While this hotel has a lovely aesthetic and in a great location, the basic facilities are unfortunately below what you’d expect for the price. In reality, this is more of a 3-star experience at best.
The Wi-Fi is almost unusable, constantly dropping out to the point where even using Google Maps was difficult. Because many of the rooms are located in the basement, mobile data (5G) didn’t work properly there either. The rooms themselves are very dark, with little natural light.
There are also some surprising omissions for a hotel in this price range — no coffee machine anywhere on the property, no power socket near a mirror to style your hair, and a very weak hairdryer (I’ve had better in a budget chain).
We also had a frustrating experience with the laundry service: after being assured it could be done, our clothes were returned to our room 24 hours later unwashed, and only when we went back to the desk were we told it wasn’t possible after all. The man at the desk seemed confused and didn’t offer an apology or solution, though I will say the female attendant who checked us in was lovely and helpful.
After housekeeping, no new bottled waters were provided, so we ended up buying our own.
For the price point, I expected much better service and amenities. It’s a stylish hotel, but ultimately not worth the money — there’s definitely better value to be found elsewhere.
