Hôtel De Nice

Loved this place! It was excellently located just a stone's-throw from two metro stations, Notre Dame cathedral, and it's right on the edge of Le Marais. The rooms are wonderfully quirky and just like the photos. Ours was a corner room with a balcony and lovely views over Rivoli and a market square plus the restaurants too. Very Parisian indeed. We LOVED the maximalist decoration. The bathroom had clearly JUST been renovated so obviously, it was spotless. A small but noticeable negative that will inevitably pass very soon was that there was a really strong smell of paint, though. It wasn't problematical but, in the sake of an honest review, it was there. Bed much comfier than you'd hope for in this price bracket. It was a bit of a fiddle to use the kettle as the flex was quite short and the table it is on is quite high so trying to make a drink was a bit awkward. (Only a bit) The real stars of this place, though, are the staff members. They were, each and every one of the four people we met at reception, simply wonderful. We LOVED Marie and the night porter was the sweetest man you could ever hope to meet but genuinely, EVERYONE was excellent. Not the flashiest boutique hotel, first impression is, perhaps, a little shabby when you enter from the street as it's squashed between a restaurant and a shop but the charm of the place really is fantastic. I don't think we'll consider going anywhere else in Paris for this price range. It's so lovely.

The hotel has an amazing location — quiet, peaceful, and very comfortable. If you’re looking for luxury or ultra-high-end comfort, this might not be the right place for you. But if you want to stay in the heart of Paris, be able to reach everywhere easily, and experience living in a classic old Parisian building, then this is absolutely the perfect choice. I would especially recommend it for first-time visitors who want to truly feel the spirit of the city.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel over the weekend. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from notre dame. The neighbourhood feels safe and has lots of charming cafes and vintage stores. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were exceptionally clean. Small, but that is normal for Paris. The decor is dreamy! We had no problems with noise and slept very well. We were excited to come back, but we were fined 70eur by a group of extremely aggressive and angry RATP inspectors, even though we had a valid metro ticket. Because of this we will not return to Paris.

Can't really fault it, the location could hardly be better, it's in a great area of Paris with interesting shops, the Louvre, Tuileries, Notre Dame and many other well known spots are all within easy walking distance. The restaurant below the hotel is very good and opens early and closes late, and the small cafe across the square is perfect for breakfast, as are the nearby boulangerie and bagel shop. Our double bed could have been a bit bigger, as could the shower cubicle, but that's a minor critique and doesn't warrant docking a star!

Always an absolute pleasure to stay in this little Parisien gem. Very clean and cosy. Very French interior. Perfect location within Le Marais, 2 mins from metro, 5 mins from ille St Louis. Extremely friendly staff. We have stayed here many times and can't wait for next year! (Hopefully chambre 25) Merci beaucoup x

Loved our stay here. Terrific location in the Marais. Crisp, clean room. Very friendly and helpful team. An elevator for your luggage. Ask for Room 1. It was comfy and had a nice balcony for people watching.

Stayed here for 1 night, 10 minutes walk from the location I was working at so very convenient. Well placed in the centre loads of places to eat locally. Room was nice and clean, shower bit small but does the job. Have to get used to the decor. Staff helpful asked about an umbrella as rainy outside happily hand one for me to use I asked if they wanted a deposit they said no worries.

Started with a very warm friendly welcome by the front desk concierge who was so welcoming and immediately made me feel at home . The hotel room was lovely , nice view from floor 4 . I loved the vintage decor but modern appliances. Great location . Great housekeeping staff . Would highly recommend

This hotel was the pits. The rooms were tiny and bed was uncomfortable . You can hear everything through the walls- and by everything I mean everything. Location was good but that was the only positive I can add. Desk staff was rude and not helpful. On check in she waved us off with a dismissive hand gesture while wolfing down a sandwich. Next morning We asked her to call for a cab and she let it ring twice then said There are no cabs. Shower is tiny. Only a half roll of toilet paper. And for those who said it was inexpensive I must have been ripped off because we paid quite a bit for this disappointing stay. Go elsewhere. And I forgot. The bar underneath was loud until 3:00 am and the blow dryer did not work.

This hotel is such a cool find, in the Marais- an awesome trendy district in Paris. You'll be on the main road where you can catch the metro, and within walking distance of the allure of Le Marais- dining, shopping, walking along the river. The hotel itself is really old school and dated. If you're into funky and eclectic and don't mind small spaces, this place is not only budget friendly, but has a great location and good views if you're on the top floor. I was traveling alone for this part of my trip, and stayed in a single room with a twin bed. I've never come across a twin bed option in a hotel during my travels, but the price was great (on booking.com) so I tried it out! It was the equivalent of an attic room, and I had a great view of the on goings in the courtyard below. See pictures to understand what I mean about funky and eclectic. The decor is really fun. They make you give them your room key before you leave the hotel for any amount of time. I was put off by this at first bc of security concerns, but honestly I can see why they do it. I'm sure many people lose the keys, and they're quite old. Idk- I'm very easy going and I don't pack anything valuable anyway, so it's all good! Didn't have breakfast here, which is an additional charge...bc there are bakeries with croissants at every turn! I'll stay here again when I return!

Really nice atmosphere the hotels have been we done and the area is close to the metro real close to Notre Dame the people in staff are very friendly easy to get around walking for dinner lunch or breakfast I would recommend and stay here again the rooms are small and cozy but you don't spend a lot of time in the room definite yes.

We stayed for 10 great days in the lovely, colorful Hotel de Nice in July. The hotel is perfectly located in the Marais district, with wonderful walking tours, delicious food, and easy access by Metro, Uber and bus to other desirable areas in the city. Hotel de Nice was clean, quiet and comfortable. Its large windows and air conditioning meant we slept easily; when the double-paned windows were shut, the noise from outside was blocked. While the modern bathroom we had was small, it suited us fine with excellent water pressure and temperature. The hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and even anticipated our needs. If you want a featureless American-type box then go elsewhere, but if you love charm along with your comfort Hotel de Nice is the best! I will come back anytime I am in Paris.

I enjoyed my stay here of three nights. The elevator didn't work so we had to walk up the stairs that had numerous large holes in the carpet. There was only one working AC unit in the reception hall but lucky for us we could take a summer cold shower and open the windows out onto the street. The rooms very very small and cozy. The workers at the desk were very friendly.
