We were travelling to Spain on november 2. Our car got a mayor mechanical problem, so we got towed of the Route du Soleil and needed a place to stay in Setes. We found this hotel which had room and we booked 2. Stayed the night there and started calling garages in the city to fix our car. Luckily there was a really nice female receptionist who helped us with the language because my French isnt to good. We couldnt find a garage who had time, so she called her boss to ask if he had any ideas. What then happened really surprised us. She was forbidden to help us any further. So a guest with a problem you are forbidden to help. We decided to walk to the local dealer and finally they agreed to help us. Before leaving the hotel for the walk, we explained to the receptionist we didnt know if we would leave that day or needed to stay another day. That was no problem, we could leave the luggage at the room and decide what to do when we came back. After coming back from the garage it was 11:55 AM, we told her we got help and could leave. She answered we had 5 minutes to leave the room and then it was just one night. Since we had packed already that was no problem. We got the luggage from the rooms and got at the reception before 12:00. In the minutes we were upstairs, her boss called and told her to credit a second night from our creditcard. No discussion possible. So we already had a terrible voyage, got really high towing costs and repair costs and now had to pay for a night we didn't stay.
We travel a lot, but never had an experience like this. Hotel de Paris only want to cash in easy. Personnel is great, boss is a thief. Condition of the rooms is also not so good, dirty sheets, floors and showers. Would really not go here!
