Hôtel des Alpes

A perfect place to stay for our few days in Annecy. Literally a 5 min walk from train station yet a very quiet neighborhood. We were SO thankful for the air conditioning!! We had the family suite for 3 of us it was perfect - actually quite roomy for a European hotel. Old town was just a few blocks away. Lots of amenities close by. A perfect location to walk everywhere, even to the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

A central location, convenient to transport, parking and the old town. Comprehensive breakfast. Effective air-conditioning, decent bed, bathroom and sound proofing. Friendly staff. No complaints, except maybe the under-filled pillows. A very intimate lift, just for one person and their favourite piece of luggage!

The hotel and the rooms are small but very nice. The air conditioning worked very well. Unfortunately the beds were very hard. You can easily walk to the old town and lake. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

In a good location close to the old town. Disappointingly the photos don’t reflect the rooms we stayed in which were basic and in need of redecoration. They obviously have one showroom and the rest of the hotel is in need of an update! The ensuites were good with modern decor and showers.

We had two nice days in Annecy and were glad we chose to stay at Hotel des Alpes. We stayed in a family room, which were big enough for two adults and three teenagers. However, the additional room could have had aircondition or a fan, because it became too hot in warm nights.

The hotel is centrally located and right opposite to the Annecy station. Short walk to old town. Room is clean and air conditioned! Staff is helpful and hotel looks recently renovated. All these made our short stay in Annecy enjoyable.

For a 2-star hotel, this place was wonderful for our family of 3. Great location, clean, friendly staff, cute rooms, modern bathrooms, and very cool tube elevator. Annecy is an awesome town so definitely recommend this quaint, cozy hotel when visiting.

This newly-renovated hotel, right at the center of the city (2min to the train station, 3min to the city center, 10min to the lake) made our stay in Annecy very memorable. Kind staff, easy check-in and check-out processes, the possibility to store your luggage at the hotel and extremely comfy, clean and carefully decorated rooms afded to this great experience. À la prochaine fois !

Two star hotel located close to Gare d'Annecy. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Also a bike friendly hotel with room to store in their basement. Lovely breakfast too. Fourth floor rooms have a sort of air conditioning. Lower level rooms have fans. Rooms are small but perfect for single travelers and groups of bikers ( as we were).

Stayed here as part of a conference trip; hotel has no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up or ask the staff for help (they will help you!). Rooms are small and there is no air conditioning but there is a fan in the room to help you cool down. Annecy isn't terribly hot but some nights were warm so the fan helps. Stayed in a standard double room (much smaller than expected) -- the only warning I have is that the shower is small: I kept smashing my elbows while using it. Breakfast is buffet-style, just your usual selections of hams and cheeses, fruits, yogurt, cereal, baguette/bread/etc. They also give you a croissant (very, very good) when you come down and tell them your room number. Since the hotel is very small (only 35 rooms or so), there is no dry cleaning service nor dinner service, so you will need to go out to grab a bite. The hotel is walking distance into the old town, so the location is great and it is right across from the main train station in Annecy. Staff are friendly and have a very good memory (I was surprised they always remembered my room number). Overall, a good stay.
