Hotel De La Porte Saint Malo

We had a very lovely experience staying here! The room was GORGEOUS and spacious. My husband and I came with our moms and had a lovely stay. The beds were also SO SO SO comfortable! There were extra blankets and pillows provided in the room. Checkin was easy and they speak plenty of languages so if you don’t speak French they will probably speak your language! And incredible stay, free wifi, coffee and tea. Breakfast is an added €15 if you so wish. We weren’t traveling with children but this would be good for families as well. The vies from the room were also great with windows that could be opened easily and there were blackout curtains if you want to sleep deeply. Heaters in all parts of the room. Additional air con for those traveling in summer. Recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the in-room info packet. My husband and I will DEFINITELY be back ❤️

We all loved this hotel (four long time college friends)! Lovely small hotel with pleasant rooms, great location, delicious breakfast, and best of all, wonderful service and attention from Kevin, the owner. Our only regret was that we were only there for two nights as Dinan is a lovely place. Next time will stay longer and definitely stay there!

Everything was great! They politely greeted us at the reception, and helped us with our things to the room. Room was small but nice and clean. Breakfast was also really nice. Free parking was available, but with limited spaces. Great location bas well, very close to the historic centre.

The hotel was beautiful and charming with lovely outdoor areas and a cute dining room. I didn't have the breakfast, preferring to go into the city walls to enjoy fresh crepes, but often saw many diners enjoying the breakfast fare in the cozy and pleasant dining room. The rooms were also cozy, on the ground floor and tastefully appointed. The bathroom was ample with a large shower. Everyone that worked there, including the husband and wife owners, were so very sweet and accommodating, with tons of suggestions for good dining, day trips, and other ways to enjoy the village of Dinan. The hotel is situated within a 5 minute walk of the city center and the waterfront, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Dinan and visits to the surrounding areas. I would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect location. Everyone there was so welcoming and helpful. Rooms impeccable. Highly Recommend. If we come back to this area will definitely stay here. A big thank you to everyone especially to Annaelle for being so helpful.

This is the best accommodation we stayed in when we travelled around Brittany. The staff bent over backwards to help us have a lovely stay. They were warm, welcoming and just lovely people. The hotel itself is gorgeous - it's charming, clean and quiet. We all had a great night's sleep and woke up to a yummy breakfast - lots of home baked goodies and healthy options too. The atmosphere in the place is the selling point for us all. Relaxed, charming and beautiful. We'll be returning one day i'm sure. A small family run hotel that ticks all the boxes. We only stayed one night and didn't have breakfast. The room was very comfortable with a large bed and a great shower. It was only 200 meters to the town walls and a few meters more to the heart of Dinan historical dirstrict where the restaurants and bars were handily located. Although we didn't have breakfast we walked past the breakfast room and there seemed to be plenty of fresh options. The staff (they all seemed rlated!) were super friendly and efficient. I fully recommend this hotel for a visit to Dinan.

Fantastic small hotel in the heart of this medieval treasure. Every aspect is tastefully decorated; there is a lovely garden with spots to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine under the stars. Kevin welcomes each guest and provides information and assistance to assure a great visit. Convenient street parking and umbrellas as needed. Hope to return to this family-owned in and this town again.

Stayed here for two nights. Staff very friendly and helpful, they speak English too. Rooms not huge but just what you need and clean. Breakfast good with plenty of things to choose from,including some home made items like caramel! I was here on a bicycle trip; they have separate storage for your bike

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel de La Porte Saint-Malo this September. On arrival we were warmly greeted before the member of staff took hold of our suitcases and showed us to our room. Great service! The room was very reasonably priced and good value for money. Nothing fancy, but it was exactly what we needed (ie. cheap, good and close to town). The front desk was very helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants within the walled city and other information about Dinan. The location is perfect - just a stone's throw away from the center and its many restaurants and activities. I absolutely recommend the hotel's breakfast that includes croissants, bread, yoghurts, fruit and homemade jam. While I was there I was lucky enough to try the grapefruit jam (a revelation!) and a reine claude plum jam.
