The breakfast was incredible and Stefano service was optimal and well explained. I love the cozy environment inside the place and the light around the tables. The options for the breakfast buffet was very good and with variety. I’ll come back for sure

I went to the hotel for breakfast, and the food was delicious made even better by the outstanding service. A special thanks to Stefano for his warm hospitality. He speaks both Spanish and English perfectly, which made our experience much smoother and more enjoyable as we were and international group.

This is a lovely little hotel in a fashionable part of the city which is very close to the city centre and key attractions. The rooms (we had two) were very nice and modern, and kept spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful in reception, the room service and in the breakfast and restaurant. Lovely food and overall a lovely place. There is a focus on the gay spa that they have, and it seems to draw a bit of attention, but this was fine with us - and added a certain amount of enthusiasm and energy to the place.

Great Service & Rooftop Experience, Even Without a Stay Although we had a last-minute cancellation and weren’t able to stay at Hotel Deutsche Eiche, the staff was incredibly kind and offered us a drink voucher for their beautiful rooftop terrace — a generous gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. The rooftop has a relaxed atmosphere with great views of the city. You can order food from the restaurant on the first floor and bring it up to enjoy. It’s a great option whether or not you're staying at the hotel. The location is about a 17-minute walk to most major attractions, which is very manageable. The area may feel a little rough on first impression, but it’s quite central and convenient once you settle in. Note: The elevator is small, which might be something to consider if you have a lot of luggage. Overall, very impressed with the friendly service and flexibility, even though our plans changed!

The hotel was very nice! I loved the upstairs bar. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay at Hotel Deutsche Eiche! The check-in process was quick, and although we had to wait a few minutes for our room to be ready, it wasn’t long at all—maybe 5 minutes max. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Our room was extremely clean, modern, and came with a lovely balcony that gave us a nice little view. The only downside was the parking situation—it was quite tough to find a spot nearby. We ended up parking just under a kilometer away, which was manageable but not ideal, especially after a long day of travel. Overall though, the experience was really positive and we’d definitely consider staying here again!

We received a warm welcome at the reception, and there follows free cheese sausage plate as well as complimentary mini bar at room. Great location, the room is a bit old but clean. Highly recommend!

Cute, very well located hotel. Lovable staff and plenty of cute dogs. They cater in particular to gay men, so be warned ladies - the bathrooms don’t have a lot of storage and there is “one soap for all things” in the showers. Rooftop terrace bar is a big plus, especially in nice weather. Free beer and prosecco with the room, and the pillows are the best hotel pillows of my life. (NOT the overstuffed neck killers you usually get). Our biggest complaint was that the a/c didn’t get our room as icy as we’d like (and the lack of bathroom/shower storage/surfaces). The gelato place nextdoor is another bonus!

Yelp
Great location, but its not a place for a solo female traveler. I left 1 hour after checking in. During all communication back and forth with the hotel prior to booking, despite my questions about the spa and my booking as a "Ms", no one made clear that the spa was men-only. Looking back at the website, maybe I should have figured it out but still not entirely clear. The room was also tiny and faced a back alley. So it was not going to be a pleasant stay and luckily I was easily able to walk 2 blocks to find a better solution for myself. I was charged 80% of the first night -- which was as per the contract I had signed, but I was made to feel a bit like they were doing me a favour only charging 80% of one night's stay.

Yelp
Excellent stay. Restaurant is fabulous and the rooms are very comfortable. Easy access to city train. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.

Yelp
Just stayed here - it's in the perfect location, and there is great staff! We had to change the room because we were staying for 9 days in what was a tiny, somewhat claustrophobic room and Fernando accommodated our request and gave us an upgrade. Thank you Fernando and team!

Yelp
We only ate and drank here but had a perfectly nice meal (we all had salads but they do a range of traditional German favourites, as well as some veggie options). They have a good choice of beers, too. After we had eaten, we carried on drinking on the rooftop bar (lift access). This has great views and is a wonderful place to pass a summer evening. (They have awnings which they can extend automatically if it begins to rain).

Yelp
A nice hotel in the center of Munich. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's walking distance to a lot of sites (check out the Michael Jackson memorial at Promenadeplatz) and the metro. Although billed as a gay hotel (yes, there is a bath house attached to it), this didn't discourage any of the straight folks staying there. Pros: - Nice rooms - Air conditioning - Friendly staff - Good breakfast - Free internet Cons: - One lift for the hotel - small (a tight fit for 4 people with luggage) and SLOW. My stay at the Hotel Deutsche Eiche was enjoyable - I would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
Wonderful! What a treasure of a place. The rooms are immaculate and the bathrooms are too. Comfortable beds and perfect temperature regulation. Low noise level and we faced the street!! The windows open in multiple ways which is a nice touch. The staff was super helpful and friendly. All gay hotels should be run like this!!

Yelp
This place was perfect. Affordable, clean, and in a great location. My boyfriend and I could walk everywhere, or easily get on a subway to check out some of the farther attractions like Olympic Park. I saw that it was promoted as a gay hotel, but I thought it was perfectly lovey for people both gay and straight.

Yelp
My husband and I traveled with another couple last month to Munich, and booked our rooms a bit on the late side knowing Oktoberfest was going on. We managed to get two rooms at Hotel Deutsche Eiche. We weren't sure what to expect; however, we were not disappointed. Our rooms were like new, very clean, and down right fun! The hotel fills a mini-fridge with complimentary water, soda and beer. Upon check-in they give you a free glass of prosecco to enjoy (which you can do on their adorable rooftop deck). Service at the hotel was also fantastic. Front desk staff, those in the bar/restaurant and the cleaning lady were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great area of the city, incredibly close to Marienplatz, a wonderful little market that's open everyday, and about a 30 minute walk to Oktoberfest. Anyone nervous about this hotel can rest assured that it's the real deal. Great service, rooms ammenities, location, and friendly staff.

Yelp
I expected an average visit - but was so surprised to find that this gem of a hotel was 1st class! Every detail is intentional. The bathrooms are works of art! The cleanliness, the abundance of towels, mini-bar (included), comfortable rooms, gemütlichkeit! The rooftop terrace gives a spectacular view of the city. Such a treasure.
