Utterly mad and charming little hotel tucked away in a quiet backstreet of a great Parisian neighbourhood. The hotel is run by a couple who seemed very happy with our attempt at pidgin French for communication, and were very patient!
The rooms are indivdually and quirkily styled and priced in a sliding scale depending on how much space you want and whether you're happy to share a bathroom etc. We were quite taken by a lovely African/safari themed room, but instead opted for the cosier and cheaper room up an extra flight of steep stairs, which had a rustic, country theme cue dried flowers hanging from beams. It was really well heated and incredibly comfortable, although the bathroom could have done with a bit of sprucing up.
There is no breakfast on offer here, but in Paris you really don't need it. Nearby was great for exploring St Germain and all along the Seine, where restaurants and shops are plentiful.
With Paris being generally very expensive, I'd recommend this modest hotel as a great place to stop if you're on a limited budget, and want to spend the majority of your cash on good nights out.
