Hotel Demas City

It is my first at Germany and we received a warm welcome from the front desk staff. We arrived early and they tried to accommodate us in checking in early. Unfortunately room wasn’t available but we really do appreciate them for offering us. Room was great for us, couple. Location is great. Walking distance to central train station.

Stayed here for the night when visiting Munich. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main train station, it is close to the centre however the area doesn’t feel the safest, especially at night. When walking down our street there seemed to be a few people lingering about. The staff were friendly on check in and check out and room was clean. Room had everything you needed but no air con so I imagine would be very uncomfortable in the summer, especially as we were facing the street and wouldn’t want to open a window. Not sure I’d stay again as area felt a little unsafe but overall is good walking distance to main centre and train station.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the location offered easy access to the main station. The location, while not in a particularly picturesque part of the city, was absolutely not “dangerous” as others seem to be claiming in their reviews.

We stayed at Hotel Demas for a night. The location was very convenient - close to Munich Hauptbahnhof. There were several bakeries and cafes nearby. There are several worthwhile attractions within walking distance. The staff members at the hotel were responsive and polite and spoke excellent English. The room was small and basic and met our requirement. The shower was somewhat cramped but not a major issue. Breakfast is available at the hotel but we opted to skip it.

We were able to check in early which I appreciated. The hotel is centrally located, but not the best neighborhood. Lots of noise was heard in the room from outside and neighboring rooms. The room and bathroom are quite small. The room was also lacking a deadbolt. Biggest complaint is with the bed: it was hard as a rock and the pillows were somehow worse.

Positive: Staff was nice, location was 5 min from central station. Breakfast was great. Negative: Room was very very small. Bathroom had a slider door with frosted glass which didnt close fully, so no privacy. We told the front desk, but it didnt get fixed(we could have been given a diff room. With grown up kids this was an issue.

I wanted to make a booking from the 1st of January for 3 nights but by mistake I reserved for november 2025 a not refundable fare. I immediatly called the hotel and I spoke with a very rude person explaining the problem and asking for a free cancellation. As we are talking about november 2025 from the 1st to the 4th low season and that I called 1 minute after the reservation I hoped to find comprension. This very unpolite, rude man started to shout " mam" mam" mam" he didn't want to give me his name, and he said that reception leader and manager are on holidays for 15 days. He added that I wanted a not refundable fare, why you booked a refundable fare..This IS NOT THE WAY TO COOPERATE BETWEEN PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER.

Lovely rooms! They provide everything you would need, hairdryer, towels, shampoo/body wash, safe, coffee machine, hangers for clothes, hygiene bags, cups/glasses - it's the little things! The shower was amazing, good pressure and nice and hot. The room also comes with a desk & chair which was great for me working. The bed is comfortable, although it is firm. Other feedback: It would have been nice to have firmer pillows, the ones provided are very thin and didn't do my neck any favours. The location is good, near the city centre, although.... It is an Asian street, close to markets, barbers, restaurants and pole nightclubs.... The very thing that kept us up 2 of the 5 nights we stayed with men shouting and chanting in the street. Overall, it was a comfy stay, the staff were lovely and very helpful! I would stay again if in Munich.

I think the reviews here are outdated and people have not recently given this place a review. I've stayed here for one night so far and it's been a good experience. The staff were super friendly and spoke English when I checked in and they offered recommendations for restaurants. I also liked that this hotel is super close to the main train station. It's very close to the city center as well and hence why I chose this hotel specifically. The room is pretty basic but it's clean and the bed was comfortable and it was not very noisy at all. It's just a good place to rest honestly

Convenient location, but staff was unhelpful and one lady even refused to give us her name. We requested a pedestal fan for our room as it did not have A/C, and were not given one. Location was a little bit shady, but it was near the central Munich train station. Overall unsatisfied...

We did as much research to where we can stay and have easily access by walking to marienplatz. The convenience was important to us, as we wanted to do some local excursions too. The hotel location was great. It was convenient that the hotel had parking, but beware as it is a challenge for bigger cars to park, it is limited with space and its a test of how great of a driver you are. The concierge was helpful and friendly. We also loved our service during our buffet breakfast. The food for breakfast was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay there and we are definitely coming back!
