Finally! Third time's the charm.
After going through the insane Charles de Gaulle Airport and having the worst coffee of my life in there, I was ready to start this vacation off right.
We took an Uber from the airport and were dropped off at our hotel: Hôtel des Marronniers.
Best way I can describe this hotel is as quaint. The hotel rooms themselves are small, but this is Paris and the charm this hotel has is its location.
From here, you are steps way from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower - you get the idea!
The man at the reception desk, whose name I wish I had gotten, spoke the clearest French I have ever heard in my life.
I speak French as my third language and sometimes have issues understanding certain people, but this wasn't the case here at all.
We dealt with the entire process in French, but be aware that the staff is perfectly bilingual in English should that be your preference.
Our room was small, but it had the necessities. A large bed, a desk, a closet, and a bathroom that had the sink and shower, along with the toilet, happily together.
You really have no idea how much I detest the concept of a bathroom having a toilet and yet another bathroom having a sink and shower, but I'm digressing here.
We were there for four days. We even got to watch the World Cup from our room. I believe, too, this hotel offers breakfast, but we opted out of it.
Oh, and lastly, going back to the location, there really is everything around. Plenty of restaurants and shops! It's truly the #1 reason to stay there.
