Hotel des Ardennes

Good Location. I wanted a place near to the station, the town centre for a meal and the venue for a live music event on the night of my stay. This ticked all boxes. Friendly, welcoming staff who showed me the keys and where the bathroom and room were. Beware this isn't a modern building and retains the character of the stairs, high ceilings etc. My room was the lowest priced one. Room was perfectly good for a nights stay and matched the description perfectly. Bathroom on the floor below was good. A nice hot shower and towels provided. Value was particularly good and the need to use a bathroom on a different floor wasn't an issue again for a one night's stay. The only slight nag was perhaps the time for the lights to stay on the timer switches could be a bit longer. They often went out in the time it took to get from one floor to the next.

Great value hotel with parking. Maggy the hostess is delightful. Breakfast good value

Good value. Excellent licationby the station abd with a private car park. Note that the bar/bistro closes at 7pm so don't be surprised if door locked when you arrive. Basic but very clean, very comfortable rooms. Good WiFi, choice of TV channels including Prime etc... superb host in Maggy with a great breakfast....

This is a local gem of a hotel. Overlooking Verviers Rail Station. Even though it is in the centre of town the rooms were quiet for a quality night's sleep. The Cafe Bar and Rooms are comfortably and classically furnished, with lots of nice modern touches. We were provided with a positive welcoming experience. The beds and bathrooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Famous Belgian Beverages are available, and the breakfast was very pleasant. Will gladly visit again.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel des Ardennes, it has a good location close to train station and somewhat in the center of the city, they have a private parking which is an advantage if you travel by car. They also have a little brasserie but I haven’t had a chance to try. The breakfast could be a bit better, though the waffles were pretty good. The rooms were clean and even bigger than at some 3 or even 4* hotels

Perfect! We stayed for 1 night, after hiking in the Ardennes; the staff was very nice! Rooms were tidy and clean & had their own toilet and shower, which were also clean. The breakfast was not to special, but fresh, made with care & delicious. Definitely going back here!

Friendly Staff (employees and owner). Beautiful room. Cosy Brasserie with a lot of Beer and rich breakfast in the Morning. Highly recommend! We stayed one night and we loved it!

Stayed at Hotel Des Ardennes for 2 nights in a double room with shared bathroom. €110 + €8 each each day for breakfast.|Good location in Verviers right beside the train station. Easy access to the town centre. Plenty of eating/drinking facilities/supermarkets within walking distance including a mcDonald's a 10 min walk away.|Check in was straightforward at 2pm. Room was located on the first floor room 1. Double room was actually 2 single beds. Room was a decent size, clean, with a sink, hairdryer, Tv (although please remember ALL channels are in French so not of much use to those who don't speak the language). However Good free wifi connection! Also a coffee pod machine & clean towels. Only 2 coffee pods & 2 sugars offered. TBH being English I would of preferred a kettle so that I could of bought tea & coffee to use. We never got the coffee machine to work even after googling how lol.|Outside the room was a toilet that was clean & 2 showers located on the 2nd floor. Showers were clean & hot. My only complaint is that they're not fixed to the wall so you have to hold the shower head.|Beds were extremely comfortable!|We decided to take breakfast at check in at the price of €8 each person each day. Very basic small buffet style breakfast of muesli, rolls, cheese & ham, a few hard boiled eggs & a Small selection of pastries, orange juice & coffee. In hindsight I probably wouldn't of as the price is quite high for the selection.|Staff were pleasant & nice.|All in all this is a basic but clean hotel to stay in & I would stay here again.
