Hôtel de l'ocean

I love this hotel, i unfortunately booked the wrong day and arrived a week early, Amandine did everything possible to help and change it, so we had somewhere to stay. The hotel is beautiful and fantastic location. We opted for the bigger room with balcony and sea views-well worth it. Very spacious and comfortable. Amandine is worth her weight in gold, just the welcome you need after a long trip on busy roads in a storm. Thank you...

Hôtel de l'Ocean is a very nice little hotel, the staff are friendly, the rooms are adequately sized and clean. The breakfast service was impeccable (apart from the egg boiling machine!). The location is perfect, right in the middle of Biarritz on the sea-front by the old harbor. The services offered though do not match the extravagant price. I do not know how the star system works in France so I can't say if the Ocean's claimed 3 stars are justified but I did expect more for what we paid than a doorway and a stair (and an elevator) up to the rooms.

Location of hotel is fabulous, perfect for shops, bars restaurants and beaches, couldn’t be better. Rooms were small. Bathroom was tiny particularly shower cubicle. I’m only a size 10 and I couldn’t really bend down in shower to pick up my shampoo/condition. Anyone slightly large literally would not fit in the cubicle. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room There is air conditioning Balcony although small was nice to have for some outside space and view of beach was great

We very much enjoyed our week and a half at the hotel. Very close to good beaches, excellent restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a pedestrianised square so very little traffic. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The decor of the hotel was very tasteful. It was also very clean. The chilled water and pastries left in the lobby each day after breakfast were a nice touch. ||I would happily stay at this love.y hotel again

The hotel is ok, very silent, a mix of old-new hotel. Nice people receiving you but untrustable. When you book online they block teh amount on your card. When you get to the hotel, they charge you again the room and sejour tax. They say that after the checkout they will automatically unblock the first reservation amout on you card. Far from the thruth, I don'y even know it is legal to do it. After almost 1 week checkout and having paid the room, they still do not unblock the initiall reservation amout. Illegal o what?

Charming little hotel perfectly located with a beachy atmosphere .I had a room with shutters and a balcony overlooking the little square as a result of an upgrade. This balcony was just the spot for an afternoon with book and a glass of wine. At night it was possible to leave the shutters open to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.||

Superb location 5 mins walk from the beach and right in the centre.||Breakfast ok - had better for the price charged - but convenient.||Room size ok - needed more hanging / storage space.||Aircon only in kids room and didn’t really pass into main room. Also turned off every couple of hours and it was hot. ||V noisy outside - woken up every night. Courtyard room.

The best location, top service, room was super clean, great shower, great bed. I should give 4 stars because it was very noisy coming from the cleaning team in the morning, after 10-11, but everyone was so kind I’ll give it 5. But I leave the suggestion to try to make less noise in the morning. Totally recommended tho

Perfect setting for the perfect holiday. Attentive, friendly staff, comfortable clean accommodations, including safe indoor parking. And let's not forget the seaside charm of Biarritz, France.
