Nicely presented hotel very well located for walking around the town center. We actually parked overnight in a nearby shopping center (underground) that was much cheaper than the hotel's quoted parking rate. Room was comfortable and larger than expected but lacking tea and coffee making as advertised. When I mentioned this staff offered us a kettle which did the job, so thanks to them.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city and has a private parking. Breakfast is nice and the lady overlooking the restaurant is very nice. The room was poorly lit and there was an awful smell from the drain in the bathroom. Stayed there for four nights without any sight of housekeeping.

Loved this place in the centre of Besancon. Private parking which is gated. It did cost 20 euros but were happy with that as we left our car there while we explored the town. Breakfast provided at extra cost but no evening restaurant. Loads of places close by to eat though. Our room was enormous and we also had dressing gowns and slippers provided. The bed was also huge. We only stayed one night on our way through but will return for a longer stay.

Dark and gloomy accommodation, no bar and the air conditioning did not work it was blowing out warm air , we complained about this and they said it was because it was so hot??? Surely the point of air con is to get the room cooler when it is hot ??? They also have charged us twice for the room and as it stands after 1 email and a phone call still no refund !! We paid extra for the facilities here as it was very hot but we could have easily booked a room for half the price and had a much nicer sleep and a more relaxing stay. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in the middle of the city and price is good but there's 0 sound insulation. Could hear people walking in the hallway talking (not loudly, just normal voice) at midnight and the people above us making sounds during adult activities at 5am. You could even hear them talking. Worst sleep ever and cannot recommend. Booked the hotel due to the great reviews which was obviously a bad idea.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 days in early November 2023. The hotel does not provide irons or ironing boards. It does not have an ironing room. This is very inconvenient for travelers needing an iron. I tried breakfast once and for 15 Euros not a very good value at all. Room was clean but small.

Very nice Hotel in the Centre of Besançon. A bit tricky to find but the hotel sends you fool proof instructions. It has its private secured parking area which is very convenient. The beautiful courtyard invites you to relax and enjoy a drink. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room decor is different to your run of the mill decor. They have old world charm I would say but it is a matter of taste. The receptionist kindly made a dinner reservation for us which turned out to be good. We didn’t have breakfast next day but noticed that it looked good and plenty. Step out of the hotel and you are bang in the middle of the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to look around the city and enjoy all what it has to offer. Due to heavy traffic we arrived at the hotel much later than planned but will definitely visit Besançon again to enjoy all what it has to offer and choose hotel de Paris again.

Good location in central Besancon. Easy walking distance to variety of restaurants and attractions - la citadelle, porte noire (and other Roman artifacts), maison natale de Victor Hugo, the horloge astronomique (not worth the visit as it hasn't and won't be working for a long time), Place Castor, walks along the river, etc. Small continental breakfast. Limited parking in the rear of the hotel (make sure you book ahead). Tight access to parking (so have a small car) and hard to find entrance around the corner from the hotel entrance. Nice view over the rooftops of the city.
