The hotel is situated about a 15-20 minute walk from Marienplatz, which is decent but not the most convenient. There aren’t many restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so be prepared to walk a bit for meals or snacks.
The breakfast was decent for the price of the room—nothing extravagant, but good enough to start the day.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful. They allowed luggage storage on the first floor and even provided a lock to secure belongings, which was a nice touch.
Rooms were a reasonable size and generally clean, though I did find some stray hairs on the bed. One thing to note is that there’s no air conditioning—just an electric fan—so it might get warm in the summer.
Hotel Demas is a budget-friendly option in Munich. If you’re looking to save money and don’t mind the walk to the city center, it’s a fair choice. However, if you have a bigger budget, staying closer to Marienplatz would be more convenient.
