Where to Stay in Paris (Updated 2025)

"I found this budget hotel to offer excellent value—located just two minutes from the metro, not far from the Louvre, it includes a continental breakfast and has clean, spacious rooms with super friendly staff." - Matthew Kepnes

Great hotel in central Paris! Stayed 2 nights. Extremely quirky and charming, with some incredible decor (including a carpeted ceiling??) and two gorgeous bichon frizee pups in reception. Excellent breakfast. Staff very warm, attentive and welcoming. Stayed for business but would definitely return for leisure. Highly recommended

Best hotel in Paris! Great great staff. They were very accommodating. The rooms were also clean and modern. We requested extra pillows and they were already ready. We managed to also check in early. And the location is also great! We rarely used the metro since it is close to many landmarks including the Gare du Nord station.

Nice hotel, great location. The rooms were clean but small, we knew that going in. We use hotel rooms to sleep and shower, other than that, we are out and about exploring. Less than 5min walk to the 3 and 4 Metro. They had 2 poodles that stayed at the base of the stairs so my daughter loved petting them on our way in and out. My only complaint about the hotel (and there's nothing that the hotel can do about it) is that it is right across the street from Madame Prevenche a cocktail bar that's open until 2am and had people hooting and hollering until 2am. We had to have the window open for the temperature to be comfortable, so I had trouble falling asleep with the noise. If you can sleep with earplugs, you'd be fine.

6 stars for this place 😍 had an amazing time - best location, comfortable bed, boutique hotel but runs like a 5 star to impeccable standards. It’s also pretty fun, and had themed room and spaces. It’s so cool, set in such a chic La Marais area. Wistful vibes, with a piano downstairs to play. I enjoyed myself tremendously and will be back xx

Stunning gem of a hotel that stands out in Paris, the management is incredibly helpful and welcoming, in our case welcoming us with a later check in (close to midnight) following a long train journey from Rome to Paris for a one-night stay. The hotel, room, management experience and incredible breakfast self service room made us wish we were staying there for longer - just to spend more time in the hotel itself. It has a beautiful lounge area for reading, and generally is a very positive space to be staying in. Clean, artistic, thoughtful design with everything you could need. Neatly designed rooms, spotless and modern with vintage decor. Nothing was too much trouble and left luggage after check out is offered and easy / secure - this was really helpful as we were visiting the Louvre museum (15 mins walk away) before Eurostar home. Fantastic location near Gare de Lyon and metro a few stops to Gare de Nord, too. Couldn't recommend it enough, thank you to Christophe for his warm welcome. We can't wait to come back, now my go to place for visiting Paris.

I stayed here with my wife and 12-year-old son and we all loved it. It is very well placed for seeing the sights and for the metro, but wonderfully quiet, calm and comfortable. Breakfast was generous, varied and leisurely. Being a family of musicians, we especially enjoyed the piano room! The owners are lovely people who have created a beautiful ‘home from home’ for their guests. It’s full of warmth and fun and we hope to return!

My Daughter and I had 4 amazing nights at The Hotel Roubiax. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good and had so much variety for all tastes.|The decor at the hotel was amazing and we learnt a little history of the hotel too,|The staff were so attentive and kind.|We felt safe in the area and it was super easy to get around.|There is also an amazing cocktail bar around the corner.

I'm so surprised to see all these good reviews as our experience wasn't that good. The upper room price was over 250 euros nevertheless the furniture of the room was on the cheap side and not enough room to put your stuff. Bathroom very tiny and shower floor very slippy. I could also hear the noise of the upper floor room in the early morning when we got up. The tiny old elevator was very slow so instead of waiting would walk downstairs. Staff was nice though except for owner who is around with his dogs. Not recommended.

Yelp
We stayed here for a quick overnight trip to Paris. It's a cool, funky little hotel that is very nicely situated and not far from Châtelet Metro Station and Forum Les Halles. It's also not far from the Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame and Saint-Chapelle. The rooms are small but we expected that when we booked the stay. It was super quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There was cool cartoon art throughout the hotel which we also enjoyed. I would not recommend this for families as the rooms are small. But, for a single person or a couple who wants a cool place for a night or two, it's great.

Yelp
This hotel is well located for visitors in a safe neighborhood. The rooms are well appointed, and clean. The hotel is in a beautiful old building. The breakfast is a good continental breakfast. The star of the show is the staff. They were kind and efficient.

Yelp
Nothing short of amazing! Perfect location, close to everything, including the best bakeries in Paris, the owner Christophe is a great host who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Only 35 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport on the RER train!

Yelp
Cute, cozy , and all around great. The location is amazing and the hotel dogs are such a cute addition. There are metro stops nearby and such gorgeous scenery. 5/5 I would stay here again.

Yelp
This hotel is gorgeous with a very kind staff and clean rooms. They always get the room nice early enough you can come back in the middle of the day. The breakfast was so worth it. It was amazing every time. It's also near a lot of fun shops and restaurants to try. Very awesome place to stay

Yelp
Stayed July 13-16, 2016. Great location, super fun decor, extremely friendly and helpful staff, reasonable priced breakfast with lots of great options (toast and various cheese spreads, boiled eggs, mixed fruit, croissants and baguettes with various jams and Nutella, cereal, yogurt, many drink choices) price was triple room plus tax 111 euros per night. My only complaint is that they have a rule that you can't eat in the room but it really didn't effect us. The elevator and shower are very small as well...but functional. Power outlets not in convenient locations but all functional. Also, there is no air conditioner but it was cool while we were there so it was a non issue.

Yelp
Spacious, clean rooms (for Europe), very good prices, conveniently located (about a 6 Euro taxi ride from Paris du Nord), many good restaurants nearby and free WiFi!
