What a gem of a hotel! Perfect location set back off a quiet street. Amazing staff who could not have been more courteous and helpful. The rooms are small but very comfortable with great AC. Breakfast and drinks in the back garden were fabulous and very relaxing. If you’re looking for a grand hotel with big rooms this is not your place. If you are looking for an intimate boutique hotel with French charm than you should book a room here.

We had a wonderful stay at Hôtel des Marronniers! The location is excellent -- just a short walk from incredible restaurants, and iconic sights like the Musée d'Orsay, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Latin Quarter, and the Jardin du Luxembourg. We stayed in a Superior Garden Room with breakfast for 5 nights. While the room was a bit small, it didn't bother us at all -- there was plenty of storage, the air conditioning worked well (a huge plus in the summer!), and we weren't in the room much anyway. The bathroom was stocked with Clarins products and had incredible water pressure, which made showers feel luxurious and refreshing. A big thank you to Judith, Jurgen, and the entire team for making our stay so special. Judith gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations, and everyone on the staff was welcoming and attentive. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a great find, the hotel is perfectly located close enough to notre dame, the Louvre and other attractions but also in a very nice neighbourhood of its own and easily accessible from the metro. The hotel itself is small and our room was small but perfectly appointed and spotless. Breakfast is served in a small room downstairs which can get busy at times but the croissants in particular were excellent. Staff on reception were friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Des Marronniers in St Germain. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room appeared to have been renovated somewhat recently. The bathroom was pretty new looking. While the room and bathroom were both quite small ( as I suspect many in the smaller hotels are), they worked out just fine. My wife and I had a garden room and our daughters (19 and 22) shared a room with 2 twin beds. The patio offered a nice place to meet up before heading out for the day or for dinner or to have a glass of wine when getting back in. Walking distance from many attractions and countless restaurants. Also very close to metro stations and bus stop ( which we would also recommend to get around Paris, super easy!) |Would stay here again!

Fantastic recent short stay. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable family room. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel. Also in a perfect location close to shops and restaurants with good transport links.

What a great find! The hotel is in the perfect position for exploring the tourist spots, and the area felt totally safe. The hotel staff were absolutely charming and helpful, the room very comfortable (and completely quiet at night) and facilities excellent including a breakfast with lots of choice including cooked breakfast. There is a beautiful garden/patio area for an evening aperitif. All in all, couldn’t have wished for more.

What a wonderful gem in the 6th! Although our room was small, it was clean and cozy with great air conditioning. We enjoyed our simple breakfast on the quiet terrace. It was a great start to every morning ahead of our packed sightseeing days. We can’t wait to return to Paris and stay here once again!

Google
Perfect location, absolutely friendly and helpful staff. Great room, lovely courtyard for breakfast/meals and where I caught up with work. Good sized room for our 5 day stay, and good size for such a central street. ||Location was ideal for everywhere we wanted to be. Morning jog by the Seine to the Eiffel was just 5km, wander back along the Seine popping by little boutique shops. Champs Elysees, Rue|De Rivoli, and Louvre also a walk away, and everything else was just a short bus/metro hop away. Bus/ metro stops v nearby. Bus to Marais etc. ||You can absolutely even take metro or bus from airport/station if you have 1-2 luggage. ||Hotel street is heart of St. Germain area, littered with little boulangeries and cafés where you can sit and watch Paris go by, or grab a quick coffee. ||Hotel was perfect for our 5- day stay.

Yelp
Finally! Third time's the charm. After going through the insane Charles de Gaulle Airport and having the worst coffee of my life in there, I was ready to start this vacation off right. We took an Uber from the airport and were dropped off at our hotel: Hôtel des Marronniers. Best way I can describe this hotel is as quaint. The hotel rooms themselves are small, but this is Paris and the charm this hotel has is its location. From here, you are steps way from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower - you get the idea! The man at the reception desk, whose name I wish I had gotten, spoke the clearest French I have ever heard in my life. I speak French as my third language and sometimes have issues understanding certain people, but this wasn't the case here at all. We dealt with the entire process in French, but be aware that the staff is perfectly bilingual in English should that be your preference. Our room was small, but it had the necessities. A large bed, a desk, a closet, and a bathroom that had the sink and shower, along with the toilet, happily together. You really have no idea how much I detest the concept of a bathroom having a toilet and yet another bathroom having a sink and shower, but I'm digressing here. We were there for four days. We even got to watch the World Cup from our room. I believe, too, this hotel offers breakfast, but we opted out of it. Oh, and lastly, going back to the location, there really is everything around. Plenty of restaurants and shops! It's truly the #1 reason to stay there.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Room AC/ventilation awful. Management not guest determines the temperature of rooms. Some rooms have windows that do not open, so be prepared to be uncomfortable all night. Night attendent Ben... rude, unprofessional... used profanity with guests when they complained. Elevator consistently did not work. Never again!!

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel that we stayed at in Paris. My parents didn't like it but they're fat entitled Americans who complained about the small size of the room. The room was small but charming and had everything I needed. The view was beautiful and charming and the stairs were gorgeous and winding. It's located right in Saint-Germain with the most lovely little cobblestone streets and very quaint and historical buildings all around. I loved it. It feels very Parisian. Not even really a complaint but my only ??? is about a mirror on the back of the bathroom door in a very small bathroom. This mirror faces the toilet. You don't get a very flattering view of yourself. But that's okay!

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel in Paris. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the location in the Latin Quarter was ideal, it was quiet, and the room, though typically quite small, was charming and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Yelp
We loved this hotel. Yes, rooms are smaller than typical American hotels, but you're in Paris! Great location, close to Metro stop and in easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and the Seine and shopping and attractions. The staff were super friendly. Rooms were clean. Highly recommend. We will stay here again if/when we return to Paris.

Yelp
The location is the best thing about this place. Steps from Notre Dame, the Louvre and other Paris attractions in a great old neighborhood. We had a triple room which was plenty big with the third bed in an attached room. Bathroom was small, but this is an old French building, after all. Had free wireless and very nice and helpful staff. Wine in the afternoons and breakfast available in the am (for a cost). Location, Location, Location. (at a reasonable price - for Paris)

Yelp
I've stayed in Paris several times now and two of the three times I felt like I was in a toy size room. Granted I'm vertically challenged myself and you'd think I don't need much space but being American has the "bigger is better" ideology ingrained into my existence. Rooms in Paris are generally small, and the small is average so you can't go complaining, (too much), about being stuck in a small room. You're staying in an old city and unless you pay and arm and a leg for several rooms this is as good as it gets. Having giving my 2 pennies on size I'm giving the hotel 3 stars because the air conditioning didn't work and we didn't realize that until the wee hours of the night while sweating in the September heat waiting for the extremely loud air to kick in. In the bathroom we didn't have a shower door. One essentially could leave the bathroom door open, take a shower, and watch tv at the same time. (not saying we did this, or didn't). Just be careful because water will get EVERYWHERE! Aside from all that, the location is awesome. Steps away from busy touristy streets and a short walk to the cathedral.

Yelp
Great location and very friendly staff. Take a moment to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful courtyard and read some of the tourist guides on Paris from their library.

Yelp
It's all about the location, which is superb. It is quiet, the staff is accomodating. The rooms are quite cozy - small, as is typical, but fine. Clean, a great spot.

Yelp
Avoid: smallest hotel rooms I have ever seen. All double rooms, except for the X4s, are 12 square meters, including the bathroom! That is the size of a closet. We only had a little more than a foot on each side of the bed, and that space was for the bathroom door, the window opening and whatever luggage you have. In the minuscule bathroom, the front edge of the toilet was only a few inches from the wall so that I, a 5'10" man, could only sit on the toilet sideways, which creates all sorts of issues.. I found it incredible that they would pass these closets as three-star hotel rooms!!! Buyer beware.

Yelp
We were due to stay at the hotel in early May. Do to the tragic death of our son we had to cancel our reservations. The hotel staff was so kind and considerate that I was taken aback. We love that locale and certainly will book here on our next trip to Paris

Yelp
A great place to stay with clean, comfortable rooms and very polite and friendly staff. The hotel is set slightly off the street with a small courtyard in the front which deadens ALL street noise so it is just great. You won't find this at many other places in Paris. We would stay here again. Drawbacks: no fridge in room, only 4 TV channels (2 in German, 1 sports, CNN). Ask for a room with high ceilings. We stayed in #11 which overlooks the garden and it was PERFECT.

Yelp
Really positive experience. Nice and helpful staff who speak very good english. The hotel has character and it feels like you go back in time. Amazing location. Will stay there again.
