Hotel de la Paix

The place is well located almost close to city center. One needs to get there though a by-lane behind a bakery in-front of the lake to quickly reach the hotel at the end of the lane.||Check in was quick and smooth|Room was nice with great view of the main road.|I was specially impressed with the quality of balcony door which when shut would shun all the outside noise.|There is a nice work-desk facing the road.|Sleep quality was good.|Breakfast was standard European stuff but nice.|The lady at the reception was extremely helpful in helping us with out travel plans. Its entirely because of her that we could enjoy TGitlis just at the right time.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel De la Paix during my visit to Luzern, and it was a delightful experience. Right from the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and were genuinely helpful throughout my stay. The hotel's cleanliness and attention to detail were evident, making me feel comfortable and at ease in my room. The location of the hotel is quite convenient, with a bus stop within walking distance and the Luzern Train Station not too far away. This accessibility made it easy for me to explore the city and its many attractions without any hassle.

The hospitality was excellent. People were very kind in the administration and willing to help with everything. I felt free and happy. The breakfast service was excellent. The cleaning team were very kind. Barbara and Ilaria were very helpful, warmf and kind.

Great location. Staff are great. Accommodated us when we requested a different room, stored our bags after we checked out and gave us a late check out. Can’t fault the staff, thank you for your great service. Unfortunately the rooms are extremely hot. No air flow in our initial room so struggled to sleep. Had two fans going and it didn’t help. Our fault for choosing to stay here knowing there was no air con but if you think you might struggle with the heat don’t book here. They are trying to conserve energy by not having air conditioning but running multiple fans 24/7 isn’t good either. Had a few issues with the shower not draining and toilet leaking in the first room so was very grateful they allowed us to move to a room in the Ambassador building. Would stay again in the second room but not during peak summer, it’s just too hot.

We absolutely loved the location of this quaint, quiet hotel and the staff were amazing. They allowed us to store our luggage before check in time on the first day and they even allowed us to store it after we checked out so that we could squeeze in one more hike before we left. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. The room itself was a bit on the small side, but it met our needs sufficiently. Only wished they'd had air conditioning, as there was only one tiny fan and it was hot as h*ll the night we were there!

We stayed here for 2 nights, lovely comfy bed huge room and lovely double balcony, shower was amazing lovely and powerfull, staff couldnt do enough for you, downside was breakfast not enough options, its in a lovely central location, would reconmend

Very friendly and helpful personnel. Great location within walking distance from everything. Unfortunately the fan was very noisy so we did not sleep at all. Too hot to turn it off. I had expected moore considering the rate of the room but everything is very expensive in Switzerland compared to Sweden, so I guess this hotel was not extraordinary expensive in comparison.

The hotel is located in a great location. The rooms are dated and very basic inside. High price for low quality. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is nothing special. No air-conditioning in the room and it gets hot at night. No ventilation in the bathroom. So the room feels constantly humid.
