Absolutely gorgeous hotel, the sweetest staff that there is and a FABULOUS Restaurant as a part of Hotel Deco, with a new-wave and modern comfort food menu that is sure to please! I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler in the Omaha area. Enjoy the dining and the gracious staff! They were also SO helpful with giving me cool spots to explore in their town and is literally walking distance to some of the best shops I've been to in Nebraska!

I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay at Hotel Deco. From the fantastic time-period esthetic to the attentive services provided - my almost 30-night stay has me convinced that this is the place to be in Omaha. Cheyenne, Jack, and Kyle keep the atmosphere fun and inviting while offering some little known history lessons of the building. The chef and menu will offer you plenty of delicious reasons on why you SHOULD dine-in this evening. Warm and inviting, this location has become the standard to beat.

The hotel was clean. Great room. Carlos, front desk guy was the best… checked in early and worked his magic to get us in… |Only constructive feedback… 2 hooks in the bathroom:)|Location is great!|Valet guys are great!|Location is perfect.|Workout area is lovely. Need 5/10 pound weights though…

Google
The Redick suite might be the nicest hotel room in Omaha. Carlos at the front desk made us feel warm and welcomed! We will be back. What a nice, romantic weekend at the Deco Hotel.

Google
Beautiful hotel with friendly service. Best part was convenient location - I walked to all the places I wanted to visit: zoo, gardens, Joslyn Art Museum, Durham Museum, Old Market. Several theaters and a comedy club all close by. I was on an upper floor and never had to wait long for the elevator. A minor issue with my room was promptly addressed. Breakfast was extra but served at a reasonable price downstairs. I appreciated the shuttle service.

Google
Wonderful experience at Deco. Checked in and taken care of immediately! We were late getting to restaurant but they stayed open for us. Jack, the bartender, and Matt, the chef, OUTSTANDING. After a long day of traveling Deco was the perfect spot to rest for the night! This will be our place to stay on future road trips!!

Google
I love this hotel. Right on down town Omaha, within walking distance from everything you'd want to go do. Rooms are AWESOME and Carlos, the front desk gentleman, who checked us in was super helpful. Also, he wore the best jackets! Will stay here again.

Google
My stay was fantastic. The hotel aesthetic and vibe is perfect. The staff were all great. Carlos was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
What a gem for Omaha. Had dinner and wine. Super service. Had a staycation and a great time.

Yelp
These reviews are so bizarre and left me wondering if the people who left them have never stayed in a hotel before. One star because the sheet wasn't fitted? Because you could hear sound through the window? Because breakfast isn't free? Lighten up people -- it's $125 a night and for that price this hotel is AMAZING. I travel for work and have seen the best and the worst, and this one is on the pretty good end of the spectrum. The person at check in was kind, lobby is nice, two elevators, updated hallway, updated room, solid locks on the door and dnd sign, slightly better than normal amenities (keurig coffee maker, make up light, soft towels, nice toiletries, etc). Rooms have clearly been renovated -- decor is hip and contemporary. Shower is nice. Bed is comfortable, with 4 pillows of varying soft/firmness. Walls are thick, I never heard anyone else. People are weird. This hotel is cool, would be happy to stay again.

Yelp
My experience at Hotel Deco was extremely disappointing and frustrating. From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were subjected to blatant racism from the staff, particularly Lynn. Despite being paying guests, we felt unwelcome and unfairly treated throughout our stay. The issues began immediately upon arrival when we discovered that our shower was broken. I called the front desk for assistance, only to be met with incredulity when I explained the problem. The suggestion to "shower in the sink" was not only impractical but also insulting. After requesting maintenance repeatedly, no one came to address the issue until the second night of our stay. Furthermore, despite requesting housekeeping services daily, our room was never cleaned, and we were not provided with fresh towels. It was incredibly frustrating to return to an unclean room day after day. To make matters worse, on our last night, we encountered a large roach in our bathroom. This was the final straw in a series of disappointments that defined our stay. What was most upsetting, however, was the treatment we received from Lynn. Her attitude towards us was consistently rude and impatient. As the only Asians in the hotel, it was clear that we were treated differently compared to other guests. I observed Lynn interacting with other guests who were predominantly white, and she was notably more friendly and accommodating towards them, even prioritizing their requests over ours. During checkout, when I raised these concerns, they were brushed off without any genuine attempt to address or apologize for the mistreatment we endured. It has been a month since our stay, and reflecting on our experience still leaves me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a guest. In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at Hotel Deco if you are a person of color. The discriminatory treatment we experienced from Lynn and the overall lack of responsiveness to our concerns make it clear that this establishment does not value diversity or customer satisfaction.

Yelp
Not a lot of love it appears for Hotel Deco, but I found the hotel to be well designed and was a pleasure staying there. Rooms were nice and had no issues with check in or out. Location is pretty decent being close to the downtown area of Omaha! Overall great experience and decent pricing!

Yelp
This hotel is a total disappointment. To be fair its more like a 3 star hotel. Where do I begin, you think you pay more you get more but not true about here. Very low pressure water for the shower. They don't have 24/7 on demand room service for 4 star hotel! Very neutral customer service. Don't have a buffet for breakfast. $25 per night parking fee. Super noisy rooms due to old windows. Usually hotels use soundproof windows but this one uses an amplifier instead! The whole night I can hear cars and motorcycles. And not to mention of, its overpriced compared to what you get. So don't waste your money and get a 3 star hotel. You can save money and yourself from insomnia. Oh , I almost forgot, I asked them for refund and they refused. So not even flexible. When I wanted to pull aside the curtains a lot of dusts went on air.

Yelp
If I could give negative stars, I would. What a joke of a hotel. Room A/C sounds like a freight train in alllll the 24 (yes 24 rooms) rooms we booked. It's 99 degrees out in August. Good luck trying to sleep. Rooms are dirty and outdated. TV doesn't work. Phone doesn't work. Went downstairs at 7:40pm to order room service. "We don't have room service" was what I was told. Was told I could order to go from the restaurant...except for some reason, they decided to close at 7:30pm. Literally 23 rooms of people for our reservation alone and no one can eat here?? Place is whack with a capital W

Yelp
There are a couple of drawbacks here. One is the valet service, which is limited. If you get the slow guy when you're trying to check in or out with a vehicle, you could easily be late for wherever you're headed. The rooms, while pleasant, seem to have a 70 degree governor on the heat-side of the thermostats. Had that problem twice. Also found light bulbs out that could have been fixed if those preparing the rooms had been more observant. Comfortable beds but very low to the floor. Showers require reviewing the written instructions. There's also a ramp(at least on seven) in the hallway that's darn hard to navigate if you're using one of the hotel's wheeled carts.

Yelp
Please read this entire post. Stay away from this place. Checkin was OK but I quickly noticed that the older ladies that work the front desk are loud and obnoxious. Anyway, after I got off the elevator and was heading to my room, a weird man peeked outside of his room and stared at me as if he was waiting for me to come inside. It didn't feel right. Gave me chills. The look in his eyes made me feel like he was waiting for a prostitute. I kept walking. I drop my things off to go back downstairs to locate a store to buy water. As I walked past the weird man's room, I noticed that he had placed a do not disturb sign on his door (every time I passed by that room there was a do not disturb sign on the door). Something just didn't feel right. Then I walked up the street to the convenience store to get bottled water. I witnessed a drug deal in broad daylight right in front of the store. Druggies, drunks, and homeless people hang out in front. The valet told me to go there!! I ate dinner at their "famed" Monarch restaurant. NO ONE WAS THERE DINING EXCEPT ME!! Their website says that the Monarch is the "Number 2 restaurant in Omaha". Maybe in their dreams. Day 3: I go to the elevator that morning to go to the fitness center that is located in the basement. The weird man was standing there in his business suit. He was polite and asked me to step in the elevator first (as a typical gentleman would) but I declined because I needed the second elevator that takes you to the basement. I finish my workout. FYI, there's no AC in the basement. I go to the restaurant to pickup breakfast to take to my room. NO ONE is there. Not even the staff to take my order. I go to the front desk and ask if the restaurant is open. I'm told that they would call someone to come up to help. Not kidding: THE WEIRD MAN COMES TO GREET ME AND ASKS WHAT I WANT TO ORDER. Y'ALL!!!!!HE WORKS AT THE HOTEL! OMG!!! Suffice it to say that he didn't come back with my order. He sent someone else to take my order again and she seemed a bit nervous but very sweet and polite. LET ME BE CLEAR: THE WEIRD MAN THAT I SAW PEEK THROUGH THE HOTEL ROOM DOOR ON MY FLOOR WHO HAD THE LOOK OF WANTING IN HIS EYES WORKS AT THE HOTEL. LIKE, HE IS IN MANAGEMENT AND HE'S KEEPING THAT ROOM OCCUPIED FOR HIMSELF AND HIS "ACTIVITIES"!!! I ended up having to stay in Omaha an extra night. So I ran for the hills. The valet at my new hotel asked why I was only staying one night (just more of a hey just an in/out stay?). I explained that I had been in town already for a couple of days but checked out of the hotel where I had been staying to be in a better place. He responds: let me guess you were at the Deco? I said yes. He said, I wouldn't recommend that place to a sewer rat. He also shared that nine months ago someone jumped off the roof of the Deco and landed on top of the hotel's own branded valet car that is parked in front of the valet stand. Needless to say that the person died and instead of the hotel replacing the car, they just replaced the roof of the car that was damaged by the fallen body. Y'all, I'm so done. The locals know this place is terrible!! Don't stay there. The pictures and good reviews are misleading.

Yelp
Loved our two night stay this weekend in Downtown Omaha at the Deco! The old vibe draws you in immediately if you let it. There is an amazing history to this property I have discovered from talking to my 94 year old friend who claims the actual Deco hotel was originally a parking garage... and you know what? I believe he is correct . Interesting themes that also correspond with Alice in Wonderland with the carpet, tile, wallpaper and artwork in the main areas and guest rooms. We loved our stay.

Yelp
First off- I made a reservation for the jacuzzi suite, which was extremely expensive for Omaha. Valet was quick and friendly as was the women checking me in. I was very excited for the treat as I had. Just got done with an extremely busy and very emotional week. My husband was recently killed and this was to be my pre- anniversary celebration to celebrate him, our time together and how hard it has been on me losing him. I get to the room which is a large room with very minimal furnishings and NOTHING EXTRA. No extra blanket, pillows. Walk into the bathroom not a towel to be seen.... Ok... I thought I'll go get ice- no ice machine on this floor, on the 4th floor I was told by a random person passing by. Get my ice, see some towels on a cart and she hands me 3. Hmmm again ok Get back to the room, decide to turn the water on for the jacuzzi... and there's little black specks all over it WTH closer look it's from someone sharing.... I'll use 1 of my 3 towels to wipe down a jacuzzi that should of been cleaned.... Oh no covers on the tub knobs. Turn water on, go pour myself a glass of bubbly... cheers & back to check on the tub, ok it's filling up nicely. Let me call the restaurant and order..... hmm phone doesn't work, isn't charged...????!! My phone is almost dead to I'll let it sit for a bit. Tub looks inviting, still phone doesn't work. Call down to the restaurant ring ring no answer. Pop in to where the jacuzzi is and on the wall is where you turn the knob to start the bubbles. Still in my work clothes, champagne in hand and I turn the knob to be BLASTED AND COMPLETELY DRENCHED. OMG - ....... Hmm did I bring other clothes- yes PJ's - call again no answer, again get front desk and they will transfer me... 5 times and the bloody phone just rings and hangs up. Ok -I've about had it- towel #2 used change head down - 4 people at the front desk (I've kept it together so far) 1 person at the bar, 2 tables with people. So they are not slammed- I ask for the manager- she is promptly there- so very sorry she doesn't know... I order and head back to my room. Food comes. I thought ok - charcuterie board looks picture perfect, refill my glass... grab a slice of prosciutto and the 5 slices all come together because they are hard as a rock, jerky. Go to dip it in the grainy mustard which is hard and has a crust on it, strawberry is juiceless and the nuts are soft and stale..... I can't even believe it. Go and get the entree which in my mind is creamy risotto with 3 maybe 4 sautéed scallops... WTH it's the color of a paper bag, and the rubber minuscule scallops are the size of your pinky nail. This tasted like a can of some random seafood left in a crock pot for to long. Oh wait - the chocolate pot de crema was fine - the banana cheese cake was a take on stale German chocolate cake with 2 1/2" banana chunks sitting beside it. I know this is long- But WTH- mind you I called every day this week to speak to the General Manager and still have not received a call back. Would i recommend this place No- not at all they should be ashamed of everything

Yelp
We attempted to stay there but Dan was so rude we cancelled. Then we saw Google reviews and understood why it was a good decision to cancel.

Yelp
Stayed for a Friday night. In town for a wedding. Hotel seems like an old warehouse or building turned into hotel rooms. Spacious living room area with a kitchenette and Wall Tv. Amenities included a writing desk, sofa (not a pull out), large cushioned chair, microwave, coffee pot, Ironing board, Iron, Safe, dresser No ice maker, but the hotel desk clerk brought us up ice. There is a restaurant and bar. Bar area is beautiful! There is also a large body mirror in the living room. Looks like it should "light up" but I couldn't get it too. Looks like a button to press at the top but it didn't work so I'm hoping it was NOT a camera. Because there was a "screen" inside like a camera eye.... sigh. Valet parking or you can pay street parking.

Paige W.

Yelp
If I could give them negative stars, I would. Update: After everything, we were still charged the full amount despite not staying there and being told we wouldn't be charged. I called the hotel, the woman who was working never checked us out so their system shows we stayed all 3 nights when we were there for under 1 hour. This place is NASTY and the customer service is atrocious. The lobby was dirty, and even though we were the only people there and had a reservation, it took over 30 minutes to check in. Then, we get to our room, and despite there being almost no one in the hotel, we were placed beside a room with multiple small dogs that barked constantly. The room had very clearly dried male ejaculation all over the nightstand, dust caked on the vents (it was fuzzy), the light in the bathroom was broken, there were no sheets on our bed, the sugar for the coffee was either already open and used or had been sprayed with cleaners, they didn't replace the coffee pods, there was hair on the pillows, the floors were dirty, and the room looked absolutely nothing like the photos and was about half the size of the online photos. Given the state of the room, we went to the front desk, because we absolutely were not paying $140/night for something that disgusting. The woman at the front desk was very rude, making accusations that we were exaggerating, said she didn't remember us checking in 20 minutes before hand, and kept just rudely talking at us when we were calmly standing there not talking while we waited. After another worker came back with pictures she said she would refund the room so we could leave, but then refused to give us anything saying we wouldn't be charged and told us the charge wouldn't process. Well, we were in fact charged, so now we have to fight with the card company and Hotel Deco to get our money back. This is on top of us having to suddenly having to find a hotel at 9:30pm after driving for 9 hours. Oh and cherry on top of the cake was that the only parking was valet, but the valet wouldn't park your car or even acknowledge you. He just sat inside the door to the hotel on his phone. He wouldn't even open the door for guests carrying all their luggage (because there is no luggage cart). And no, the valet wasn't some lazy young person, he was definitely at least 60-65 years old.

Kycgeek J.

Yelp
we have stayed here numerous times. but there are several reasons we probably will stay elsewhere next time. The room was very dark. The bathroom had a lighted mirror that would have helped in there, if it actually worked. The tv would come on, but the remote control only turned it on/off so you couldn't actually use it. my credit card alarm went off and woke us up at 0330 saying that it had been ran again by number ( it was ran on checkin) When I mentioned the issues on check out ( cc alarm, other issues) The attendant said "oh that was the night auditor, happens all the time" I told her my CC company had declined the second attempt, " no problem" She replied. She thanked me for reporting the room issues... 12 hours after checkout I called about a new charge of 25.00 that had just occurred. I was told that was for parking, I asked why wasnt I told about the fee and /or billed at time of check out instead of 12 hours later, she just said that is just how it happened. I guess as a customer you should accept un announced charges. NOT Me.

Jan H.

Yelp
Terrible service from start to finish. When I came in nobody was there to check me in. Waited 10+ minutes. With 31% occupancy, I got room with a view of rocks. When I called to change rooms, Jeff thought it was better to check out instead of a different room. Considering it's my first time in Omaha and I'll be coming back at least a few more times, congratulations on making your hotel value based on price only, and now when I book I'll know that I have to take into consideration your awful service.

Sue G.

Yelp
We really appreciated this place. We have been here on two different trips. The staff are all friendly. It's clean and the room is as depicted on the website. It's an old structure so the walls are not paper thin therefore pretty quiet. There is iced lemon water in the lobby which we enjoyed. The coffee maker in the room is a nespresso so you can make your own espresso. We stayed three nights this last time and the cleaning people were very nice. They had a vacuum cleaner, which in many hotels you no longer see. The towels are fluffy. We appreciated the hard surface floors in the room so it's cleaner than wall to wall carpet in the room. There is an area rug so that as you step out of bed, you hit the cozy rug. Thankful for the positive experience. We will be back in future trips to Omaha.

Yelp
Gorgeous downtown Omaha hotel. Everything about this hotel was fabulous. The rooms were clean and up to date- a little too much as I struggled to figure out the fancy high tech shower. Lol. Once I got the hang of that all was good. Beds were comfy, halls clean, staff super helpful and they let our volleyball team hang out in the open conference rooms to play games. I would highly recommend this unique place if in Omaha. Oh & there is a speakeasy next door. Cool as sh*t.

Annie W.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. We've been on a cross-country road trip and this hotel has been the best that we've stayed at in the US so far. The decor is fantastic and yet super comfortable. It doesn't have that stale hotel feel, it literally feels like you're staying in a cute apartment. We almost didn't want to leave and explore Omaha because it was so cozy. Speaking of comfort, this might be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The windows open up so you can get a nice breeze too. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. We loved Lucia and Jacob. This hotel is SUPER clean too. It's walkable to some really cute areas too. A historic district loaded with restaurants, wine bars and cigar shops, little Italy and the up and coming hip area of Little Bohemia are within a mile. I'm definitely coming back here. There's a speakeasy next door too if you can figure out the password. Fantastic drinks!

Madelyne M.

Yelp
The hotel itself is wonderful, aside from the water pressure of the showers. it's located in the heart of omaha with lots to do, and an awesome speakeasy inside the liquor store right next door!! the monarch restaurant inside the hotel however, was terrible. not only is it overpriced with lousy food, but it took forever. for $70 my family and i received three eggs benedict's and a french omelette. the omelette was undercooked, the benedict's had boiled eggs versus poached, the hollandaise sauce was sour, the english muffins were hard, and there was prosciutto instead of ham. i'm not the type to write bad reviews or any kind at all...but i thought id save people the trouble of wasting their money on a terrible experience.

Yelp
We stayed at the Deco Hotel for this 2024 College World Series. We have stayed at the Deco three different times for the Series. Our previous stays at the Deco were excellent. This year we were very disappointed. We rented three rooms for four nights. Obviously, during the Series hotels in downtown Omaha get very high rates and they are all booked up. Supply and demand, I get it. The showers in our rooms were beyond poor. There was very little to no water pressure. You had difficulty washing your hair. The thermostat valve did not function properly. The hot water was boiling hot or did not work. After setting through a ball game for four hours. Having a functional shower was extremely important. We approached the front desk to discuss our situation. They blamed it on some issue with the towns water department. REALLY!! They sure didn't offer any discount or apology for the inconvenience. To add insult to injury. Our rooms were never cleaned once during the stay. FOUR NIGHTS!!! Same towels for four nights. On our other stays. The dinning room, a large beautiful room with several tables with linen table cloths and napkins, was open for breakfast. This year the dinning room was closed. You had to ask for breakfast in the bar area. It was obvious that they had a major staff problem in the kitchen. There was one poor young girl there to deal with the whole hotel breakfast needs. It took a hour to be served. The menu was five items. Very basic. I've had better service at Motel Six. We were stuck and they knew it. Rooms downtown are booked up for the Series. There was no option to change hotels. We won't be coming back to the Deco ever again. What a disappointment!!!!

Katie L.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Deco. The location is perfect for anyone who is going to the Orpheum for a show. The hotel itself and the room is beautiful. It has clearly been nicely renovated. The robes were a very nice touch and definitely added to the luxury hotel feeling. There were a few downfalls: + I have a Nespresso at home that I love, but the coffee from this one was terrible. + If you are a light sleeper, you will need to sleep on a higher floor. We were on the 4th floor and could hear all the street noises. + My biggest complaint would be that we had no hot water in the shower. It is a fancy panel system, so first we thought we must just not know how to use it. We looked up a YouTube tutorial, and it was clear something was wrong with the shower. It was only producing ice cold water. We were leaving the morning we discovered this, but I called the front desk to let them know. I was disappointed that instead of an apology, they just said "thanks for letting us know; we will have maintenance look at it." Not having a working shower in a hotel room is a pretty large inconvenience. I'm not expecting mountains to be moved, but I would have appreciated a more concerned response.

Samantha S.

Yelp
I'm so glad I decided on Hotel Deco! It is a wonderful property with clean, beautiful rooms. When I'm in Omaha I will not stay anywhere else! Denise was a great help and made sure my stay was very enjoyable. I highly recommend this property.

Bayleii M.

Yelp
From out of town? Forget asking the bartender (guy with a weak handlebar lip fuzz) for any advise or questions you may have. Such a jerk!!!

Tamra T.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel lobby and adjacent restaurant and bar. Staff professional and nice - also professionally dressed. Room was huge - although we did pay for an upgraded room. Linens and towels clean and fresh. The breakfast buffet ($15) promised to be great but fell short with runny eggs, frozen to room temp pastries and the only option for hot tea was chamomile. Fruit was nice though. Furniture in the room not very comfortable.

Matt G.

Yelp
This hotel is full of lies and disappointment. Valet/parking- Valet refused to park our vehicle and even refused to assist with our luggage. We were told to park ourselves and then were lied to as of what the prices for self parking was. They stated that prices would be comped from 9pm to 9am for street parking; that's only because the meters stop charging during those times. There is also a way the hotel could offer validation, but they refuse that. Check in- The desk staff were friendly and eager to help, although often gave out misinformation (ex. parking prices). The baggage carts were all being used by staff and none were offered to be used for guests. There are small flights of stairs on each floor even if you do get a cart. Room- The room has cold wood floors requiring house shoes or socks in the mornings. We could feel the springs in the mattress and woke up with aches in our backs. The pillows were tiny, square, extremely soft, and unsupportive. There were no robes. No complimentary water bottles, a standard offering at almost any other hotel. The room had many flaws cosmetically including water stains on the ceiling and it looks as if they just paint over anything that needs fixing. The shower was a neat experience, since it has several nozzles, but it would not surprise me if they do have mold since there are cracks all along the seams of the shower. Amenities- The only amenity we tried was the shuttle. Attempted to try. We were told it would take 15 minutes (more misinformation) and then 30 minutes later we left using our own vehicle, wasting an hour left in the meter. It is first come first serve with no queue, so someone can monopolize it for an entire day if they wanted. WiFi is terrible, we were better off using throttled data from our own provider. They do give you a free coffee token in your room if you're savvy enough to spot it. Check out- This was the best part of the stay and was uncomplicated with no issues. Summation- If you are looking at this and any other 4 star hotel, choose the other one. Even a 3 star would be better.

Yelp
The first night was a Thursday and the room they put me in had air conditioning that didn't work. They said they would bring someone up to fix it. They didn't fix it. It was 95°+ outside and 75+ in the room. They finally after asking a couple times for a different room, put me in a different room after 5 hours or so. Then Friday, not knowing a convention was going on in town, Hotel charged me TRIPLE the price from the night before. I was quoted the same price each night 3 different times before booking and they wouldn't change it. I asked to just go down a couple hundred at least but they wouldn't negotiate. It's a decent hotel but most definitely NOT worth the money. No breakfast, no pool, no nothing was included. Valet is 50-100 extra also

James G.

Yelp
The hotel seems like a lovely design and clean and well-kept. We booked this hotel because of the wifi and when we asked they said it wasn't working and they were calling the Internet company "and it could be awhile." We need to work while we are here. This cost us time and money. Also, the front desk seemed to think this was not urgent. Also, the front desk lacked pertinent information about the city, the hotel, etc., and seemed clueless. They admitted that they recently had a domestic disturbance recently when they let someone into a room without permission of the guest. Yikes.

Wen W.

Yelp
1) The shuttle is very nice and luxurious. 2) The shuttle driver is courteous and professional. S/he will call you to make sure to let you know she's or he's on her/his way. 3) The Hotel is located in downtown Omaha, right across from Orpheum Theater. It's also located near other awesome breweries and gift shops for you to check out. You can easily access to Heartland Of America Park as well. Everything is walking distance. Yes, you can also visit Bob the Bridge, which means you can get to Iowa - making it two states in one day visit. 4) The Hotel staff are very polite and professional. They will help you anyway they can. Only set back was they had to give my room away due to Memorial Day weekend rush, so I had to be located one floor below my friend's room instead of being right next to her room like originally requested. 5) The Hotel room is seriously chic and clean. Bedding is comfortable. Lighting is perfect. TV is awesome with HBO channels included. A/C works great. The interior design is modern, and you'll enjoy it. There's iPod player, which you can play your iPod and charge it. However, you must have device charging plug or port for your phone(s) and tablet(s) because this hotel doesn't offer the USB ports in the plug-ins like other hotels I've stayed at. Now, be careful, you might be unable to get out of the shower because the shower head is seriously like rain dumping down on you with three additional shower heads, which I didn't use because the main head was enough to make me not wanting to get out in the first place. Don't be scared of the shower room! Embrace it! 6) There are bar and restaurant located in the lobby. There are also great nearby restaurants and bars within distance, but the bar and restaurant inside the hotel are just as awesome. If you stay at the hotel, you'll get complimentary continental breakfast. Hot breakfast option isn't offered, but croissant, fruits, and boiled eggs should be enough to start your early morning. 7) There's the fruit-infused water jug located right next to the receptionist's desk. What a great way for the guests to refresh themselves after a long hot day of being outside. 8) The Hotel WiFi isn't working so great on my phone for some odd reasons. Perhaps, there are too many people using the connection all at once. This still doesn't matter much to me as my phone data is just helping me get through the day just fine. 9) The cleaning staff went to clean my hotel room and ended up leaving one of his/her cleaning gloves in the bathroom. I didn't care much about it because the hotel did respond to my request quickly when I requested for shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Within minutes, the person showed up at my room with the products. 10) It's a chic boutique hotel, so why won't you want to stay here? It's awesome despite couple things I was quite meh about. I still had a great experience. I will consider this hotel the next time I am back to Omaha, NE. ________________ I just detailed 10 things about The Deco Hotel: both positive and negative. You're welcome.

Yelp
Overall this review is one of "buts". The recent room renovations work great, but it isn't being maintained. The bathroom shower is phenomenal, but it floods the bathroom every time you use it. The furniture is nice, but they don't clean under it. They also didn't clean the side of the toilet that faces the shower. It has stains on it. Yuck. Sort of an out of sight out of mind. The bed was ok, but they didn't use a fitted sheet. The TV was perfect but it was really far away from the bed. Room was supposed to have two bath robes, but it did not. They repainted some of the walls, but didn't do this very well (see pictures). The room smelled smokey. The internet signal was too low to reach our room, so I had to use my phone's hotspot the whole time. The sad thing is if someone really cared, this hotel could be the best in Omaha. Currently though, they have some things to work out.

Yelp
+ it is a boutique hotel + art deco stylings + most of the staff tries hard + valet parking + a proper bellman, who also drives the hotel car, works the front desk and parks the cars (Steve you work very hard) + great location - understaffed - everyone seems to do every job but it is not well executed-they just need more help - had to ask twice to receive extra bath towels - charged for parking included in the room rate (received a credit after i asked for it) - had a pair of pants laundered/pressed and then had to be retrieved from the front desk not placed in room. - there were bobby pins (hair pins) all over our room when we checked in. the floor, the tables & the bathroom. -the chairs were stained and the cushions were filled up allowing us to reinstall them choosing the least stained side. -room was to have bath robes and it did not. (did not bother asking given the two requests for towels) more like a Hilton Garden Inn then a boutique hotel

Yelp
I didn't actually stay here, but we had a reservation with a confirmation number from HotelTonight. They Director of Rooms was very rude to us and told us they don't book with HotelTonight as of today and they won't honor my reservation. I called HotelTonight and they called her at the desk, she was rude to them and then to us again. Had an extreme attitude like, "i told you so." Totally fine, someone messed up, BUT of all the people it could be, it for sure wasn't me. She can't make rooms appear, but she should've been understand and helpful, not rude. HotelTonight hooked us up, so we are in an awesome hotel now and will never stay at Hotel Deco, and you probably shouldn't either.

Yelp
Online pictures tell a completely different story of exactly what this hotel truly is, trash. From the doorman/valet that stared at his phone and we had to walk in to get his attention, to the 3 front desk gals that never acknowledged us, to the crappy construction and amenities... overall crap. Only two towels in the room, the king suite, non working electrical plugs, and cheaply built furniture, framing. It's all bad. Shower door opens into the shower head and sprayers, bad planning. Holiday Inn express beats this wanna be hipster hang out.

Yelp
My husband and I were gifted a one night stay at Hotel Deco and were happy with our stay. The bed was comfortable, many outlets for charging, nice shower and very clean. The two men who helped with valet service were very attentive, quick, efficient and extremely friendly. I think their customer service and professionalism stood out to us the most! We needed to print/sign a paper for a sudden work requirement and luckily the hotel has a business center that provides complimentary printing/scanning service. We called the front desk for extra pillows (I sleep with a lot of pillows) and the staff brought them up within a couple minutes. Very prompt service! We had an issue with the A/C working in the room but were happy with the management handling of the situation. The location is perfect in that it is walking distance from many great bars, restaurants and coffee shops. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Yelp
Wife and I stayed here for a special event. Fabulous is the best way to describe it! The lobby is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The free valet was great. We checked in and loved the room, Put our stuff away and then had the hotel driver take us to dinner and pick us up after. How wonderful is that!!! We loved the room, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever had at a hotel. We have been back since our first visit and it has been just as good! Right next to the orpheum and is great to walk across the street for a show

Yelp
Dirty old non functional amenities but you wouldn't know this by looking at their website. It looks Like a high end hotel but the reality is quite different. Room smelled, shower doesn't work carpets are disgusting, windows don't fully close so you are freezing the whole night. Staff was nice but they are working with a old hotel which clearly needs updating and some deep cleaning. You can't just surface vacuum years of stains. Save your $$ and book at a better hotel.

Yelp
This is the best get away experience I've ever had. The suite I had exceeded all expectations . It was classy, beautiful, comfortable and just everything I've ever wanted in a hotel. The only reason Deco didn't receive 5 stars is management. Things seemed to be disorganized and confused. I didn't check out the bar or restaurant. Now I have an excuse to return. I will request the same room. The staff that I had encountered were more than accommodating & felt as if they were genuinely happy to help. A little organization and The Hotel Deco will have that 5th star

Yelp
Check-in desk didn't bother to greet me upon arrival but acted like she was put out at having to deal with a guest. Check-in is not until 4p which is ridiculous. Pass.

Yelp
The only positive thing about Hotel Deco is the Monarch. First room: - Missing the light bulb from the main source of light in the living area - Floor was dirty, furniture worn and stained - Shower door wouldn't close so the bathroom floor flooded After the first night I requested to be moved into a new room -- the manager looked at me like I was being ridiculous but still accommodated. New room: - Still dirty, furniture worn and damaged, flat iron burn on the bathroom counter - TVs didn't work properly, living area one -- remote doesn't work. Bedroom TV did not even have a cable signal - Mold, rust and grime in the bathroom - Sloppy paint jobs - Worst thing was the dirty broken fridge, had trash and cups with old food in them, a massive amount of freezer burn because the door could not shut. Asked for it to be cleaned on 4 different occasions. Was told each time that either it was going to be taken care of immediately or it was already taken care of. It took me tracking down a cleaning service person for it to actually be cleaned after the gentleman at the front desk was clearly exasperated by my requests and lied to me. He was also quite rude and annoyed with me when I had to return downstairs because my key wouldn't work. The customer should never be made to feel like they are the problem when asking for something as basic as a clean fridge and access to their room. Absolutely ridiculous and the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I'll never return here which is a shame because the Monarch is so lovely but they have to deal with being associated with a terrible hotel.

Yelp
Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! Do not stay here if you have even a low standard for cleanliness. *The front desk staff are extraordinarily unprofessional and bumble around trying to figure out very basic elements of running a hotel. * Valet parking is also a sh*tshow. * Our bathroom was so filthy I could barely stand to walk on the floor. There was hair and pubic hair all over the floor, mold, and the shower gave off a high pitch screeching sound when turned on. * The beds are uncomfortable, terrible pillows, and cheap polyester blend sheets. Please heed the warnings on this review thread and DO NOT stay here

Yelp
I booked 2 rooms. Tried to call 3 days in a row and no one would answer. Nice looking hotel, but cannot get in touch with them.

Vicki S.

Yelp
Hotel Deco. Because when you get bumped from the 2 room king suite you reserved over a month ago and get shuffled into a tiny little room for the same price, there is no reason for them to also make sure housecleaning had at least been there first. Needless to say, we did not stay. Broken toilet seat, broken lampshades, water damaged ceiling and floor. grease on mirrors and windows, trash and hair on floor. Trash in wastebaskets. Questionable bedsheets. Disgusting. Management acted like they could care less.

Yelp
I'm back and forth on this! It's super class on the surface, art deco, old building, etc. and the dining inside, The Monarch, was excellent all around (separate review!). Service was friendly, parking was easy. But if you look at the pictures, it's definitely got underlying issues. Glossy on top and okay, but eh unless you get a deal.

Yelp
My best friend booked a suite here for my bachelorette party and I seriously felt like I was staying in different city. The aesthetic of the hotel is upscale and I felt like you can tell in every detail. The room was exceptionally large, two queen beds and a living space with couches and chairs, enough to accommodate the party. In fact, the interior was so great and inviting we didn't end up leaving to go out until like 11:30. The staff at the front desk was so fun and nice. They took dozens of pictures for us with out complaining and made us laugh the whole time. The shuttle driver was just as nice and really tied a bow on the night. I regrettably chose a different hotel for my wedding day and will never let myself forget I should have stayed here that night too.

Yelp
This is just an OK hotel not worth all the hype about it. It is certainly not premier looking and with maintenance issues. It appears that no one sweeps under the furniture as evidenced by the amount of dust under the couch. The furniture is in need of replacement specially the coffee table. The service is good but the overall appearance and cleanliness was lacking.

Yelp
They gave us a noisy room directly opposite the elevator on the 7th floor. We asked for a quieter room and they said they had plenty and changed our room. We tried to use the phone to call the front desk and the phone did not work at all. We asked them later about this and their response was, "Your phone doesn't work either?". The heat in the room did not work and it was February and heat would be nice. Poor lighting overall and the desk light did not work. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Shower in the bathroom was just a trickle coming out of it. To top it off, we came out of this room in the am and a hotel employee that was walking by stopped to ask us if we had seen any ghosts. He said the hotel was haunted and most of this activity was on the 7th floor. He talked to us about this for a couple minutes and we got in the elevator to go down and started laughing at such an add interaction. We will never stay at this hotel again, even though the location was convenient.

Yelp
Hotel Deco overbooked and didn't honor our reservation. They told us they didn't have a room for us at 11:00 at night, didn't offer to help us find another hotel, didn't offer to remunerate us and charged our credit card for the Travelocity reservation. There are plenty of good hotels in Omaha. Don't trust this one with your accommodation needs.

Megan S.

Yelp
Positives: Great location, smart idea with non-carpeted flooring and crisp bedding for a modern, clean feel, hip look to the lobby and staff, modern spa shower fittings, affordable price for the boutique hotel category, fabulous restaurant and bar with above average food and service. Negatives (or at least areas for improvement): Lack of attention to detail in many areas expected for this level of hotel in terms of customer service training and physical plant, uneven quality of product (one fluffy towel, one scratchy towel in the same bathroom for instance), very cramped bathroom space, lack of interior and exterior soundproofing. Nothing I have mentioned is any different from other reviewers. Overall, I found my experience to be uneven. I don't see any response by management to previous reviews, which seems to indicate a certain something.

Yelp
The staff is AMAZING! We have stayed all over the map and Hotel Deco XV provided us with impeccable customer service and care! We used the car service throughout the whole evening and they were at each stop within minutes! The room was clean and beautiful! Such a chill vibe, so relaxing! The amenities were plentiful, house cocktail was an awesome way to start off the evening! Wicked Rabbit cocktails available for purchase in the room! Love the support for local business Hotel Deco XV has achieved! Thank you!

Yelp
A chic hotel right in the middle of DT Omaha. Perfect for our last staycation. We enjoy the lobby bar- and by enjoyed I mean we closed that baby down!! We were treated kindly and fair by the hotel staff. Definitely will stay again!
