Hotel Del Lago Golf & Art Resort

Very nice hotel/resort with lots of options for a weekend (biking, sailing, golf, spa...) Have been a regular for 10 years, still love it! Rooms could get an upgrade though, they are starting to look old

It’s a nice place, but I think it’s not worth spending so much money, as you’ll be staying in a place that is a little far from Punta del Este’s main attractions. However, if you want to spend a quiet time with your family (little children only), it can be a proper place for that. It was a huge outdoor swimming pool, as well as several tennis courts. The hotel is surrounded by nature, so it may be perfect for those willing to chill out and unwind. The restaurant is not great. But I must recognize that it’s worth mentioning that they include a gluten-free meal in the menu, which is really nice for those who are allergic to gluten. The view from the restaurant is really breathtaking and definitely worth mentioning.

Loved this place. Stayed twice and will again. Wonderful setting at a lake in a forest only 10m minutes from ocean.Excellent rooms and beds. Restaurant is good but not open until evening meal and for breakfast. Bar has light snacks during day. Enjoy the Punta Ballena ocean beach area as well as the lake beach on site. Tennis courts great outdoor and indoor pools, gym, and child activity area. Great for families , singles , couples.

Hotel has a wide variety of services, though they are not always available or in good conditions. Kayaking wasn't available, tennis courts were in bad condition, massages were all booked and the outdoors pool was filled with dirt from the trees. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice and clean. Breakfast food was varied and plentiful but dinner food just very low-quality. The balconies don't have much of a separation, there's very little privacy. The lake view is very nice and the overall environment has a very native feeling. I would only recommend this place for families with kids, where they have a wide variety of things to do. Wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing time with friends or couples, not worth the price.

The best aspect is -by far- the privileged location and awesome nature surrounding the hotel. The lake, the golf course, woods around it, everything is just beautiful. ||As mentioned on some other posts, the actual facility is old and minimally kept up to date. You can see sofas and furniture worn out throughout the building. |Restaurant couldn’t keep up with nbr. of guests. People working at delivering services were just too few and couldn’t look after a fully booked place. ||All in all, nice place and worth visiting as long as weather conditions play along and you can go outdoors.

This was my short weekend break in winter.||||Reaching the hotel: We checked with the hotel staff about the nearest bus stop as we were travelling by bus. We reached there by bus and contacted the hotel. Hotel van arrived in 10-12 minutes for pick up, we reached the hotel in another 15 minutes. ||||Check in: Check in process was smooth, however, we were not very sure about that as we booked this hotel from makemytrip.com but to our surprise, it was very quick.||||Room: We got a twin room, with 2 queen beds with balcony at the back (Golfview) and private terrace at the front (lake view). It has a bathtub as well. However, we missed the microwave in the room.||||Activities: It has a printed paper for the schedule of activities of every day. We choose to visit Golf course for an hour of the complimentary class of Golf. After that, we visited the aqua gym that was in the indoor pool and full of fun. We played ping pong and some video games as well. It has 4 or more tennis courts as well. The outdoor pool was not functional as it was winter time.||||Food: DInner was paid some 20 dollars per person and it was worth. Breakfast was complimentary and it was good, however, there were not so many vegetarian options available.||||Checkout: Checkout time was 12 PM, we checked out and left our baggage at the reception. We were in the hotel for 4 more hours and enjoyed their services and later they dropped us at bus stop.

This hotel has everything you need, really everything, I’m surprised! They have golf , mini golf, spa, tennis, paddle , bikes, video games, table tennis, gym , daycare for children, pool inside and outside... and more things. It is located in a very peaceful place, I do recommend this hotel. The rooms are good too and bathroom good with the style of this part of South America. If you wanna spend good family time in Punta del Este, this hotel is a very well option!

Great facilities. Very good place to stay with children. The lake is a great addition to have a beach near to the hotel. Breakfast was great. Nice swimming pool, the bar under the waterfall is great! We loved it.
