Quirky and quaint. If historic, close to sights, and not like home, then this is fun! We love the balcony with two large windows overlooking the street and square. About the size of an ocean cabin, with no shelves for storage, but we left everything in our suitcases on the floor. Tiny, but adequate en suite. Hot pot for water in the room. No refrigerator or ice. We enjoyed proximity to Notre Dame, metro, Carnavalet museum, and ease to take the metro to the Eiffel Tower. Jacques Andres mansion/museum took about one hour for the audio tour and was a lovely place. Overall, if you can manage some stairs, this is a great place to stay.

I’ve stayed here +10 times over a decade. It’s changed. Music from the street performers in the square below my window BLASTING from 8pm to 11pm (not their fault). Vulgar r&b + MJ’s Thiller (twice), that matters. I was in room 4, facing the square on the north. I politely asked to change rooms and caught some attitude from the desk. I changed hotels the next day because I couldn’t get any rest there. I had to pay for the lost night because of the cancellation policy. These are hospitality basics. Good location, though.

We just returned home after a ten night stay and all I can say is that this is a fantastic and delightful hotel. It is a true value in the heart of the Marais. Close to everything we wanted to see, including Notre Dame, an easy walk. Our room overlooked the charming bustling courtyard. The staff were just lovely! Although we did not take the breakfast we saw it presented so prettily. Everyone mentions the decor: it’s truly adorable. The elevator worked fine and the shower in our room no.15 ( a twin room) was large and excellent. An unadvertised bonus was a hot -water appliance to make tea, with teabags and cups provided. The room was small so no room for a comfy chair but there were two small chairs and a table. It’s not fancy but it fit the bill. It felt like real Paris.

We only had an overnight stay in Paris and I'm really glad we chose this hotel for our stay. The hosts were lovely and helpful. Our room was charming, as was the common room in the hotel. The location was excellent, within walking distance to every place we wanted to go. I love street markets and because our stay was so short I thought I wouldn't be able to go to one and was thrilled to find there is one right across the stree from the hotel. I'm already planning our next stay there!

Brilliant location . 5 mins walk to metro line 1. Loads of restraints and bars literally on the door strip . Hotel staff very friendly . Very clean . Not dusty . Comfy beds . Beautiful French window opening into small balcony . Lift to all floors .

My wife and I spent eight nights at Hotel de Nice at Christmas time in 2024. Our experience was completely pleasant. The staff was very accommodating, the room was clean and amply sized and there was plenty of hot water. I would most certainly stay there again, as it is a very good value for the price and the location is very very good.

The hotel is very centrally located almost opposite the Hotel de Ville on Rue de Rivoli at the front corner of a small square and about 200m from the Metro and the BHV department store. There are at least 10 restaurants within about 150m of the hotel.|The staff were welcoming and spoke English (if you need help with luggage there is a lift staff can access from the ground floor to reception on the first floor) NB this lift is not normally available, so you do need to be able to climb one flight of stairs, then a lift is available to all other floors. I would not consider it wheelchair/mobility friendly. We liked the room which is an average size for Europe and had a good size wardrobe. It was always heated when it was cold and the radiators are supplemented with heating/cooling air-conditioning (in our room). The bed was comfortable (with sheets and blankets) and at least queen size. The shower was very compact but easy to use and the shower, basin and toilet all reasonably new. Housekeeping was good and as the pictures show the decoration was very French. The central location near many museums, and other interesting locations was very convenient. There are a couple of small supermarkets close by.

Google
A five star experience for a 3 star hotel. Hotel De Nice was better than expected. Interesting decor, proximity to everywhere and kind helpful hosts. Secure. Our room was striking in its maximillism and colour. The lift was possibly the smallest I have ever used. All contributing to the best stay 8 have ever had in Paris.

Yelp
This hotel was the pits. The rooms were tiny and bed was uncomfortable . You can hear everything through the walls- and by everything I mean everything. Location was good but that was the only positive I can add. Desk staff was rude and not helpful. On check in she waved us off with a dismissive hand gesture while wolfing down a sandwich. Next morning We asked her to call for a cab and she let it ring twice then said There are no cabs. Shower is tiny. Only a half roll of toilet paper. And for those who said it was inexpensive I must have been ripped off because we paid quite a bit for this disappointing stay. Go elsewhere. And I forgot. The bar underneath was loud until 3:00 am and the blow dryer did not work.

Yelp
This hotel is such a cool find, in the Marais- an awesome trendy district in Paris. You'll be on the main road where you can catch the metro, and within walking distance of the allure of Le Marais- dining, shopping, walking along the river. The hotel itself is really old school and dated. If you're into funky and eclectic and don't mind small spaces, this place is not only budget friendly, but has a great location and good views if you're on the top floor. I was traveling alone for this part of my trip, and stayed in a single room with a twin bed. I've never come across a twin bed option in a hotel during my travels, but the price was great (on booking.com) so I tried it out! It was the equivalent of an attic room, and I had a great view of the on goings in the courtyard below. See pictures to understand what I mean about funky and eclectic. The decor is really fun. They make you give them your room key before you leave the hotel for any amount of time. I was put off by this at first bc of security concerns, but honestly I can see why they do it. I'm sure many people lose the keys, and they're quite old. Idk- I'm very easy going and I don't pack anything valuable anyway, so it's all good! Didn't have breakfast here, which is an additional charge...bc there are bakeries with croissants at every turn! I'll stay here again when I return!

Yelp
Really nice atmosphere the hotels have been we done and the area is close to the metro real close to Notre Dame the people in staff are very friendly easy to get around walking for dinner lunch or breakfast I would recommend and stay here again the rooms are small and cozy but you don't spend a lot of time in the room definite yes.

Yelp
We stayed for 10 great days in the lovely, colorful Hotel de Nice in July. The hotel is perfectly located in the Marais district, with wonderful walking tours, delicious food, and easy access by Metro, Uber and bus to other desirable areas in the city. Hotel de Nice was clean, quiet and comfortable. Its large windows and air conditioning meant we slept easily; when the double-paned windows were shut, the noise from outside was blocked. While the modern bathroom we had was small, it suited us fine with excellent water pressure and temperature. The hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and even anticipated our needs. If you want a featureless American-type box then go elsewhere, but if you love charm along with your comfort Hotel de Nice is the best! I will come back anytime I am in Paris.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay here of three nights. The elevator didn't work so we had to walk up the stairs that had numerous large holes in the carpet. There was only one working AC unit in the reception hall but lucky for us we could take a summer cold shower and open the windows out onto the street. The rooms very very small and cozy. The workers at the desk were very friendly.
