After reading many other reviews, we decided to stay at the Hotel de Londres Eiffel - this turned out to be a fantastic decision! Since there are so many other reviews, I will try to add our experience with the hope of helping someone else.||About the neighborhood - while we knew the hotel is located near the Eiffel Tower, and read that this is a charming area, we underestimated how much we would love the surrounding blocks. Close to the Metro and Bus lines, around the corner from the Rue Cler, and with many excellent dining options within a short walk, we couldn't have been happier with this neighborhood - especially when comparing it to the other popular hotel districts we might have otherwise chosen. This is a neighborhood where Parisians walk home from work, go to the market, and eat at the cafe around the corner.||After researching restaurants, we were concerned about being able to reserve a table at desirable spots in Paris. We were so pleasantly surprised to find at least 10 excellent places to enjoy lunch, dinner, or coffee. Never a need to reserve, and usually space outside if we wanted it. Each meal was excellent in its own way and we didn't have to spend big city money unless we wanted to.||Besides these great options, the hotel provides an excellent list of dining choices (along with suggestions for enjoying Paris) that guarantees a superb dining experience that should fit into any visitor's itinerary.||About the hotel - we stayed for 9 nights. The longer we stayed, the more we appreciated every aspect of this hotel, its staff, and the thoughtful care and effort that shows in the design, decor, and atmosphere. We stayed in the Pavilion - for our room, this required using a spiral staircase to reach our floor. We knew this ahead of time - we're not fans of elevators - so we loved it. I should mention, however, that the main part of the hotel does have an elevator.||We loved our room! It is good sized (for Europe). It was extremely quiet. This goes to the thoughtful renovation techniques used to maintain such a classic building. While the windows look traditional, they are extra thick, and double glazed, so when they are closed the room is silent. The air conditioning is central - not a window unit - so while it cools the room to an ideal temperature, you can barely tell if it's running or not due to the careful design, and high-quality components of this nearly silent system. The linens, bedding, and toiletries are all of the highest caliber - way beyond what we would have expected. ||We had breakfast each morning at the hotel too. We loved it. Croissants, yogurt, eggs, amazing cheeses, juice, granola - this is just a partial list. All items sourced locally. I don't mean locally from France - I mean locally, as in from the surrounding blocks of this neighborhood. We never wanted for more or better. It was a perfect way to start our day!||Finally, none of this works without an outstanding staff to keep things running. From the moment we reserved our rooms (we reserved directly from the hotel website) until we departed, Richard, Adrien, and Arnoud, were there for any need that we might have, while knowing how to keep their distance so we could enjoy ourselves as though they weren't there.||These three gentlemen, along with the housekeeping staff and the night crew, all shared three obvious characteristics. They love their city, they love their hotel, and they love sharing their love for both with their guests. Thank you Hotel de Londres Eiffel!
