This is a cute boutique hotel in a great location, overlooking the lake and the covered bridge. We had one of the better rooms, on the first floor, facing the lake, with a balcony. It would have been great if the weather had cooperated, but it was 90 F, 30 C every day during our stay. The hotel is not air conditioned. The room has doors that open onto the balconey, but no other windows so even with them open air does not circulate. There are also no screens so the open doors allow not only air but insects into the room. The room had a single cheap fan. We asked for and were given a second, but even with both running it hardly made any difference at all. The room did tend to finally cool down after midnight, but was mostly unihabitable during the greater part of the day and evening. |Otherwise we probably would have liked it. The staff were nice. The room is small but clean. The bed was comfortable. We were given some credits for the restaurant on the ground floor. We ate breakfast and dinner there and enjoyed our meals. Bottom line, I would consider staying again in late fall, winter, or early spring, but not again in June and certainly not in July or August
