The Hotel des Marronniers offers a wonderful Parisian experience. The location in Saint Germain des Pres is close to many cultural attractions, shopping, cafes/restaurants and nightlife--all walkable or with easy access to the Metro. The hotel staff are top quality providing outstanding service (and friendly local advice). They make a special effort to ensure the best comfort of their guests. The breakfast is great...and after an evening out a bottle of wine, champagne or other beverages are available. The rooms are well kept, but can be a bit tight, which is normal for many European destinations. Be sure to visit the hotel inner courtyard. Highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris.

The hotel is in such a great area, so convenient to everything. Adorable cafes nearby, walking distance to all the sights in the 5th and 6th, fantastic shopping, convenient to the metro. The room, although tiny, suited my needs perfectly for 3 nights as a solo traveler. The hotel is in a bustling area yet quiet overlooking the courtyard. Don't miss the lovely outside teahouse for a glass of wine before dinner!

The staff are very helpful and friendly, unique also: they know your name and treat you with genuine interest. The rooms are compact but very comfortable and so so quiet. Only 5 minutes to the Seine opposite the Louvre and close to cafes and shopping at St Germain des Pres. The breakfast is highly recommended!

My wife and I like the hotel. Terrifico location, easy walk to the beauties of the 6th (Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, Odeon, Notre Dame, Boule Miche, so many great restaurants). What was so dissapointing, though, after booking direct and far in advance for 3 nights, was to be given a room where you couldn't swing a rat, let alone a cat, in the ensuite, the tiniest shower room we have ever had in Paris though we go every year and have done for over 50 years.||||Staff warm and helpful, breakfast buffet lots of choice, very worth having.||||But although our room had a large double bed, it felt very small that it was easy to trip over and head out straight through the window onto the quad below. Very inadequate, had to keep many clothes on the floor, the tiny wardrobe and bits of furniture not very alluring.||||We DO like the hotel but wouldn't stay there again. Just felt inadequate compared to other hotels in the area. Made us feel like second rate guests. We asked to change the room, but were told all rooms were the same, so small, apart from two sort of suites.||||Sorry, Marroniers, I think you meant well, but other hotels offer better value for money in terms of space. We were aware that we paid more for our room than other guests, despite having booked direct.

Nice hotel in nice location. Little bit in the back of bvd saint germain. Access per metro very good. Also like the real parisian vibe in this place. On top free water and tea in the rooms and free newspapers. Room was also clean. For summer they have a great garden to relax in the middle of the city. Unique.

We had the most wonderful experience at this charming hotel. The staff went above and beyond in every way — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They overheard that my daughter was turning 18 during our stay, and to our absolute surprise, they surprised us with a delivery of balloons, champagne, special gift, and a personalized card. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made her feel incredibly special and created a memory we’ll never forget.

Google
A quintessential French hotel, with perfect service and very friendly staff. Lift was very welcome for a room on the 5th floor. Breakfast was delightful in the lovely conservatory. Location was perfect, with lots of cafes and restaurants, and galleries and boutiques nearby, along with a laundromat just around the block. The metro is just a short walk away. There was a little bit of sound between floors and rooms, which is to be expected in heritage character building so if you are a light sleeper pack your earplugs.

I would like to thank Hotel des Marronniers for making our stay truly special during my birthday celebration. My husband and I had an incredible time at your hotel, thanks to the cozy atmosphere, impeccable service, and our stunning room. The thoughtful birthday gift was the cherry on top, making our trip to Paris an unforgettable experience. I was truly impressed by your enchanting garden—dining there every day was nothing short of magical We will definitely recommend your hotel to our friends and family. Thank you for the top-notch hospitality—we can’t wait to return!

Yelp
This is now my third stay at this hotel, and every visit I fall more in love. It's perfectly located to easily access many of Paris's attractions and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is very clean, there's an absolutely beautiful terrace (that allows smoking!!! Big plus for some of us!), and a quiet library in case you need to get some work done while here. The staff are always incredibly kind and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy your stay. They have helpful recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area, and are at the desk 24/7 to make sure you have everything you need. I'll continue to stay here again and again each time I return to Paris and I cannot recommend it enough. I love this place!!!

Yelp
Finally! Third time's the charm. After going through the insane Charles de Gaulle Airport and having the worst coffee of my life in there, I was ready to start this vacation off right. We took an Uber from the airport and were dropped off at our hotel: Hôtel des Marronniers. Best way I can describe this hotel is as quaint. The hotel rooms themselves are small, but this is Paris and the charm this hotel has is its location. From here, you are steps way from Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower - you get the idea! The man at the reception desk, whose name I wish I had gotten, spoke the clearest French I have ever heard in my life. I speak French as my third language and sometimes have issues understanding certain people, but this wasn't the case here at all. We dealt with the entire process in French, but be aware that the staff is perfectly bilingual in English should that be your preference. Our room was small, but it had the necessities. A large bed, a desk, a closet, and a bathroom that had the sink and shower, along with the toilet, happily together. You really have no idea how much I detest the concept of a bathroom having a toilet and yet another bathroom having a sink and shower, but I'm digressing here. We were there for four days. We even got to watch the World Cup from our room. I believe, too, this hotel offers breakfast, but we opted out of it. Oh, and lastly, going back to the location, there really is everything around. Plenty of restaurants and shops! It's truly the #1 reason to stay there.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Room AC/ventilation awful. Management not guest determines the temperature of rooms. Some rooms have windows that do not open, so be prepared to be uncomfortable all night. Night attendent Ben... rude, unprofessional... used profanity with guests when they complained. Elevator consistently did not work. Never again!!

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel in Paris. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the location in the Latin Quarter was ideal, it was quiet, and the room, though typically quite small, was charming and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Yelp
We loved this hotel. Yes, rooms are smaller than typical American hotels, but you're in Paris! Great location, close to Metro stop and in easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and the Seine and shopping and attractions. The staff were super friendly. Rooms were clean. Highly recommend. We will stay here again if/when we return to Paris.

Yelp
The location is the best thing about this place. Steps from Notre Dame, the Louvre and other Paris attractions in a great old neighborhood. We had a triple room which was plenty big with the third bed in an attached room. Bathroom was small, but this is an old French building, after all. Had free wireless and very nice and helpful staff. Wine in the afternoons and breakfast available in the am (for a cost). Location, Location, Location. (at a reasonable price - for Paris)

Yelp
I've stayed in Paris several times now and two of the three times I felt like I was in a toy size room. Granted I'm vertically challenged myself and you'd think I don't need much space but being American has the "bigger is better" ideology ingrained into my existence. Rooms in Paris are generally small, and the small is average so you can't go complaining, (too much), about being stuck in a small room. You're staying in an old city and unless you pay and arm and a leg for several rooms this is as good as it gets. Having giving my 2 pennies on size I'm giving the hotel 3 stars because the air conditioning didn't work and we didn't realize that until the wee hours of the night while sweating in the September heat waiting for the extremely loud air to kick in. In the bathroom we didn't have a shower door. One essentially could leave the bathroom door open, take a shower, and watch tv at the same time. (not saying we did this, or didn't). Just be careful because water will get EVERYWHERE! Aside from all that, the location is awesome. Steps away from busy touristy streets and a short walk to the cathedral.

Yelp
Great location and very friendly staff. Take a moment to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful courtyard and read some of the tourist guides on Paris from their library.

Yelp
It's all about the location, which is superb. It is quiet, the staff is accomodating. The rooms are quite cozy - small, as is typical, but fine. Clean, a great spot.

Denis G.

Yelp
Avoid: smallest hotel rooms I have ever seen. All double rooms, except for the X4s, are 12 square meters, including the bathroom! That is the size of a closet. We only had a little more than a foot on each side of the bed, and that space was for the bathroom door, the window opening and whatever luggage you have. In the minuscule bathroom, the front edge of the toilet was only a few inches from the wall so that I, a 5'10" man, could only sit on the toilet sideways, which creates all sorts of issues.. I found it incredible that they would pass these closets as three-star hotel rooms!!! Buyer beware.

Yelp
We were due to stay at the hotel in early May. Do to the tragic death of our son we had to cancel our reservations. The hotel staff was so kind and considerate that I was taken aback. We love that locale and certainly will book here on our next trip to Paris

Yelp
A great place to stay with clean, comfortable rooms and very polite and friendly staff. The hotel is set slightly off the street with a small courtyard in the front which deadens ALL street noise so it is just great. You won't find this at many other places in Paris. We would stay here again. Drawbacks: no fridge in room, only 4 TV channels (2 in German, 1 sports, CNN). Ask for a room with high ceilings. We stayed in #11 which overlooks the garden and it was PERFECT.

Yelp
Really positive experience. Nice and helpful staff who speak very good english. The hotel has character and it feels like you go back in time. Amazing location. Will stay there again.
