.

Hotel de la Marne sits smack next to the main road. Hmmm....we were a bit disappointed to start off with but in fact the stay turned out to be quite pleasant. The room was spacious, a huge bright bathroom to top it off. Staff was very friendly and we spent a good night at the hotel. Woke up in the morning to find out that in fact tyhe hotel is within walking distance from the port area, if you walk the right direction...so all was forgiven! I do recommend for a quiet nights stay. The restaurant was full in the evening, we did not dine there. But was told that the food is super.

Having read the reviews we were really excited to eat here. Needless to say it lived up to expectations. |The decor was really nice and relaxing, I loved the glasses, cutlery and whole ambience. |The menu is in French (obviously) (but the waiter really helped us in translating) there are 3 prices and about 3 starters, and 3 mains on each and then you get a choice of dessert and/or cheese. 39€,49€,69€.|We chose off the 49€ menu and had 2 rounds of tasty appetisers to start|We all chose the foie gras with smoked eel and oyster, when it arrived it was like a master piece with tantalisingly tastes and it was delicious. This was then followed by the beef, again delicious!! Gorgeously presented, colours, textures-yummy!!! If I was being really critical it would have been nicer with 3 chunks of beef not two, but hey that's me just being a pig!!! Finally the dessert was my favourite!! Omg white chocolate sort of chunky chocolate filled with passionfruit and banana (I hate banana so was apprehensive but you couldn't taste it-phew) but the taste was sooooo yummie, the ice cream also sat on popping candy so it sounded fun and exciting even before you put it into your mouth!!! Food heaven!!! My hubby and dad had the cheese, they have 2 different choices one with white chocolate and raspberries and the other one was more soft cheeses both came with a scrummy sorbet! Finally the meal finished with homemade chocolates!!! The food from start to finish was truly amazing, it was artistic, creative, and tasted delicious! The service, timings and professionalism was outstanding we never wanted for anything. If you want delicious food that's not pretentious in a really cool friendly atmosphere push the boat out and have a special night here. It's well worth the money and a delicious treat!!! Hats off to chef and staff would defiantly come back if we are ever in paimpol again.

Old character building with modern interior situated short walk from the old town and harbour. The hotel has its own excellent restaurant and serves a first class spread for breakfast. With friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms and its own carpark it comes highly recommended.

|We have been eating at this restaurant for the last 25 years, whenever we visit Paimpol and despite it having changed ownership during that period, it never fails to impress. Today we had lunch, there are a number of menus from the reasonable plat du jour to the most expensive at 54€, which included lobster for the main course. We chose their menu de Breizh at 48€, this was for 3 courses, ( foie gras, veal filet with ris de veau, followed by a white chocolate dessert, with far too many calories), my descriptions do not do justice to the chefs artistry and of course in addition you also get an appetiser with your aperitif, an amusée prior to your starter and chocolates with coffee. As usual the food was beautifully presented and tasted superb, service was excellent and we washed the meal down with a very nice bottle of wine from the Pays du Gard, (46€), wines with the VDPQ designation do represent excellent value for money and la Marne has a good choice on their wine list. We look forward to our next visit.
