I stayed here on a Jet2 City Break and would definitely stay there again. It was a great experience from walking in the door amd getting a great welcome from Christine on the desk. She gave me lots of helpful tips and a very useful map of the city. The location was good for me as I arrived at Termini on the train from Fiumicino airport and around the corner is the Castro Pretorio Metro stop so I dumped my stuff and headed straight to the Colosseum on the first day! I didn't go too far at night and had some nice meals in the locality and there was a good shop close by to get wine and snacks. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace and people took their own drinks and snacks up there and it was a great place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. The room was nice and cool despite the hot weather and had air con and a balcony. The bed was comfy and everything was clean and of a high standard. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower. There was tea amd coffee and a kettle. I did not take breakfast in the hotel so cannot comment on that. Thanks for a brilliant first visit to mainland Italy and hope to be back! (I threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain so it should happen!

We stayed here at the start of December, if we ever come back to Rome we wouldn’t hesitate about staying here again. Great location, a short walk from the Termini train station, a shorter walk to the nearest metro stop. Lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was a good size and toilet/shower facilities were spot on. Room cleaned each day. Staff all pleasant and accommodating. Thank you!

I stayed at this hotel in October and returned again in early November. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and professional on both visits. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the location felt safe and very convenient. Truly appreciate the team’s hard work—thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

Just got back from a week's stay here and it was fantastic. Hotel is lovely, clean and comfortable. The shower was particularly excellent. Room has a fridge too which is really useful. We opted for breakfast, which was plentiful and decent for the price. The location is great, less than 10 mins walk to Termini station, 2 minutes from a metro stop, and a bus stop on the next street. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was some light construction noise, expect there are some room upgrades going on, but it was in the daytime and not disturbing. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel room I stayed in was very clean and the bathroom was well maintained. The shower is roomy enough for a larger person. My room was decorated nicely with wood paneling and attrabctive artwork. Is One reviewer mentioned a grocery store is very close by and your close to two Metro stations at Termini station and an even closer station at Castro Praetorio. The women that work the front desk in the mornings are extremely helpful regarding how to navigate Rome and how to get to major attractions.

Hi there, we have just returned home after a lovely weekend spent in Rome. We stayed at this hotel and could not of chosen better. From the greeting upon on arrival, to the lovely suprise they had took the time to prepare at our request and payment in our room to celebrate our grandsons 18th and my wifes Birthday. The room itself was beautiful and the bathroom was outstanding. We also ate breakfast at the hotel and it was simple but plentyful. |The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from Termini Station.

We book this hotel straight on their website and reservation process was simple and everything works just fine. Hotel room was super clean and towels were changed every day if you wanted it. There was no noise on night time, which was also great. Good service and nice reception personel. I can really recommend this place for every one.

Hotel Des Artistes Roma served as a base for our father/son whistle-stop tour of Rome. The location in a quiet, safe if unassuming area under ten minutes walk from Termini station, put it within easy reach of many top attractions, in fact there was nowhere in the city that we wanted to go that couldn't be managed on foot, which suited us brilliantly. ||Our fourth floor room was comfortable rather than showy, always clean and well provisioned, and met our needs well, and there was a lift available if we were tired or in a hurry. The desk staff were helpful and attentive whenever we had questions, and when I needed a taxi at short notice they had called one within seconds, in fact it was at the door waiting for us inside two minutes.||The breakfast room stood out, with good, simple fresh fare that set us up well for long days on our feet. Good all round, the fresh fruit deserves special mention, and a varied selection of cakes would keep any sweet tooth happy. More than anything, I want to commend the breakfast staff not just for the presentation, but for the outstanding way they kept the breakfast rooms, crockery and utensils, which was absolutely the cleanest i can ever remember seeing anywhere. Flawless.||Outside the hotel, there were good, affordable dining options within a shortish walk, including a lovely, inexpensive family run trattoria on the adjacent street, Via Pallestro. Also within several minutes walk were a couple of decent supermarkets, our favourite on the north side of Piazza dell'Independenza, handy for bottled water and all manner of stuff one might need.

Yelp
We stayed here while visiting Rome. We had a clean, though dated room, with our own bathroom. The room was standard European, not much extra room besides the bed and a desk, but we didn't plan to spend too much time in the room and it was sufficient for our needs. AC worked well, which was important for the 90 degree August days. We opted to spend extra to include the breakfast and were glad we did. It was a pretty typical European breakfast. They had cereal, apples, coffee, hard boiled eggs, lunch meat and cheese, fresh croissants and pastries, and pies, in addition to some scrambled eggs. It was a good way for us to start our day, and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests. The location was good, right around the corner from a metro stop, and about a 10 minute walk from Termini station which was great for us after we flew into Rome as there is an express train from the airport to Termini, and when we headed off to Florence. The staff was friendly, the price was reasonable, and location was good for us, all in all worth checking out for a trip to Rome.

Yelp
I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Hotel des Artistes! My friends and I had intended to book three beds in a shared room, but accidentally ended up booking one bed in a three-bed room instead. When we arrived I think our mistake was obvious almost immediately to Daniel at the front desk, but he was very patient as we pieced it together ourselves. He then went out of his way to explain our options (even going so far as to tell us about other hostels in the area, if we wanted to compare prices), then helped us book another room for two of us to stay in (it ended up being the best and cheapest option by far). Daniel's kind and lighthearted demeanor made what could have been a very stressful situation almost feel fun. The rooms we stayed in were very clean and spacious enough for the three of us, as we spent most of the day out and about. I had never stayed in a hostel with a shared bathroom before, and was a little nervous, but ultimately my concerns were unfounded. There were several bathrooms on our floor--all of which were always extremely clean! The rooftop terrace was also gorgeous and well-maintained and was a great place to relax after a long day and take in the city. At the end of our trip, Daniel also helped us arrange for a (very) early-morning taxi, which made our trip to the airport stress-free. I would highly recommend staying here. You won't find better staff anywhere else!

Yelp
One of the things you have to get used to when traveling around Europe, is fairly high hotel fees - we paid 174 EUR for 2 nights (about 225 USD), in the low-season. Yes the hotel was clean, but it was fairly old, with older furnishings and was not in the best neighborhood (near the train station). If you are on a budget this place is good enough as it allows you to access the train station/metro as well as buses, however, with that said, if I were going back to Rome, I would probably venture to try another place in another location.

Yelp
I give it a four because of locations. But you pay more their hotel taxes and you pay for WiFi. The room is nice though. You have to pay for breakfast. All and all and ok place just to stay near the terminal station. Which enabled us to see these beautiful iconic sculptures and art.

Yelp
This hotel was near the terminal which was a plus because you could get to all the historic places rather quickly whether it was by metro/bus/taxi. Wifi you have to pay extra 2 euros a day or 5 euros for a week. Internet connection was not great. Breakfast was served between 7 am- 10 am the earlier you get there the greater the selection. The rooms were clean, we stayed in room 105 and it faced the bar across the street. Very noisy at night. This is a hostel as well. Luckily we had our own bathroom inside of our room which was great. BUT at night you could hear everything from the younger people yelling, slamming doors at 2 am and etc.

Yelp
I stayed here for 2 nights. Other than location (close to Rome terminal and subway), nothing about this place stand out that much. I stayed here as a hostel rather than a hotel. So I shared with 4 other people. Nothing in the kitchen, you can't store thing since it share with all the other rooms. Bathroom was clean wish they had some hook to hang clothes. Overall it was ok, I would stay only if I have an other short trip in Rome, and need some place that is easy to travel to and from.

Yelp
My husband & I went on a two-week long European honeymoon on a budget & stayed here. I found Hostel des Artistes on hostelworld.com & couldn't have been happier with my selection. Yes, we had to share a shower and toilet with 2 other rooms, but we never had a problem or wait. There are multiple shower/toilet rooms on the floor so if the closest one was occupied, we just went to another. There is a sink & mirror in the room as well. One of the things my husband had to adjust to while on our honeymoon was the pillow situation. Unlike American hotels, the hotels where we stayed only provide one pillow per person. He fashioned an extra pilllow out of a blanket but was elated when housekeeping saw his "pillow" and provided him with an extra. Seriously, he loved it. The staff was incredibly helpful at check-in providing us with a map that we used for our entire stay. The hotel is close to the Termini station, the metro, and many, many good restaurants. If we ever travel to Rome again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here!

Yelp
Hotel is clean, great location. One problem: noise from other rooms, because the walls are very thin and very poor sound insulation. :( You can hear everything what going on in the hotel and behind the wall

Yelp
we are staying here at the moment, the hotel is lovely, clean and the staff are very pleasant & helpful, with a great breakfast selection, lovely room, and also a good wi-fi connection at a very low cost! we are close to all the transport and there are plenty of restaurants and snack/coffee bars close by, also some small shops. this hotel is very reasonable priced and there is also a safe free of charge in every room, huge colour T.V and towels changed daily if you wish also maid service what more can you want!!!
