Hotel Derby

Overall, the staff at PP were good, pleasant, and friendly. However, my recent experience with Interlaken - Hotel Derby (3-star). After a long train and bus ride, we arrived at Hotel Derby in Interlaken only to discover there was no lift. Our room (family room) was located on the 3rd floor, and there’s no one to assist with the bags. Furthermore, there was no toilet in the room; we were directed to an external toilet (claimed to be private along the hallway) quite inconvenient for family. The room is spacious and they are located about 10 mins walk to all eateries / shopping area. Besides them there’s a Thai Therapy Massage. Must give it a try as those ladies are very good at what they do. Hotel breakfast basic staff. After 9 there’s no receptionist on duty.

A charming small hotel situated in a quiet street around 8 min from Interlaken West station by foot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, single room is quite small, but it is comfortable and has air conditioning, plus TV with many channels and a decent size shower cubicle. The bed was lovely. Breakfast choices are a little limited, no hot selection but there are cold eggs/meat/cheeses and cereals. Enough to kick start the day. I would be happy to return again.

It is more of a home stay rather than a hotel.|Breakfast is average. Rooms are fine. Location is 15 min walk from Interlaken west station. If you want to use only for sleep after a tiring day, it's an option. |Good thing is they allow to use pantry in their backyard for food heating.|

Wonderful spot, found the front-desk particularly lovely (although a bit understaffed), and fair pricing for Interlaken. Rated three stars because I booked same day but faced some significant trip interruptions. While the front-desk was super accommodating and was willing to refund the night I missed, the owner later reneged. If there is a risk of trip complexity, you may want to look elsewhere.

Hotel Derby is cozy and feels like home. Staff are polite. The setup of the room fits traveler's needs. There is a garden and garden house which provides microwave and hot water. And they have a cat named Daisy, which is an exceptionally adorable cat to have as your accompany in this hotel.

I had selected this hotel after reading some very good reviews on Google and also based on recommendations on some youtube channels during my research. I completely agree with the reviews and recommendations. This is a nice cozy hotel at a 8-10 min walk from Interlaken West train station and about a 20 mins walk from Interlaken Ost train station. The room (including the bathroom) was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel staff was very helpful and they instantly made me feel at home. I got all instructions during check-in and also some suggestions on my request. I had also emailed them a few queries before my stay and they promptly sent me all replies which helped me a lot in planning my trip. During my 3 night stay at the hotel, I had most of my interactions with Kathrin and she is one of the sweetest ladies I have met till now 😊. The hotel has a good wifi connection. Each room also has a Tablet which you can either use to get information about pre-selected travel destinations in the area or to surf the internet to make your own travel plans / bookings etc. The upper floors of the hotel are accessible only by stairs, so if you are bringing big heavy bags, you will have to carry them upstairs yourselves, or maybe you can check with them in advance if they can reserve a room on the ground floor for you. The tariff also included breakfast which was a decent selection of breads, cheese, cold cuts, coffee, milk, yogurt, fruits etc which ensured your stomach remained full for the next few hours. Since I had booked directly with the hotel, they sent me a digital Interlaken travel card in advance, so that I could use it from the 1st day of my stay in Interlaken. Overall I had very good experience at this hotel and I will definitely like to stay here again.

A bit distance from Interlaken West station. But very close if you play Paragliding. Room was small. Staff was friendly and introduced near bus station, which was very nice.

Good hotel which is very near the station. Staff is friendly in explaining everything like city card and the map. This price including breakfast is fair.
