Hotel Des Deux-Iles

This has been a delightful stay. The room (bottom floor with private courtyard) is small but beautifully appointed. Clean, comfortable, and so, so welcoming after a day spent wandering around rainy Paris. The bathroom is lovely with everything you need. The staff have been wonderful - also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They happily made suggestions for nearby restaurants and even booked for us. Special mention must be made of our breakfast host - breakfast was generous and delicious. And we really enjoyed discussing languages with him. ||I should also mention that this hotel is in an excellent location. On the Isle St Louis in the centre of Paris, it is within walking distance of Notre Dame. It is also close to metro and train stations. And, course, many restaurants. This is being Paris, there is even a fruit and vegetable shop just down the street. ||We would definitely stay here on our next trip to beautiful Paris!

My partner and I stayed for a delightful four nights! The hotel was decorated beautifully and the stuff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel was in a quiet and charming location with the benefit of being close to the Marais area. Breakfast was a lovely experience and made us feel very at home with fresh baked goods and local teas. The complimentary cake/afternoon tea was certainly a highlight and gave us the opportunity to speak to other guests. Would 100% recommend and stay again! A peaceful place in a bustling area of Paris!

Lovely boutique hotel on a quiet street on a small island in the heart of Paris. Plenty of cozy restaurants and eclectic stores a few steps from the front door. Estelle and Nacho took good care to attend to our needs. Cute lounge with complementary coffee (excellent) and hot tea and cake every afternoon. Simple breakfast available to set you up for a day of exploring the city. Bedrooms are small as to be expected in this location but with beautiful exposed beams and tastefully decorated. The shower took a little getting used too as it had a high level of aeration and was not easy to direct. All areas of the hotel were clean and tidy and beds were comfortable.

This was my 6th visit to Paris and by far, Hotel Des Deux-Iles has been my favourite place to stay at. It was a spontaneous choice as I wanted to stay in a different neighbourhood to where I usually stay. Well, the neighbourhood in Saint Louis is so perfect and quaint that I fell in love. The cobbled streets, the independent restaurants (of various cuisine) and coffee shops, the bistros and the charming boutiques all made this area feel special not to mention very safe. As soon as I checked in and was met by the lovely Alex who warmly welcomed me I knew I had made the right choice. Alex looked after me so well across the three days, she honestly could not have done more. Yann who does the evening shift was also amazing. When I raised a concern about a very loud American neighbouring my room he was very supportive in handling it. The rooms itself are, yes, a little small, but still ample size. My room has a wardrobe, a desk, two armchairs, a coffee table and a very large double bed. The linen was lovely. The amenities from the espresso machine to the kettle and wonderful teabags were a great touch as were the chocolates at turndown. I opted for breakfast at the hotel and quite honestly, despite its simplicity, they were my favourite. The most exquisite croissants and pain au chocolat not to mention the best coffee ever and perfectly fresh orange juice. Eggs were made to order and as you like. The best thing was that you could have your breakfast served in your room at no extra cost. The housekeeping lady from the Congo whom I called aunty was also the sweetest. The hotel also offers complimentary tea and cakes/cookies between 2pm-6pm and what I did try was yummy. All in all, a wonderful stay and I would happily return here again. The location was perfect and a short hop and skip away from both the latin quarter and the Marais. Thanks Hotel Des Deux-Iles for making my stay truly special.

This is such a quaint and lovely boutique hotel. The staff are just lovely and very helpful. Our room was so pretty and I loved the old building charm. The bed was very comfortable and you could open the extremely large / tall windows that open out to the street. It was a pretty quiet neighbourhood. It's a bit tricky walk from the metro but they did arrange for a taxi to the airport for a flat rate which was great. Lots of restaurants and sights nearby. Thanks for a really great stay! We loved it.

My teenage daughter and I stayed here summer of 2023 and it simply made our entire trip. The staff is superb, breakfast is delicious and delightful, the picnic basket is AMAZING!! and the hotel is charming, comfortable and well appointed. We can’t wait to go back.

1. Bed • Comfort: Pretty comfortable bed and always like to see when the double bed is not two singles put together. • Bedding Quality: Bedding material was great but the pillows were a bit too fluffy for my taste. • Sleep Quality: room was very quiet! • Extra Notes: The blinds in the room kept the light out in the morning making it easy to sleep in. 2. Bathroom • Cleanliness: The bathroom was sparkling clean! • Amenities: Shower cap, soap, shampoo, and lotion provided. These seemed of high quality. The towel was also one of those premium feeling towels. • Shower/Bath: Water pressure and water temperature function perfectly, while the showerhead is adjustable for tall people. • Space & Functionality: The bathroom was pretty spacious for a hotel at this pricepoint in Paris. • Extra Notes: The towel warmer was a nice extra feature that also allowed me to dry some wet clothes from the rain! 3. Breakfast • Variety: The breakfast spread was impressive. They serve you (it's not contintental) bread, croissant, orange juice, yogurt, fruit, hot drink of your choice, granola, eggs (cooked in the way you like). • Quality: Food was very fresh! The organge juice was freshly squeezed and the rest of the ingredients they actually show you where they buy them (I think everything comes from Ile Saint-Louis, which is pretty cool). • Dining Area: It's down in the basement but it's got the feeling of an old cellar and it's well lit. • Service: Staff were very friendly and attentive. 4. Other Key Details • Location: While it's cool to stay on an island in the middle of the river, it's a pretty sleepy area and the restaurants all seem pretty similar (lots of creperies) • Service: Staff are all super helpful and multilingual. • Value for Money: At just under 200 EUR per night, it's great value for money. Final Thoughts It's a great hotel in a quiet location. It feels new and sleek but with a vintage flair. I'd stay here again if looking for a calm location in Paris! Great little hotel in one of the few quiet areas of Paris - while still being close to all the attractions. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are small (not surprising) but well appointed and quiet.

Location? Perfect for walking both sides of the Seine. Comfortable? Very and the staff is professional and helpful. Affordable? Yes.

First, let's get any negatives out of the way: The rooms are small and the TV only gets a few channels. So what? Next, the good parts: When you travel to a new city, the location of your hotel makes a big difference. Hôtel des Deux-Iles is located on a pair of small, utterly charming islands in the middle of the Seine. Notre Dame cathedral is a five-minutes walk, and short bridges will take you to either the left or right bank of the river. Walk over to the Left Bank, and small side streets will take you to real Parisian shops and cafes, plus the wild Latin Quarter. On the Right Bank, it's a nice walk to the Louvre (which is a sight itself, even if you don't go inside). Take a look for yourself. Look up the hotel in Google maps and walk the streets with Street View. It's an amazing place. But the best part of the hotel was the staff -- always kind and helpful. My French was poor, but all of the front desk staff spoke excellent English. They helped us check in for our very late arrival, called for taxis, and even had champagne and glasses at 2:00 am. Five stars for them! We hope to visit Paris again, and when we do, the Hôtel des Deux-Iles will be our first choice.

The Hotel des Deux-Iles is located on Ile St. Louis which is a great location to be, quiet at night and charming shops to visit during the day. Berthillon's, famous for its ice cream, is centered here. It is a smaller hotel, about 14 rooms, but is a charming hotel. The staff are fabulous and very responsive to all requests. We emailed them a number of times before we visited to arrange transportation from the train station to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport. They serve some treats and drinks available nearly all day in the lobby. The rooms are on the smaller side, we did feel a little cramped because we are old LOL. But the bed was very comfortable. There is a little elevator that allowed us to avoid the stairs which again was nice,, And the receptionist helped us with our luggage. I cannot stress enough how helpful and sweet all the staff members are. The biggest treat for us was the breakfast they serve every morning. The owner tells us he has arranged to get nearly everything from local vendors. So they serve fresh hot croissants and baguettes (if you get there soon enough that they are still warm!) from a local bakery - they are to die for. And the jam is made especially for them from a local vendor. You can ask for eggs any style, fresh fruit, etc. etc. Not an extensive menu but certainly enough to please - all we needed were the croissants and baguettes! This is definitely an excellent choice for a hotel in Paris. It is located near Notre Dame and there is a metro line 5 minutes walk away. And other metro lines are easily accessible.

This is a tough review to write and I wish I liked Hotel des Duex-Iles better than I do. On the positive side, the location of this hotel is amazing! Being on the island is the best place to be in Paris, there are no questions about that but I would not really recommend anyone to stay in this specific hotel. The rooms are small, dated, and very dark. The rooms are fairly clean but they are also super loud. The first night we had an American couple next to us that were just super loud and in these rooms, you can literally hear everything that is said in the next room, every closet opening, closing, water running, etc. The second night, we had a French couple and they were super quiet which was nice. Overall, this hotel is very overpriced and old so I wouldn't tell anyone to stay here.

If you have never been to Paris, your first visit find a central hotel and spend some money (not all your money). This place hit all the buttons and was fabulous. You could walk anywhere from this place, close to Metro and great location to catch an Uber. Close to Notre Dame, St,Chapelle, West Bank, The Marais, museums, Seine...There is a laundry nearby, next door is a great French family style restaurant-the hotel and restaurant are 17th century.... Make sure you request certain rooms as some are very small. They do have a lift which worked well. They do serve breakfast but there is no need to pay the $$ they charge for a good breakfast with so many restaurants and bakeries nearby. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was quiet with a nice size bathroom. We had two twin beds pushed together for a near KING. Clean, nice staff....I would stay again...Please note so many of these small hotels in center of Paris are being bought up by foreigners and they are not the same anymore-that's the story of two on St.Louis Isle. This one is still Paris family owned. Support them.
