Our stay at Manatí Lodge on the Rio Negro was nothing short of magical—truly a place where dreams are realised! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warmest, happiest staff we’ve ever encountered. Everyone was always smiling, always helpful, and genuinely delighted to share the beauty of the Amazon with us. The daily tours were fantastically planned, each one offering something new, exciting, and unforgettable. Our guide, Antenor, was absolutely brilliant—extremely knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the rainforest. His insights transformed every experience into something deeper and more meaningful. Manatí Lodge gave us memories we’ll carry for a lifetime. My daughter even said she had the best days of her life here, and I couldn’t agree more. If you’re looking for adventure, connection with nature, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Collection and delivery to resort was incredibly smooth. All worked really well. We had flown since 4am and arrived about 3pm. We were immediately put on a trip in a really slow boat with a guide who was a contractor. We were not greeted by a manager. We were not told where we were going. We retraced our steps almost back to where we had joined our boat in the first place to be shown a large tree. 3 hours round trip in the sun was not what we'd needed on arrival. |Food was good by hostel standards, tasty and filling and enough food. |The accommodation is ok. Adequate, clean, certainly no attempt at luxury.|The toilets were dreadful. The flush was slow and never worked to clear waste. Every morning we left an unpleasant mess for staff. We did not put paper down the toilet btw. |The air con was either on - very cold, or off - hot and humid. Bedding was adequate.|The staff had no English.|We did not see a manager at all, day 2 we were told she would come tomorrow. |We had at great expense arranged a side tour to an indigenous village. It appears that no one knew that. We were asked to prove we had arranged that trip, which we did, reluctantly. I could go on if space allowed! Please start leaving non-instagram feedback!

We had an incredible 2 night stay at Manati Lodge! We had Magrite as our guide who was extremely knowledgeable, kind and authentic, she made our trip feel very special and we felt very lucky to experience this. The lodge is clean, feels very safe and looks just as good as the photos. The food is amazing and it is easy to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff and chefs!! We also appreciated that the lodge is respectful towards nature and does not keep any animals captive or disrupt animals in their natural habit. Would definitely recommend and come back!

We stayed four days in what I must call paradise. Everything was perfect: the food, the boat rides, the walks in the forest, everything. I want to thank our guide Robinson who was super prepared on everything, he was amazing and I hope to see him again soon.

I had done a lot of research into Amazon lodges and chose Manati because of the great reviews, I was not expecting luxury. Something has drastically changed since the reviews. We did not have a good experience. We were given a key on arrival and told you’re in room 2. That was the extent of our show round and welcome. Our guide was a contractor and informed us that there were management problems and he was not responsible for anything. We had booked a separate tour to visit an indigenous community but no one seemed to know anything about this. We asked to speak to management on our arrival and did not see anyone for our whole stay 3 nights, we kept being told the manager will be here tomorrow . I received a message from them on the last night which was too late. No one informed us of our itinerary. Our toilet blocked every day, which was unpleasant embarrassing. Our guide was knowledgeable but not engaging or professional. We did get to visit the indigenous community on the morning of our departure. This was very rushed and felt this was an inconvenience. A disappointing experience.

Absolutely perfect experience. Amazing staff, great food, wonderful room, perfect length adventures, great for solos, couples, or families. I loved the size of the place. There were about 5 families and one couple here, so it never felt crowded or less than familial. Gabriella speaks multiple languages, and ensures everyone learns about the Amazon as it goes. I loved fishing, swimming in the Amazon, looking for alligators, the nightly rains were absolutely amazing and yes, when I had to the Internet worked amazing when I needed it. I felt away from everything and so relaxed. Highly, highly recommend this place as both a learning adventure and get away.

Nelson is the best! Make sure he is your guide. The chef is also great, customizes meals

It's an awesome lodge. We had a great guide to show us around. The cook was brilliant, and the food was amazing!
