Pretty decent hotel for a short stay (ours was just one night). Very well located for both the old town and the railway station (both of which maybe 250-300m away). Thus ideal for a short break. The downside of our room was the 4-5 flights of steps to it in the loft, though we were warned about this a good 3 weeks prior to out stay. There are no lifts that we saw in the hotel. Not ideal if you are mobility inclined. Possibly because of it being a loft room, the TV reception was pretty poor. Another downside of the loft room was that the shower was only 2 feet from the floor. Probably not the case in the other rooms. On the pus side, our room was very large though you could not fully stand everywhere in the room because of the angles of the ceilings. The staff in reception were pretty friendly and very helpful in terms of letting us know good places to eat etc. Breakfast was okay, but probably not worth the money considering the number of cafes, where we could have got equal options at a cheaper price. The place was clean and tidy and well presented with lots of historic pictures and ornaments. I would stay gain at the price charged, on the basis that the staff were nice and it was well located.

Lovely little traditional hotel in an excellent location. Price was very fait considering it's a very close distance to the main square. Staff were great as was the breakfast. Many thanks.|Room was a little dated and tired in places but it was clean and comfortable. No lift and very steep stairs. We had two rooms on the top floor and it was a bit of a hike with the bags. But they did communicate this before we went which was good and it's no more than you would expect from a historic, traditional property.

A beautiful boutique hotel retaining lots of the original features and ambience of the early twentieth century. Lovely building, spacious and clean room, fantastic staff, particularly Geraldine on reception, whose professionalism, personality and helpfulness were exceptional. Great breakfast in beautiful surroundings.||One fault - the over-engineered and faintly ridiculous "wine dispensing" contraption in the residents lounge which takes five minutes to dispense two glasses of overpriced wine - albeit at "precisely the correct temperature". Please get rid of this and we'll happily come again.

The Hôtel de l'Abeille is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Orléans. The hotel is a two-minute walk from the Gare d'Orléans and a major shopping center and a seven to ten minute walk to the museums, old town and other major attractions of Orléans. The staff reached out to me several times concerning my stay beforehand and were very efficient and friendly upon arrival. The hotel itself is within a 19th-century private residence, and the rooms are small but very appealing. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The hotel was perfect for me, but access to the rooms and the rooftop garden is limited to a staircase. This is clearly stated on the hotel website. If you love Art Nouveau, and the unique, this hotel is for you.

This hotel might be fine in the cooler months but in July it was unbearably hot. I checked out of my room one day early - it was very hot and despite mentioning this at reception I wasn’t offered a fan, the room is also on a noisy street with from both trams and people, so I had a terrible night’s sleep. Subjective feedback - for me the pillow and bed were too hard and there was only one pillow. The shower was good but for this style of hotel the toiletries weren’t great and in quite grubby holders. The room (305) was dark because the shutters were closed to try and keep it cool. I prefer other locations in Orleans.

Lovely, small hotel in great location in Orlean. We had a room on the first floor (glad we did, the staircase is a bit daunting as other reviewers have mentioned). The room was spacious with a huge closet (so suitcases were not taking up floor space), comfortable bed with nice linens, a huge bathroom. Room was very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was a perfect way to start the day and included made to order eggs (if you choose). I recommend this hotel which is adjacent to a pedestrian shopping street and close by to restaurants, the central train station and other city sights.

Fab little boutique hotel. Rooms are clean and chic (not naff unlike most places that call themselves boutique). 3 adults in 2 rooms and dog for 220 euros, Friday in April. Breakfast OK but you can do better as hotel situated bang in the middle of Orleans, literally 20 yards from start of shopping area. Parking a mare but easily available within a 5 min walk. Staff great, will visit again. Have dinner at Studio16 which is resto within 5 min walk, great place. Andy
