On a tour from Toulouse to Montpellier and opted to stay in Sete for a day and one night. Hotel was in an ideal location and parking attached to the hotel available at a cheaper rate than public car parks. Bar and Wellness in hotel appeared closed - but with some much on offer nearby this did not matter. Reception staff were friendly and an unrequsted room upgrade was a nice touch.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely with a view of the canal. (Great soundproofing though!) ||The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Only downside for us was that the wifi was down during our stay.

The location is perfect, handy to the canal , the market and a great selection of restaurants. The welcome was warm and the staff were always happy to help. The bar was a comfortable place to enjoy a cocktail. The room was comfortable, but there's a proviso... there was no bathroom as such. The shower cubicle is large and easy to use. However, the sink, vanity etc are open to the room. OK for a single, but even Romeo & Juliet would need a little privacy occasionally! The toilet was fine, if a little narrow.

Some reviews are a bit down on this place. We dont understand why as the rooms were fantastically comfortable and the staff very polite. We noticed some of the famous imperfections in the paintwork but couldnt care less when the bed is the best we have enjoyed in our vacation. A great choice when visiting Sete.

Neither the air condition or WiFi worked during our stay although it said so on the website. It was impossible to sleep because of the temperature.

A well placed hotel if you want to be in town, but the whole place is depressing and grotty. The lighting is terrible whether in the lobby, the bar area or the room. Everything is gloomy and sad. The corridors floors are all lop sided, the lift is filthy. The rooms are clean as such, expect for the walls which are caked with finger marks and rub marks. We had rooms 112 and 114, the lighting was terrible, and the whole room felt past it, grotty, gruby and we basically cuold not wait to get away from the place. Searching for breakfast in half darkness was a mission, either they are saving on lights or they think that this type of lighting hides the grim reality of a hotel that needs a complete refit. I am just glad we didn't have to stay more than one night!

Perfect location in the city center, not too far from the Cimetière marin and Paul Valéry museum by foot.
