Hotel de Prati

I spent a night in this beautiful and small hotel. The hosts are very friendly. The room was clean, comfortably furnished, and very quiet. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. There was a large selection of fresh pastries, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and much more. The hotel is located near to the water castle Castello Estense.

We couldn’t fault the Hotel de Prati. Super location, easy access, a cozy, comfortable room, amazing breakfast and wonderful staff. It isn’t the kind of hotel you should stay at, if you require facilities such as a gym, sauna or pool (we certainly don’t). Without sounding too elitist it’s more suited to the tourist/traveller who visits the beautiful Renaissance city of Ferrara for the art and architecture - not cocktails by the pool. Speaking of art and architecture, the lovely lady in reception gave us the best tips we have ever had - especially regarding the monastery of Sant’Antonio in Polesine. The music of the Benedictine nuns, as well as the beautiful frescoes, was the highlight of our trip. Big thank you. ||In my opinion, you should stay nowhere else if you value convenience and quality, with genuine warmth and welcome.

Hotel de Prati is a jewel. I love everything. From the moment you enter you feel the good taste and the familiar and professional atmosphere. You feel at home here. The breakfast is to die for. Everything with such an attention to detail. Love love love and will definitely come back. Dogs are welcome and it was great for our dog too.

This is a wonderful hotel. We chose an apartment accommodation in annex very close to the main hotel building. It was huge and beautifully designed with a lower level area for bedroom, and many windows and skylight for fresh air and light. Kitchenette was well-equipped. Perfect location in historic center of Ferrara. Breakfast in the charming hotel dining room was included, and it was a nice buffet with many options and delicious pastries. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Price was very reasonable for this whole experience. I loved this hotel!

I am very happy to share that we have had a wonderful stay at Hotel de Prati. Emails were responded to very quickly and requests were seen to and confirmed. We arrived and were able to check in early. Our room was charming, bathroom with bidet. Netflix and YouTube is available on the television should you require. Rooms were cleaned daily. Everyone was very helpful with recommendations, booking of restaurants and transportation. Breakfast was very good the spread consisted of good Italian coffee made to order, croissants, bread, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and cold cuts. I highly recommend Hotel de Prati.

This is a lovely hotel close to all the main sights in Ferrara. The room was very clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend this hotel!

A small hotel in the inner part of Ferrara, the Hotel de Prati was the best stay of my recent trip to Emilia Romagna. From the start, I was impressed with the proprietors attention to detail in design, quality of furnishings, cleanliness, and guidance on parking (a public lot that was about a 5 minute walk away). The room was a good size by European standards, and the private bathroom was complete with all facilities. Later, I received some good recommendations on where to eat. The breakfast on offer contained a full assortment of staples, cakes, juices, and cereals. My coffee Americano was first class. Overall, there was a sense of both professionalism and courtesy that is hard to find!

Nice quiet location, but close to everything. Owners and staff were friendly and professional. Our room was spotless and comfortable. We had the suite with a roof top patio, spent the evenings watching the sun going down and the swifts flying. If we are in Ferrara again, we will definitely stay here.

Excellent location and fair pricing. Nice breakfast... We like Ferrara and we will go back
