The Ultimate Galápagos Islands Travel Guide

"In Guayaquil, Hotel del Parque, located in the city's leafy Parque Histórico, is a sophisticated boutique property with 44 rooms. The restored building dates back to 1891, and houses a spa where you can book a massage in a repurposed church bell tower." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Hotel del Parque (Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Hotel del Parque is named not for just any old park, but for the Parque Historical botanical gardens, in Ecuador’s second city of Guayaquil. And, as you might have guessed it’s not just any old hotel, but a beautifully restored 19th-century edifice that was actually moved, piece by piece, from its original city-center location, and has in the process been updated and transformed into a proper modern luxury hotel. Its 44 guest rooms are handsome, and are classic in inspiration but modern in their comforts — the best of both luxury-hotel worlds. Don’t miss the two restaurants, the upscale Casa Julián and the open-air El Jardín." - Tablet Hotels

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. I honestly want to shout out every single person who works at this hotel, but two absolute stars deserve their own spotlight: William and Eduardo.||First of all, I had a fall right outside the hotel (not their fault, just one of those things), and the way the staff treated me was above and beyond anything I expected. William was like an angel in human form. He made sure I had everything I needed—from Band-Aids delivered to my room, to pain relievers brought promptly, to just checking in with genuine kindness. Eduardo at the front desk was also incredible—he went out of his way to help us order food, schedule taxis, and made us feel like VIPs the entire stay.||The room? SPOTLESS. Not just “clean”—luxurious. Every time I returned, it felt like a fresh reset. The pillows were heavenly, the bath drops were soft and indulgent, and every amenity was already provided—no awkward calls asking for things we needed.||Now let’s talk about the food… Chef’s kiss. The ceviche? Unreal. Flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Room service was prompt, and every meal felt like a five-star experience.

My stay at this hotel was excellent! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are breathtaking. 😊 But the food was amazing, too. For me and my family's dinner we got a spot at Casa Julian. The environment was calm, and the food was amazing and high-quality. The breakfast was so delicious. It was a very cultural cuisine with fresh food. I recommend the Coconut juice, too. And after all, I would love to go back there again!!!

This is a lovely hotel in an historic park in Guayaquil. It is in the Samborodon area, which is across a bridge from downtown, with some lovely shopping areas as well as many gated communities and huge riverfront houses. |The hotel has an interesting history from the 19th century but was totally renovated not long ago. The staff at the front desk are happy to tell you the history of the building. The rooms are beautiful and furnished with very tasteful fabrics and touches. The ceilings are very high and the room overall is very spacious. The bathroom does not have double sinks, but it is modern and well equipped. |The hotel gives you plenty of bottled water for drinking and tooth brushing. |We ate in both their restaurants and were pleased with the food. We actually liked the selection at their more casual restaurant more than the fancier restaurant, Casa Julian (which is beautiful). Both restaurants have good service. |The setting of the hotel is gorgeous and the architecture is lovely, with tiles from Portugal in all the outdoor floors, lots of arches, and two lovely courtyards with lush landscaping.

this is my favorite hotel in Guayaquil. This is the 3rd time I've stayed here; this time, for my birthday, I brought my mom along. Thank you, Nestor (ama de llave), who kindly gifted me some chocolates and coconut sweets! Always excited to come back!!||Love the pillows and mattress. Also love working on the lounge, which is open from early hours to late. Breakfast was exquisite, as always. Ate a bunch of salmon!! ||Also worth noting is that the staff in the breakfast area is very helpful (sorry, I can't remember their names)! Looking forward to my next stay already!

Overall I was disappointed during my stay here in April. The gym sucks! No polite way of saying it. The rooms are good. Hotel amenities are average. I would not want to stay here again nor would I recommend it. Security is also a factor: there are not enough security personnel. I would recommend Hilton Colon instead, primarily based on security and it has a proper gym.

The place was very cozy! Very Clean and the service excellent. Manuel, José and Arturo we’re always ahead of our needs and treats! |We were received with a big smile and staff was helpful 24 hours to help us getting medication late at night and concerned for our wellbeing. We surely be back !

The hotel is beautiful and the food was great at the Garden Cafe. Jose did a nice job waiting on our very tired family of 7. Drinks came quickly and we enjoyed the artisan bread. The rooms have the biggest showers I have ever seen. The beds were very comfortable and soft. Thank-you!

Jose and Arturo were lovely and so attentive. The staff is warm, welcoming and delightful. The hotel is beautiful and historic. It feels like you’ve gone back in time to a glamorous age in Ecuadorian history. It felt safe and was truly a wonderful experience for me and the kids.
