Fabulous location, 2 mins walk from the Médran lift. We had a large south facing room with stunning views, decent sized bathroom (with generous bath to soothe those aching ski muscles!), fridge for a cheeky bottle of gin and beers, and the bed was very comfortable. |The highlight was the inclusive 4 course dinner. Seriously wonderful home cooked food - duck a l’orange, lamb with saffron risotto, veal escalope with mushroom sauce, awesome cheese board, crepes suzette, crème brûlée, and a decent bottle of Pinot noir around 50 CHF. They had an indoor pool, and comfortable looking lounge / sitting room. The hotel is warm, cosy, rustic and the staff very attentive. For the money, in such an expensive resort, it’s an absolute gem. Merci! James Michelsberg

This is a hotel where they do what they do well. It’s not a luxury or modern hotel and it hasn’t been fully modernised in some time. BUT, it’s well kept, the staff are great, the food is good for the price of the half board. It would be easy to not understand this Verbier gem. It’s an affordable place, comfortable beds, tidy rooms, plenty of hot water, killer location buy the Medran (with parking!!) and a reasonable breakfast. If you have a bigger south facing room, the rooms are a good size, the smaller rooms are too snug for friends.

Location is great, service and facilities just what needed. Clean and tidy rooms maybe a bit dated, but fully sufficient for a 3 star hotel. Beds were comfortable. Restaurant had excellent food every evening and the breakfast was also perfect. Parking was available for free and Hotel has heated indoor Pool. Hosts kind and very helpful. Will definitely come back!

Stayed in a group of 6 people for a long weekends skiing in Verbier.||First thing to say is that if you are looking to reduce the price of a weekend in Verbier, then Le Chable is excellent. The gondola starts in Le Chable and goes through Verbier village up Medran. ( Means it is actually quicker as you are already in the gondola and don't have to queue with ski schools etc in Verbier to get up the hill ). The last gondola lift down to Le Chable from Verbier at 7.45pm allows for plenty apres and if you miss it ( which we did one night ) the night bus down ( which is free ) seems to run till around midnight and is really efficient.||||But back to the Hotel de la Poste. I would say this is one of the rare occasions where the hotel is much better than the pictures on their website suggest. We had a twin room ( en suite ) and a 4 person room which had toilet facilities in the hall shared with another 2 rooms ( which was absolutely fine ). The 4 person room was a good size with 4 single beds. We were a group of 6 * 44 year olds.||The bar has a good feel to it and seems to one of the local drinking spots as Le Chable is not that big. We did not have dinner there but opted to eat a local pizza restaurant one night and in the pub in Verbier the other nights.||Breakfast is great. Good buffet set up.||The owner and staff are excellent. Super helpful and very engaging.||||I have skied in a lot of locations in various qualities of accommodation and would rate and recommend this hotel very highly. Especially for couples or groups of friends looking for great value for money, clean, & welcoming accommodation near to Verbier.||||I will definitely be back.

Fabulous location close to hire shops, Médran lift a short walk up the hill and some great bars minutes away. Rooms a good size, comfortable bed, although the room was a little warm so we left the balcony window open a little in the night which was perfect along with the cosy quilt and blanket.|Evening meal included which was delicious 4 course home style fayre, very tasty, although if a vegetarian you will struggle. Breakfast continental style, just right.|Good value and a heated pool with views

Just had a weeks skiing holiday in Verbier with family. Really enjoyed the hotel. As the other reviews say it is very convenient for the Medran lift and has a skiboot room. The food was home cooked style and we really liked that too. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful and go to use the surprisingly big pool too. Definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff!

A family of four, half board, skiing for a week. ||A lovely family run hotel, with really helpful & friendly staff. Good English (spoken & emails) ||Our rooms (4th floor, south facing) were a decent size, beds were comfortable (seemed new) and with good size bath / shower rooms.||Breakfast is fairly standard continental (boiled eggs, meats, cheese, juices, jams and 6 different types of bread). Dinner is a four course set menu and always very tasty.||The hotel is about 350 metres from the Medran lift and 100m from Place Centrale (pharmacy, ATM, supermarket). There was some noise from late night revellers and the snow ploughs, but only if the windows were open.||This is a 3 star hotel and I think some of the less favourable reviews may have forgotten this. Yes, the decor is fairly basic (if you want marble and fountains this really isn’t the place for you), but it is all very clean and well presented. NB. Lift only goes to 3rd floor.||Will definitely re-book when we return to Verbier.

Terrific spot for my first trip to Verbier. Right in the heart of Verbier, easy walk to the Medran lifts. Great helpful staff! This hotel is a little older and has soul and it was a pleasure to stay there. I would stay there again. It is maintained very well.
