This hotel is good, but best for one or two nights. The location can't be beat if you want to be in the center of San Lorenzo as it's right on the main plaza. We had a superior room with a tub and it was nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. It's also surprisingly quiet for the location, with high quality windows that block out sound. The lady who was at the desk during reception hours was very friendly. Some things to be aware of: There is no hotel parking (even though Booking says there is) and the public garage is over €30 per night. It's possible to walk for a ways and park in the white zone, but the incline to get there is very steep. The hotel has no services and there is no 24 hour reception. There is no food, no coffee, etc. Our room had one packet of instant coffee in it. A room of this price should have a coffee maker or at least a communal coffee maker in the building. There is a mini bar fridge, but it's tiny and really only good for drinks. The jacuzzi tubs in the median range rooms are tiny. They are very narrow and will only fit one small/average size person. I wouldn't pay more for this room type. If I return, I will get the least expensive room. There is an incredibly annoying light that flashes from the sprinkler on the ceiling and is jarring if you lay in bed with your eyes open. Not romantic. 😂 I'm not sure if this is the case in every room, but it's unpleasant.

The staff was lovely, super accomodating and friendly. On check in Alba offered an upgrade for extra €10 and she took the time to show us the rooms to make our mind. ||We ended up taking the suite (at special price too) with a huge bath/spa in the middle of the room.||As the hotel wasn't full she also allowed us to check out 30mins later than the normal time.||Sara and Jose were also very kind and they couldn't do enough to make our stay great an special.||We will definitely go back to this place.||Ah!, I forgot to say that it was our anniversary and the staff made it happen for us. Thank you!!

Just a heads-up for cyclists: you are allowed to bring your bicycle into the hotel, but only if you book a premium room (also when you're alone with just 1 bike). I chose another hotel because of this policy, so if you want to know what the hotel is like: check other reviews.

A cosy small hotel that has been recently renovated. It offers quite spacious and comfortable rooms. Most rooms offer excellent views overlooking San Lorenzo's main square. The rooms have a designer's touch while the bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. Overall I had a very pleasant stay and this is clearly my favourite hotel in this small town. The minus is that there are no proper common rooms apart from a small lounge by the lift in each floor. The reception is open only limited hours.

The room was lovely and it had a big bath with shower. It was quiet and even had bathrobes which was nice. The staff was nice but no one is on duty at the desk before 9:00am. We had an early train and though they called for a taxi the night before, there was no way to get a wakeup call. Therefore had to leave my phone on all night in order to make sure we got ready to leave in time. They should put in a phone system to accommodate this need.

First trip to Spain, first night I spent at Hotel de Martin. I was tired and off a bit with jet lag. I felt welcomed and experienced patience while I registered. The hotel is clean. A restaurant is attached which is quite good. Each room has a theme, and each has some kind of bath tub water jet system. A simple shower would do, but the price was right. Location is great for touring the Monastery.

Yes, the lobby was tiny, but the rooms were modern and spacious. The hospitality was wonderful and so was the wifi. It was easy to find parking nearby and the sites of this Madrid suburb were right outside your door. For the price and convenient amenities this hotel was perfect.

Beautiful view from room. Bath robes with holes in, shower drain blocked flooding the bathroom when used and general run down condition in the room were disappointing. Issues could not be resolved to any degree by the staff although they were very polite and friendly. Being a jacuzzi room we made do without the shower and had a pleasant stay.
