Hôtel de Silhouette

Our second visit to Biarritz, albeit the first time here having spotted it previously. Not cheap but refreshing to stay at a boutique hotel, which is not resting on its laurels. ||High quality accommodation in the main building, classy public areas, really switched on staff, top notch breakfast, surprisingly large private garden area and a dozen parking slots set the tone perfectly. An outstanding location both near the beaches and metres from the lively and numerous restaurants around Les Halles were the perfect finishing touch. ||Well worth flexing the budget for this one.

A gem of a hotel. Everything is beautiful, well-decorated, and new. The staff are very friendly. The room has good soundproofing, perfect air conditioning, and is very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. What more could you ask for? Nothing, just the chance to return someday.

We had a lovely 2 nights here. Hotel is perfectly placed in the centre. Staff were excellent and very genuine. Ate here as well. Food was great. There’s a lovely garden around the back with shade and a nice escape from the busy streets. This hotel has safe, secure, gated car parking. Perfect if you fuss like me with where the car stays also 😊

Stayed here for four nights. The location is perfect, just next to Les Halles and its restaurants and bars, and only a few minutes walk from the beaches. The hotel has a lovely ambiance, with a beautiful secluded garden restaurant and a very chic indoor bar. The staff were very welcoming and helpful through out stay.||We had a deluxe room in the main hotel, on the ground floor with its own terrace area. An amazingly comfortable emperor sized bed, bathroom with shower and bath, high quality toiletries and a separate toilet. It was incredibly quiet in the evenings, even with it being so close to the restaurant and the bustle around les Halles. Air conditioning was excellent.||We ate in the restaurant on our last day and the food was brilliant.||Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and we will definitely be back again

We stayed at Le Silhouette during peak summer in one of the new suites across from the main hotel. Spacious, spotless, and filled with thoughtful touches like Ortigia soaps, palm-leaf ceiling fans, and waterfall showers. The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of town, yet discreet and blissfully quiet at night. The garden is a dream: a laid-back French countryside feel, occasionally hosting live art and music. Everything is walkable, the staff are warm, and the whole place has a rare mix of energy and calm that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend (though part of me wants to gate keep it).

Cute boutique hotel in a perfect location across from Les Halles and near many restaurants and shops. Public areas are wonderful and staff is friendly and helpful.||Our room was the only one with an extensive private outdoor area with sea and rooftop views- incredible!||The room did have some shortcomings, however. Layout meant closet doors could not be opened when the abutting desk’s chair was in place. The room was bright during the daytime but after sunset, we could barely see our way around. One small ceiling lightbulb and two bedside reading lamps were not sufficient to light the room.||Four-star hotels usually have either a good supply of toiletries or turn-down service (if you’re lucky, both). This had neither- no cotton pads or cotton buds, no little nighttime chocolates, none of the little extras that can make you feel special. The finishes in the room and bathroom were definitely not luxe. Tissues and toilet paper were not replaced sufficiently often.||Mixed feelings about this place but the charm of Biarritz itself smoothed some of the rough edges we encountered at the hotel.

I’m usually hesitant to leave reviews for exceptional hotels because part of me wants to keep them a secret. But in this case, I have to give credit where it is due. Everything about this hotel was fantastic: the room, the incredibly helpful and friendly front desk staff, and the delicious breakfast. The location is perfect, right in town and just a short walk to the beach and other Biarritz highlights. Parking is also available for 25 euros per night.

The most wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. Fabulous location and lovely service. A hidden gem of a place. We hope to be back soon.
