Great location - few minutes walk into the old town and outside of the Carcassonne castle. Friendly staff, small but clean rooms. No elevator was a bit challenge for old family members. The wine selection in the bar were limited and there were so so, so it might be better to go to the town to get wine if you want a drink.

We rented two rooms at Hôtel L'Octroi, and everyone enjoyed the stay. Small hotels often provide the best experiences, and this one was no exception.||From the friendly staff to the nicely set breakfast and vibrant pop art decor, there was nothing to complain about. The location is also very convenient, with parking just a few meters from the entrance.||On our checkout day, while waiting for our friends to return from Avignon, the attendant graciously invited us to relax in the lobby. When we offered to pay for our coffee, she surprised us by saying it was on the house!||I’ll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Carcassonne.

Awarded 4 stars simply for the fabulous location, just a short two minute walk up the hill to the most amazing castle, worthy of a Disney set.|The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, if not a little over priced. (€15 for a continental breakfast). The small heated outdoor pool, was a nice touch after a day of sightseeing. |The rooms were clean with quirky decor, although they were vety small. My room had no wardrobe and no real space to add one. The only storage was a drawer in the bathroom. The bath was tiny, with a temperamental overhead shower. |There were also areas in the bedroom where wallpaper was peeling. |Not the best hotel that I've ever stayed in but if you're looking for location than this hotel is the one!

Perfectly adequate accommodation with friendly staff and in a location 5-10 minutes from the medieval city (uphill) and 10-15 minutes to the centre (downhill). Rooms are small but clean, although our room was very dark with little natural light. Lots of the hotel is a very bright orange! Did dip our feet into the pool which has jacuzzi jets. Overall a good experience.

I booked this hotel for 1 night with my 15 year old daughter. I booked a large double. It was clean and nicely decorated. We did have an issue with the sliding bathroom door, but as we were only there for 1 night, it wasn't a big issue. |There was a pool, but I think it was closed.|The staff on the front desk were friendly. |It was a very good price via the hotel directly and was so close to the city walls, so location wise, it was excellent.|I would stay again.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel could not be better-placed for a visit to the Cite. Clean rooms, cosy beds, and nice bar and it has a small swimming pool with a lovely sunny patio. One minor drawback is that your room may overlook the main road leading to some road noise.

A perfect little hotel, situated in a perfect location a few minutes walk to the medieval cite up a small hill.|Hotel is very clean, rooms small but clean and comfortable.|The staff are all very pleasant and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel is nicely located near the enclosed city of Carcassonne - parking is in a secure and closed spot across the street from the hotel; The reception was small, but we were greeted with a nice smile. Our room was small, but sufficient for the night (we did make a reservation. Including the nice breakfast, with taxes the bill came to almost 160 euros. |There is a small pool and we did not swim, but at least we lounged around the pool area. Overall it was also very clean.
