I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has good infrastructure and seems recently renovated. The guest rooms (at least mine) was simple but clean and spacious for one person. Bathroom was not big and dated but the shower pressure was very good. I booked through Amex travel and breakfast wasn’t included in my rate so I didn’t see the breakfast area.||Location is great: just outside the old town. You can walk to Porta Nigra in less than 15 minutes. One of the primary factors in selecting this hotel was the on premises parking: I paid €10 for overnight parking and they said I could keep it there into the afternoon of the check-out day.

Great hotel and staff. The accommodation was impeccable. The staff were super helpful. The location cannot be better as it is right in front of the entrance to the old city centre, with all sorts of shops, cafes and restaurants available. One cannot go wrong with this hotel. I only have praise.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Deutscher Hof for our first few nights in Germany. Recovering from jet-lag here was very comfortable. We had 2 connecting rooms so lots of space. The beds were comfortable and the blackout curtains were great. Despite being on a main road the rooms were quiet. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of great options and good coffee (they will bring you a carafe of regular coffee or they have 2 espresso machines you can make for yourself if you prefer). We paid for the underground car park but they also have surface parking which looked safe. A nice bonus was we received an offer of a free bottle of sparkling wine for each night we opted out of room cleaning. They even gave us an ice cooler and two glasses! Nice bonus. The location is right across from the main tourist centre so easy to walk to all the sites and there were mini-fridges in each room. Would recommend and would stay again if we found ourselves in Trier

The hotel is located 5 minutes from the city center and the cathedral. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was on the second floor in the building across from the main lobby. The room itself was big and clean. I took the star off for the lack of air conditioning . I kind of assumed that all hotels would have air conditioning these days. A bottle of wine is given for each night you opt out of room cleaning. We were there for two nights, so it made sense to take a bottle. The parking lot was the main reason why we have chosen the hotel.

If you are ever looking for a hotel in Trier, I very highly recommend Hotel Deutscher Hof. The hotel is modern, the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. I've hardly ever slept so well in a hotel bed. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible! They knew that I had just hiked the Eifelsteig and when I arrived they had put a foot bath in my room with soothing foot salt and foot cream. How attentive! The breakfast buffet is very rich and offers lots of variety.

Although not striking from the outside, my husband and I enjoyed a truly wonderful two night stay at Deustscher Hof. ||The room was extremely spacious, well equipped and very quiet with solid blackout blinds and a large comfortable bed. The kettle was a most welcome after a long day of travelling from the UK and the shower was powerful and water abundant.||It is a short walk to the centre but a level one and a great way to burn off some calories from delicious cakes and exceptionally good local ice cream sundaes.||Dorothy was often on reception and was so welcoming and kind. In exchange for not having the room cleaned we enjoyed a complimentary bottle of local Trier sparking wine on the terrace which was delicious and refreshing. ||We opted to use the sauna on our second evening and had the vast space entirely at our private disposal. It was clean and so peaceful and we left feeling revitalised and relaxed. ||Overall an excellent and highly recommended hotel which could only be bettered with the addition of air conditioning as it was 36 degrees when we stayed and quite hard to sleep at night due only to the heat.

We had two fabulous nights here and would have liked to stay longer. This is a really well-run hotel with super clean, comfortable rooms, fabulous breakfasts and professional and very helpful staff. There are also various environmental initiatives that work well. It is a great walk from the hotel into the centre of Trier, as well as down to the Moselle.
