Hotel located short walk (12mins) to Marienplatz Christmas Market and old town. And about 15mins from Karksplatz train station from international airport. Cobblestone route to hotel dragging 20kg luggages not easy. Room is basic, clean, bright and comfortable. Good they have heaters in room & bathrooms. We had to loan a hot water kettle for refundable deposit of €10 - needed hot drinks at night n mornings. Elevator made it easy to bring up heavy luggages unlike other hotels that don't have this. Few small food outlets and grocery shops are on this side street. 5 mins out on main street will have more choices. Good stay.

Beats all expectations! The bedroom is super clean and the toilet, tidy to the most impeccable eyes. They have spritz water and coffee maker free in each room and a handful book of the bible. You can even ask the front desk to help to send the postcard to any country at very affordable cost.

Room is good, worth with all penny. Staff is really nice. Everything in the room is usable, no any damage. The area is nearly by tourist attraction and Munich HB. and you just need to walk by stay on the main road, So you will not feel any danger from the bar around there.Because they will be in the alleys

Rude staff. Spoke badly and made assumptions about me and my travelling companions because they assumed I did not understand German. I do not recommend staying in this hotel if you are not German, their staff will literally mumble or say unpleasant things in front of your face if they think you don't understand German. I booked a triple bed room and two double rooms for 6 people instead of 7 people on Agoda by accident. During check in, a dark haired woman (receptionist) informed me of my mistake and told me that it would cost an additional 19 euro per night to accommodate the extra person, which would not have been a problem in itself. However, my sister said that she would sleep with her friend who stays in Munich. So we did not require the extra bed, but despite me asking for her to wait while we discussed what to do she immediately called her staff and asked them to prepare an extra bed. When I told her the bed would not be required, she got back on the phone with her colleague and told them to remove the entire bed from the triple bed room because she said that we would all (8 people in total) try to sleep in the 3 rooms and not pay the fee for additional beds. I do not understand the hostility over an honest mistake. The price difference on agoda would have been literally 10 euros for the entire stay. After spending more than 900 euros, does it make sense that I would try to cheat your hotel of 10 euros? When I checked in again in the evening for the other rooms, I was served by another staff member, a blonde woman who was thoroughly unpleasant. I told her that we have reconsidered and would like the sofa bed (which was in the description for the triple bed room) to be made up into a bed, and we would pay any additional costs involved. She insisted that they have not prepared a room with a sofa bed for us because we were only entitled to a double bed because we booked the room for 2 people instead of 3. She asked me why I needed an extra bed. Obviously that's up to me! What business is it of hers why I needed the extra bed. Then why did I pay extra for the triple bed room to receive the exact same room as the other two double rooms? When I mentioned that her colleague had quoted me a fee of 19 euros per night, she seemed perplexed and told me she needed clarification from her colleague. In the end, she charged me 19 euros for 3 nights. There was no standardized pricing and these people were just making the fees up as they go. The staff of this hotel had no intention of dealing with us in good faith. How can you advertise a triple bed room (a double bed and a sofa bed) but insist that I am not entitled to a sofa bed because I booked the room for 2 people instead of 3? The other staff were pleasant and polite. I do not know whether the two aforementioned staff are rude all the time or if their poor treatment could be attributed to racism as me and my traveling companions are Asian. If we didn't understand German, we would have no idea that they were making unpleasant assumptions about us in German right in front of our faces. I do not recommend staying in this hotel if you are not German, their staff will literally mumble or say unpleasant things in front of your face if they think you don't understand German.

Hotel Demas City was a great home base for my day and a half in Munich. A 10 minute walk to the train station, about 15 to the Old City area. Lots of dining available nearby. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good if you opt for that.

In the city center, on a noisy street with lots Arabic businesses and men’s clubs. The parking is 19eur/night and requires great driving abilities to use the elevators and ramp. The room is clean. There is a sliding glass door on the bathroom that lacks on privacy. AC and Breakfast not included.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Demas München City; it really hits the sweet spot between comfort, convenience, and location. We stayed in the junior suite with a terrace, which gave us extra space and a nice outdoor area to enjoy the city air. The room was clean, modern, and quiet; even though the hotel is centrally located, the soundproofing worked well so we could relax without disturbance. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the start, always ready with directions or local tips. The hotel is fairly close to many of Munich’s main activities and attractions, just about a 5–10 minute walk to Munich Central Station and not far from Marienplatz and Karlsplatz. That said, the street itself wasn’t all that charming, but the convenience of being near the city center made up for it. Breakfast was okay! it covered the basics like breads, eggs, cold cuts, fruit, and yoghurt, enough for a simple start to the day. The only small issue we noticed was that the bathroom sink drained slowly, but it didn’t affect our overall positive impression. When it comes to the price, it felt a little high for a 3-star property. Since we’ve visited Munich before and stayed in some 4-star hotels that offered more value and were located closer to Marienplatz, we couldn’t help but notice the difference. However, because this trip was right before Oktoberfest, all the 4-star hotels we looked at were already fully booked, so Hotel Demas München City ended up being one of the better available choices. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and we would gladly consider staying here again.

Really nice hotel located very close to the BHF which made getting around so easy. Staff were also very friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

Yelp
I think the reviews here are outdated and people have not recently given this place a review. I've stayed here for one night so far and it's been a good experience. The staff were super friendly and spoke English when I checked in and they offered recommendations for restaurants. I also liked that this hotel is super close to the main train station. It's very close to the city center as well and hence why I chose this hotel specifically. The room is pretty basic but it's clean and the bed was comfortable and it was not very noisy at all. It's just a good place to rest honestly

Yelp
Convenient location, but staff was unhelpful and one lady even refused to give us her name. We requested a pedestal fan for our room as it did not have A/C, and were not given one. Location was a little bit shady, but it was near the central Munich train station. Overall unsatisfied...

Yelp
We did as much research to where we can stay and have easily access by walking to marienplatz. The convenience was important to us, as we wanted to do some local excursions too. The hotel location was great. It was convenient that the hotel had parking, but beware as it is a challenge for bigger cars to park, it is limited with space and its a test of how great of a driver you are. The concierge was helpful and friendly. We also loved our service during our buffet breakfast. The food for breakfast was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay there and we are definitely coming back!
