This is a great hotel right in the city. The staff are welcoming and helpful and I really want to make a special mention about Jonathan who posted me some of my belongings which I left behind at the hotel. He really went above and beyond to help me.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I cannot insist enough how PERFECT the location of this hotel is! Also the staff are very welcoming and it is a family run business so you somehow feel the coziness of the place. While i stayed for 3 nights in a single room and the other 3 nights in a double room, i advise you take the double room if you’re staying for a week like I did because the single room can be a little narrow and small for a longer stay. Merci pour votre acceuil! ♥️

Traditional hotel in a superb spot. Spacious rooms, a bit old-fashioned furnished. Noisy hallways.🤔

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel de Paris in early August and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a trendy and convenient area, just a short walk from coffee shops, restaurants, the metro, and shopping. The staff was warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with our questions about the city and transportation. We really appreciated the spacious room, and the air conditioning was a blessing with temperatures soaring above 30°C. We highly recommend this hotel—great value for the money and an unbeatable location.

The rooms are ok but VERY noisy. We've only slept for 3 hours because we could literally hear our neighbour's telephone call and the chairs of our upstairs neighbours at 6am. We only got a small and a large towel for two adults. No extra towel to dry your hands, so I ended up using my small towel for both my hands and to dry myself off after showering. The location is good but that's about it. Wouldn't come back or recommend.

Great location for sightseeing! This hotel is in a fantastic spot for exploring the city, with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shopping areas. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only surprise was the lack of a phone in the room, which made contacting reception a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a good stay, but the missing phone is something to consider.

The location is great but that is where the positive aspects of this hotel end. €300 for the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was small and not well equipped the bed was shorter than normal the lift doors get jammed don’t bother with breakfast (go to the nearby cafe) need I go on …

I was quite disappointed with the rude customer service at this hotel. When I asked if I could use the restroom, the receptionist (young, female, blonde) responded with a curt “no, sorry” and did not offer any further explanation or assistance. This unwelcoming attitude was quite off-putting. Despite staying nearby, I will be reconsidering this hotel for future visits to Lyon. For a more positive experience, I recommend the Grand Hotel down the street, which provided exemplary service and accommodated my request without hesitation. This is how customer service should be handled. You never know who your next customer might be.

Yelp
I am writing this at midnight of my second and last night at this hotel. If you are visiting when the weather is warm, be prepared to stay out until the bars close or be OK trying to sleep without A/C. It does not function, and opening the windows doesn't help unless you can sleep through the noise from the multiple bars nearby. If you want to party, go ahead. But if you like to sleep, go elsewhere.

Yelp
Charm and Location If you want to experience the best of Lyon you must consider the lovely and charming Hôtel de Paris. What really makes this hotel special is the people that work at this hotel. They make every effort to ensure your comfort and enjoyment....to the maximum! I have stayed at this hotel many weeks.....and everyone is an experience to remember. Walk out the front door of the Hotel De Paris and you are in the centre of Lyon's most interesting area with an infinite abundance of fine restraunts, shopping and cultural museums.....etc. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and you will immediately feel at home. Yelp
Great find!. We arrived at about noon on a Sunday and were warmly greeted, our room was not yet ready (as we had guessed), but the friendly guy at the reception simply had us store our bags in the lobby, told us that parking was free on Sunday so off we went to explore. We got back to our room at 2h30 and were sent up to the fourth floor, which had a street view and even an outdoor Juliet balcony. The room was large by European standards, and very neat, the bed and linens are really comfortable and the room was quiet. It is important to note we got here on the 2 quietest nights (Sunday and Monday) in October, so perhaps the street rooms may be nosier at other times, but for us it was perfect. The hotel décor is different and boast a more modern/industrial, look with varying colors, but it felt cozy. The staff has been helpful and friendly, and we are quite pleased with our find at 100E a night (found online at booking.com), including breakfast. We would return and recommend without hesitation.
