The hotel is quite conveniently located, offers decent rooms. The staff is kind and helpful. However, might be noisy in the mornings because of the traffic nearby.

The location is great, there is plenty of parking. I did enjoy listening to the river and the rain at night, which helped me sleep. Speaking of sleep though, the beds are simply awful. Hard, lumpy and with an equally bad pillow. My back ached after each night there. If I have suggestions for them, replace the beds with something way more reasonable. Another concern is security. Considering the doors open to the outside, they need to have more than the flimsy door lock on the door. And finally, better curtains, both for privacy and light reduction.||||Other than that, it was fine, like I mentioned, right on the beautiful Orizaba river walk, and an easy walk to the center of town and to the teliferico. The WiFi isn't so good in the rooms, but not bad in the cafe (which, surprisingly, is not affiliated with the hotel).

Clean and comfortable big rooms for a good price. Don't expect anything fancy. Beds could get new pillows. Staff very friendly. And very good big parking area. Bathroom required maintenance wc was leaking

This hotel is well situated, agreeable staffed, and spotlessly clean. It’s by no means fancy, but the bed was comfotable, and the shower water was hot. Flat screen tvs, parking available. The only two disappointments were the fact that they do not supply bottled water (very odd in Mexico), although the do sell bottles in the lobby; and the fact that the internet was effectively worthless. But hey, for twenty bucks a night, what do you want? I would gladly stay here again

Pros:||-Spacious rooms||-The mattresses are SO comfortable and seem brand new||-Clean||-The tucans on the zoo animal river walk are right next to the hotel, so it sounded like we were in the jungle. (But if you're a very light sleeper, this may not be the hotel for you.)||-Staff at the front desk 24/7.||||Cons:||-The only lock on the door is the push button in the handle. I felt very nervous sleeping without a more secure lock.||-I could not get the hot water to work and ended up taking a cold shower.||-There were only 2 electrical outlets (2-prong) and neither were anywhere near the bed. ||-The area seemed more sketchy than other areas of Orizaba

Hotel del Rio is perfect for people that want to have a simple and clean place to stay to visit the city of Orizaba. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived and we could see they truly enjoy making the visitors feel at home. The rooms are bright and Internet is fast. I recommended it very much, especially for the price.

I spent 2 nights at the Hotel del Rio last month and have a very nice impression of the lodging. It's certainly convenient to city centre and the charming river walk. The rooms are clean and large, ours was quite bright and the staff extremely helpful in providing information about local attractions, directions, etc. ||||There are a few things that weren't...ideal. The wifi is really pretty poor, but that seems to be common throughout central Mexico. The squawking from the birds in the aviaries (and the Great-tailed grackles) is an early-morning problem for those who want to sleep in. There is traffic noise and, as a bus station is just across the river, it can add to the aural distraction. And...the smell of the river when water levels are low can be less than pleasing. ||||Still, I could think of many worse places I've stayed and the proximity to the many city attractions is a real "plus". The price is reasonable, too. I'd stay here again.

Located right on the river walk. Perfect for me and my dog. Clean rooms with all the necessities. People in Orizaba are friendly. The staff were very efficient. I'll be back! Not are how else to make this 200 characters!
