This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in a major city and it lives up to everything it promises.|From check in to check out the whole experience was fantastic.||Location - This is small boutique style hotel in the heart of Montmartre Paris. Dozens of cafes, restaurant's, & bars right on the doorstep.| |Rooms - were small ( as you would expect in Paris) but completely adequate for a stay. They were immaculately clean. In the room was a safe which was free of charge to use, a coffee machine and water. The bathroom was nice with complimentary good toiletries. Beds were comfortable and the linen and bedding is good quality.||Food - Breakfast was available at the hotel however we didn't eat due to the vast choices in the area. The hotel offers free of charge soft drinks, coffee etc at certain times of the day and also alcoholic drinks ( chargeable) ||Staff and Service - Absolutely fantastic. On arrival we were offered help for throughout the trip, offered a drink straight away and given all instructions needed for our stay. Nothing was too much to ask. On the morning we departed we were offered a free coffee while we waited for our taxi. The staff seemed genuinely interested in making every part of your staff as best they could.||Overall an absolutely excellent stay and we would 100% recommend to anyone looking to go to Paris. We loved every minute and will definitely return without a doubt.

Cute little hotel with unique designs in a prime area. I had a night’s layover and I was happy I chose this hotel. Priced right. Clean. Very friendly front desk (even got a cute souvenir on my way out). I was able to walk at night and felt relatively safe. Mind you it was Sunday night and I still found open options nearby. The extra bonus was the super cute balcony (see video). My only comment would be the elevator was super small, but didn’t matter for a party of 1.

I cannot say strongly enough what a terrific place this is. The location in Montmartre makes it a perfect spot away from all the city center hustle and bustle and ensconces you in a real 'village' feel. Great little cafes, food shops, bakeries, and other goods are abundant. A short walk to two different Metro stations; a laundry mat is just around the corner. While small by American standards, the rooms are clean and comfortable (and three cheers for an elevator to get us up to our room on a higher floor). Beautifully decorated all around. Best part? the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. Christophe was a particular favorite of ours, and his cafe recommendations were absolutely spot on. Whenever we go back to Paris, we'll be staying there! THANK YOU, HOTEL DES ARTS-MONTMARTRE TEAM!

Google
Great hotel. The staff were super helpful provided me with a travel adapter and a toothbrush when I forgot mine. The rooms were small (but certainly enough room) but great for someone who doesn’t want to spend too much time in their room. The bed very comfortable and the room quiet (I wasn’t disturbed at night). Bathroom again small but had enough space from a bath/shower. Breakfast was nice - the only thing that might be considered is the ability to cook fresh scrambled eggs and bacon (rather than being pre-made) but the variety was good. Will definitely come back if you have space. Thank you!

Warm welcome from the staff on our arrival. Reception desk staff helpful and nothing too much. ||Gorgeously furnished reception, boutique style and very cozy.||Room was the same, lovely size, balcony, with lots of personal touches including coffee machine, kettle, tea/coffee etc. ||Lovely toiletries in the bathroom including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. ||Tea/coffee/soft drinks available in reception along with snacks to help yourself to.||Positioned on a side street, a 10 second walk to a bustling village feel area. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants within this area. Area also felt safe. ||We didn’t use the metro, which I believe was nearby too.

Lovely hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy. Good view from the window of the rooms as well. Among all, superb service from the staff. Special thanks to Alessandra for her kind assistance to us! Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a heartwarming stay in Paris.

Google
Small boutique hotel. Clean rooms with all desired amenities. The elevator is somewhat small but that’s part of the charm. The rooms are generally quiet but at moments you can hear people in the hallway or in other rooms. The service is what sets this place apart- everyone I encountered was kind and went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will continue to stay here for future visits.

We found the hotel to be in a great location, very beautiful and clean; but even better was the staff! Jose greeted us the first night and allowed us to view room before booking. Christophe was there to greet us the first night we stayed and was so kind and patient with us, answering all our questions with obvious good heartedness and just a genuine love to help! Thank you for making our time that much better!!!!

Yelp
Located in Montmartre this smaller Hotel is just steps up the hill from Rue Lepic where you can find some amazing restaurants. We arrived around 1 and our room wasn't ready so we went down the hill and had an excellent Brunch at Bibiche (recommended by the hotel). Check in was seamless where we received a nice list of places to eat and things to do in the area. We had a Superior Room with a Double Bed. Also, had a refillable water bottle in the room. Breakfast was available and we enjoyed the Honesty Bar. Coffee and soft drinks were complimentary with reasonable prices for wine and champagne. I used the Exercise room which was ok. A Treadmill and a couple of Cycles as well some Bands and hand weights. They do have a Steam room/ Hammam which needs to be booked and there is a charge. Location, Location-Moulin Rouge is just steps down the hill as well Sacre Coeur is about a 10 minute walk. & if staying on a Sunday, there is a second hand market at the bottom of the hill close to Moulin Rouge. Taxi/Uber were, for the most part, easy to get from here but plan for a longer wait and longer travel time during rush hour. Especially with Olympics coming in June. We got a bag as a gift when we checked out which was a nice touch. Alessandra, Romuald and Christophe took great care of us and made us feel at home. Will definitely return.

Yelp
I stayed in March 2023. It's a charming hotel. However there was a problem with the bathtub in the room I stayed in. It was dangerous because the bottom of the tub was several inches higher than the floor, so when you tried to get out it was alarming, especially since there was nothing to hold onto except what appeared to be a fairly fragile glass pane attached to the top edge of the tub. One misstep and you could get hurt. Not a safe option for older travelers. Now, this isn't obvious until you use the tub - so the problem is likely to go unnoticed by inspectors. All the more reason for travelers to warn each other about such things. When I mentioned the tub situation on a different review app, a woman at the hotel contacted my daughter who was traveling with me, to complain to her about my review. The woman said I should have asked for a different room - but the issue is not about me, it's about them having a hard-to-notice but very real safety hazard. Which I wanted to warn other travelers about. I still can't believe she contacted my daughter over a review on a website. She could have politely said they would look into it, (although I doubt they would) or even thank me for bringing it to their attention, but instead I felt intimidated into taking my review down. Next time I stay in Paris I'll stay at a large chain hotel - this was much too personal for my taste.

Yelp
One of the best hotels I've stayed at and we enjoyed every bit of it. We spent 3 nights here and due to the brutal cold, we stayed in for most of our trip. It gave me the chance to explore the hotel which was intriguing. Our room was exceptional in spite of it being small. We had a balcony which had a great view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is within walking distance from many hot spots especially one of the best crèpe locations. I still dream about that crèpe. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants somewhere convenient but cost-effective.

Yelp
The Location: Metro #2, Exit "Blanche" and Metro #12, Exit "Abbesses" 5 minutes walk to both metro stations. Many stores and restaurants nearby the hotel, super convenient! The staffs are all super friendly and helpful. They have maps, give great directions and suggestion where to sightseeing. The room and bathroom is smaller than the hotels in USA. There is no refrigerator inside the room. There is safe in the room. The room is clean and housekeeping does a good job! The elevator is super tiny, maybe only can fit one person & one luggage. It is a old hotel but it definitely has it's own character, I like it! There is a dining room in the basement. They have continental breakfast for 12 euro. After 1pm, the coffee machine is FREE to hotel guests!!

Yelp
This place came to me on recommendation and was a great experience. Located in Montmartre a small distance from Sacré Cœur, the hotel was hidden away amongst shops and galleries. Arrived a little after checkin time of 1500 and were greeted cheerily in French, and then again in English. They checked our passports, gave us our room keys and sent us up the tiny elevator to an adorable room. Each elevator door per floor had hand painted artwork on it, which was amazing. Downstairs from the reception area was a small dining area which contained croissants, assorted breads, meats, cheeses, jellies/jams, a coffee machine and a couple other goodies. We paid for an included breakfast with our stay, and I would highly recommend doing so as well. Having FRESH croissants and chocolate filled pastries, an assortment of charcuterie style accompaniments and coffee/hot chocolate/juices was a great way to save money in the mornings and enjoy a filling breakfast. Reception also offered us some suggestions on places to see or eat at upon asking, all of which panned out for a great experience. Checkout was super easy and they offered to hold our baggage while we explored around before leaving the city. Something to be aware of is that they split the payment for the room, so you pay the majority upon checkin and the rest on checkout. They also called a taxi for us to get to our required station. Breakdown: Food-5/5, Room Decor-5/5, Location-5/5, Service-5/5. Definitely a wonderful experience, would stay here again.

Yelp
Great place to stay in a wonderful neighborhood. Not large (no place we stay is!) but ample space in rooms with clean, modern bathrooms, and comfortable dining & sitting areas downstairs. Staff is outstanding; friendly, professional & helpful. Great value. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Really small rooms and simple accommodations, but has everything you'd need. Everyone working at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us advice on restaurants, transportation, and even calling attractions to get information for us. It's the small things that make a huge difference, and we really appreciate the attention we were given. Great location, right across the street from a theater, with several shops, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. The Metro is about a 5 minutes walk, but it never felt like a chore. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a lovely little hotel close to the Sacre Cœur and right down the road from the Moulin Rouge. We stayed for a few nights and had a twin room. It was very clean and well maintained with comfortable but very short beds. If you're over 1.80m, you might have trouble sleeping in the twin beds! Breakfast is quite expensive but optional, we opted to eat elsewhere. They do have free drinks downstairs in the afternoon though and you can relax in the little breakfast room. Very friendly staff, it was an overall very pleasant experience.

Yelp
Cozy room for a great value in a superb location! I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, and the location was superb. It was just steps away from Moulin Rouge and Sacré-Cœur. The neighborhood is lively and very Parisian. From the Blanche metro stop, you'll pass by the beloved Café des Deux Moulins, which is the famous café from the movie Amélie.

Yelp
I was pleased with our stay here in December 2014. The room was small, but we rarely spent much time in the room. It was nice to have a fully enclosed shower and the water pressure was excellent. The only downside is that the room next to us was being remodeled and they started early in the morning. When trying to get over jetlag it was a bit difficult to be woken up. I had no problems with the staff and they were helpful when we needed a taxi, directions, or suggestions. The location was perfect to tour Montmartre and had easy access to the Metro. I'd stay here again without pause.

Yelp
This was my 7th trip to Paris, but the first time I'd stayed in Montmartre (which is a lovely arrondissement - I'd definitely stay in this part of town again...but in a different hotel). Clearly this hotel has gotten a lot of positive feedback so I think it meets the needs of a certain group of travelers...a group that I do not belong in. I prefer hotels that do not have mold growing in the shower; towels that are less than threadbare and a staff that at least pretends to be helpful. Typically, I book my hotel at least a month in advance and I contact the concierge to work out some dinner reservations. In this case, I booked almost 2 months in advance. The concierge acknowledged my inquiry about a dinner reservation at Frenchie (notoriously difficult to get in to) but never followed up or responded to my followup emails. My room was on the ground floor, off the interior courtyard. The bed was reasonably comfortable and it was actually a decent-sized room. However, there was mold in the shower and I am convinced that the bed linens were not changed each day. The bath towels were old and scratchy. There is the requisite notice about saving water and reusing the towels, but it was very annoying to have the room cleaner take the dirty towels that I put in the shower (as directed) and just hang them up!! I wanted fresh towels and did not get them. Another thing, the hotel web page states that they have Wifi, but they do not specify that it is for a fee and you have to buy these phone card things from them in order to use it. My iPhone did not accept the code, for whatever reason, and no one could help me out. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Yelp
This was a very cute, quaint hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Montmartre is the district where Moulin Rouge is located. We were not on the main road but up 2 blocks. Montmartre is very hilly akin to San Francisco and the red light district is down on the main street and not up the hill where this hotel is located. Nearby coffee shops, restaurants, ice cream, fish market, etc. - a very convenient place to stay and the Metro is right down the hill which you can take to reach anywhere in Paris. There was free wifi in the lobby. They offered breakfast for 12 or so Euro but we elected to eat away from the hotel due to the breakfast being continental and not full. The one drawback I could mention was that there was no ventilation in the room. They didn't even provide an electric fan. The only air we got was when we opened our window or propped open our door with a stool to get air from the hallway. Our one room window opened to a center atrium and other hotel guests had their room windows open also. You could see right into the other rooms and see the people in their beds. This is a non smoking hotel and while we were sleeping people downstairs would smoke in their rooms out of the windows and the smoke would come right into our room at night. A concern I had was that upon check-in they required a credit card number. We had prepaid for our hotel bill. They needed it in case they had to charge us for something. I don't mind that they wanted the number but they wrote it down on a piece of paper which was a concern. When I expressed my concern the desk clerk assured me I could request the paper to be destroyed upon checkout. When I did request it the clerk (a different one) wouldn't destroy the paper and said that the maid would have to check the room first. Since we left at 4 am the maid wasn't there yet. We flew to London and when we landed there was a call on my phone from France. I called back and it was Hotel Des Arts telling me they forgot to charge me for my breakfasts and asked if we checked out and when we were going to pick up our bags. ??????? We were already in London, our bags in tow, and we had never eaten breakfast at the hotel. At that point, between the written card number and the phone call, I thought it best to call my credit card company and ask them to cancel the card and send me a new card number. Quite an inconvenience but, otherwise, the room was clean, clean towels everyday, sundries provided, beautifully made beds, nice staff.

Yelp
Great value, location, and size of room. The location was close to everything yet just a smidge tucked away so that it felt like we were enjoying life as a local. It's within walking distance to most of the scenes of the movie Amalie. Their breakfast buffet was great, however, we didn't get to enjoy most of it as we slept in too late.

Yelp
SUCH a cute hotel! got a deal on expedia. a pair of french doors open up to a small balcony and over look the streets of paris. nice variety of breakfast foods (included), cozy lobby with juke box playing edith piaff, access to mac and ipad, free wifi, friendly front desk staff, clean hotel and quiet. minor complaints: the shower head didnt hang up/was broken and had no shower curtain and the headboard of the bed was a pretty dusty.

Lauren G.

Yelp
We stayed here in March 2016 for 3 nights and loved it! The location was wonderful as it was walkable around Montmartre, which is a wonderful neighborhood. We could walk to great food, moulin rouge, sacre Coeur and the metro. Room in Europe are never huge but this was surprisingly spacious for the building and very comfortable. The bathroom was modernly remodeled. The front staff is amazing and helpful at giving detailed directions and suggestions. We already miss it and would stay again!

Katie B.

Yelp
I stayed here 5 nights for vacation and I loved it! I feel like I got to know the staff and they always asked me about how my day went. Expect tiny hallways and a small size room, but for Paris this is quite typical. It is family run and very quaint and authentic. If you're looking for a hotel that is well priced and located perfectly in walking distance to everything in Montmartre I highly recommend this hotel. Comfortable beds, cozy decor, warm furnace and they even made sure I had a room with a bathtub. There is an elevator and breakfast for a coast daily. Restaurants all close by.

Steven S.

Yelp
Close to Metro, Blanche Station. Clean and friendly staff especially Aline and Maud. They both went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and part of Paris. You are in the red district, so use caution. A fantastic stay!

Ruben A.

Yelp
Lovely hotel in Montmartre! This is one of my wife's favorites so we stayed here in March for our getaway. Super courteous staff, the fact that they're English speaking is helpful. Is tucked away in a small street by the Montmartre hillside. The rooms are the typical cozy European size rooms, but fashionable and very clean. Close to the metro stop and easy access to many restaurants and things to do in that party of town.

Nick M.

Yelp
Great hotel! Yes the rooms are a touch small, but this Europe. The staff was amazing, helpful, and the best I've experienced while staying not only in Paris but all of Europe. The room was clean and the neighborhood was the best part. I would absolutely stay here again!

Philomena M.

Yelp
A nice home away from home while staying in Paris on a quiet street in Montmartre. Great breakfast and polite unobtrusive staff. Nice dog lives here. It's a little farther out from the center of the city, so for people who are on a whirlind tour this may be a bit out of the way for you. Still a nice place to visit if you would like to poke around the area of the 18th arrondissement. Two metro stops nearby, Place Des Abesses or Place Blanche. IF you would like to skip the nightclub, Moulin Rouge, gentleman's club crowd I suggest you get off at Abbesses. A very nice theatre across the street and enough little shops to fulfill your needs for a nice trip. The rooms are very nice and clean and well priced. I will definitely go back!

Natasha A.

Yelp
i really loved this hotel. the staff was so friendly and helpful, always giving great tips for places to have a drink, breakfast, etc. (yes, they do serve breakfast at the hotel, but there are plenty of other options in the area and i didn't eat in the hotel). the room was clean and spacious enough (you're not really going to hang out in your hotel room all that much, are you?). the elevator is cozy (read: small), but the stairs aren't so bad. the lobby is very charming and sweet . . . and there's a jukebox! i was warned by a few people that it was really close to the Red Light District and i should be careful, but i always felt safe (perhaps that's my naïvetée showing through?). i mean, use some common sense, like you would anywhere else, and don't be too surprised if you see some nudity and sex shops . . . other than that, it's just a fun, bustling part of the city that shouldn't be missed. i will definitely stay here again when i go back to Paris.
