Really enjoyed the style of this boutique hotel with the walls displaying the works of local artist Pepe Bornay, mainly painted in red and white. This gave a fresh, comfortable and bright aspect.|| In the bedroom there was a nice touch on arrival, with a welcoming message on the mirror and a couple of cakes.||The staff were great, with helpful advice and prompt with any service requests. The reception staff all spoke perfect English.||There is a small cafe area at the front of the hotel, which is also open to the public. For breakfast you can book the continental option and be guaranteed a table. If there is a table available you can also just have a coffee and choose from the selection of pastries.||The location is ideal, within the old town. The main tourist spots are within walking distance and there are plenty of good quality restaurants nearby.

The location was great, a maximum of 5 minutes to the centre, and there were nice places to eat. Beautiful hotel, with modern art everywhere, helpful, friendly, and great staff who were ready to help with everything.|The rooms were cosy, clean and beautiful. It was very peaceful and quiet in the hotel. Had a TV in our room, and the bathroom had a hair dryer, hand soap and shower gel and shampoo too. |Had a super nice and quiet, almost private breakfast in the morning, we could choose the time that was best for us to have it.|Great choice for a nice stay in the centre!

Hotel del Pilar is a gorgeous artist's hotel, a boutique hotel decorated by its founder José Borney. I received the best of treatment by all employees, especially by Katia in the reception. She was extremely helpful, courteous and professional. She helped me with my bags, my directions in Málaga and always with a smile and good manners. She made me want to come back to Hotel del Pintor on my next stay in Málaga. Thank you, Katia! Thank you, Hotel del Pintor! The location is amazing too. Near the all the attractions in Málaga, at walking distance!

We’ve stayed here a good few times and as always it was a pleasure this time, coming back after a gap of some years. Friendly & welcoming staff, fairly small but comfortable and well-equipped rooms (we specially like the ones at the front opening out above Calle Álamos - the sense of being able to look out on the life of the city outweighs the occasional late night reveller’s noise), excellent sound-proofing and blackout curtains, an attractive sun terrace on the roof, and the hotel’s distinctive decor and colour scheme throughout. They have restarted offering a light breakfast on the ground floor, too, though we still prefer to go out to one of the many cafes on Plaza Merced, just a couple of hundred metres away. And remember it’s often better value to book your stay with the hotel direct. Highly recommended - and very popular too so book early!

Great hotel that is close to the city center. The room was on the main floor so it was loud at times and the light from the main hallway came in but the room and bed were comfortable. Great location as it's very convenient to the city and all tourists attractions.

This is a lovely hotel, perfectly located and only a short walk from all kinds of architectural delights as well as incredible cuisine and culture. Staff were lovely, the hotel was clean, very quiet (I went September) and welcoming. Lovely touch with the welcome pack and message, rooms serviced perfectly. I'd be happy to stay again if I return to this beautiful city.

Google
Hotel with a great location for visiting the sights of Malaga with the cit's shops, bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk away. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and professional providing some nice personal touches to the room on arrival. Some guests have mentioned noise from the street but my room looked out on the inner courtyard and wasn't affected by any noise. As is the case with a lot of Spanish hotels, there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but the quality of the coffee served in reception made up for this.

Yelp
This was a nice little hotel right in the center of Malaga. They have a breakfast option that you can either pay for ahead of time or pay per day. It was nice, you have a few choices and I liked that. The rooms themselves are fine- they even write your name on the mirror! I was there for work so I wasn't very picky. They give you a water jug and the ability to fill it up in the lobby whenever you want. The walls are a little thin and the lights from the hallway does poke through the blinds but it's not terrible. I'd definitely go back.
