Location is excellent. Close to all tourist hot spots. Buffet breakfast is good. Rooms are a bit small but it’s down town Paris so should be expected . Clean and safe. Staff was amazing and spoke English and French .quite area yet close to many shops and restaurants.

Simple but good and clean room. Upon arrival at midnight, reception said that only one night had been paid for (by my employer) not two. Discussing this in the morning in stead of midnight was not an option, even though it was clear that the first night was paid for. Zero flexibility. Also the elevator was broken for a day. I personally like the homey breakfast. But it is simple and limited, probably not what a lot of people would prefer.

Hard to say how to rate this hotel. It’s clean, the bed was comfortable, great location. But it really doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as the pictures online. It’s kind of shabby, rooms are tiny (though these days it seems most are) and they were redecorating so the smell of paint was pretty overpowering. But the price is pretty reasonable. Staff was fine. I guess I expected a hidden gem which this definitely wasn’t. Also — skip the €14 breakfast and go to the lovely cafe directly across the street -(Saint Pearl) — best coffee and croissants ever, and lovely Aussie manager.

Hotel Diana was very convenient where it came to accessibility. Has what you need a bed, tv, and shower. The only complaint I have is that it wasn’t very clean particularly the bathroom. Also the AC wasn’t working instead of staying cold it when hot a couple of times. Staffing is very polite and are there if you have any questions. Overall we felt very safe and had no issues.

My sister and I recently stayed in Hotel Diana for three nights and were very disappointed. Our room was tiny and nothing like the online photos. On check-in we were told that all the rooms had recently been renovated. We had reserved a twin room but got a double bed. When we complained we were treated rudely by reception. The bathroom was minuscule and the tiles were cracked. No glasses in the bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable, and the remaining staff were pleasant and helpful.

We were very disappointed, having stayed many times at this hotel, to find it had been taken over by a chain. From the moment we arrived we felt we were in the way of some filming (presumably a marketing video for the hotel). Then my room had a leaking toilet so I needed to move - this proved quite complicated and once again, I was made to feel that I was the problem! Despite being relocated to a smaller room, I didn't get the promised refund. We saw 6 or 7 different people on reception during our stay, so there was no continuity, no recognition - just not at all welcoming. Even booking a cab on the day we left was not straight forward, with two different people not communicating. We wondered if they were now only focusing on younger clients - we for sure won't be returning - what a shame.

Absolutely not to recommend. The hotel was a building site, smelling paint everywhere, including the room. The breakfast very basic. I had to ask for a plate, then for a cup etc., and it was just some simple buns and poor coffee. Sunday morning the electricity was out in our room, and they did not fix it before we checked out. (It was electricity elsewhere in the hotel.) Stay away!

Stayed in a recently renovated room ( construction workers actively working on hotel during the daytime) room was good size for Paris, plenty storage to put luggage and it not be in the way. Bed felt hard but good pillows. Room was dirty ( pencil sharpening remains on the floor, dried macaroni on the floor and other stuff. Broken window ( the interior one) broken sink, unadjusted faucet, messy grout lines. There are no face cloths in the bathroom.

Yelp
When young kids in the early 1980's we stayed here. The Woman who owned the Hotel was very nice. The girl I was traveling with, we met in Nice, and I came to Paris together. First time for us both. The place had no elevator and the bathrooms were at the end of the hall. Around the late 1980's or early 1990's we came back. Yes, still with the same girl. They had rebuilt the place to what it is today. We have not been back since the late 1990's. I am sure Madam is long since gone. She was so proud of the changes. The location is perfect. My only complain is that I wrote then an email asking for some information so I could try and schedule a surprise vacation for my wife, yes that same girl, and they could not bother to return my email. So much for The City of Love. Madam would no be amused. Perhaps next year I can give a more update review, if they ge back to me.

Yelp
When reading this review, you must consider the typical budget Parisian hotel: small, cramped bathroom, lack of AC, etc. This hotel more than adequately addresses them all. The room that we had was relatively spacious, with a double bed and some room to move around. The mattress was very comfortable and linens were perfectly clean (no gross bed covering that you typically find in hotels). There was also a relatively spacious bathroom with a nice bath tub (a good find in Paris). The room had quiet, perfectly-working AC and the Wifi was free. There was also a safe in the room. We were basically on a roll. The room also had double windows, which eliminated the noise from the adjacent street (this was amazing). The location is also quite nice. It's in the Latin quarter, walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, and the Sorbonne. Metro access is easy as well, in fact it is on a direct RER B line from CDG airport (station St.Michele) Plus, I haven't even gotten to the best part, which was the breakfast. It was 8 euros, and there was a plentiful selection of breads, jams, cheeses, yogurts, fruits, and cereals. All was super tasty. Plus the coffee and hot chocolate were delicious, brought out in small cute pitchers so you could have a nice servicing. We went all around France during our trip and I still remember the drinks there. Yummy. Overall, the price was right, the location was good, and the rooms were great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of a 4 night stay in August 2011. Wonderful little hotel with wi-fi, air conditioning, lift, and most important, spotless bathrooms. Although the rooms are not large they are very comfortable and mine included a flat screen TV, telephone, and mini-fridge, most of which I would not have expected for what is supposed to be only a 2 star hotel. In addition, the double windows kept all unwanted noise out. The location is fantastic, close to Île de la Cité, RER and metro stations. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and I will definitely return.

Yelp
This little hotel, just a short step from Notre Dame and easily accessible from the metro (Cluny La Sorbonne). The rooms are on the small side but by no means the smallest rooms in Paris that I have experienced and there is even a bath in the bathroom - most unusual for a small hotel. The rooms seem to have been newly refurbished and were clean and light. A hairdryer and kettle are provided (but no cups). Breakfast is available but you have to order the evening before at reception. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and all speak English. I think it's a little gem!

Yelp
Love all the people who work here, wonderful price and very comfortable rooms that you want to retreat to after a busy day visiting paris. Also the 8€ breakfast is very nice in the morning when you are to lazy to go out.

Yelp
Overall a great experience! Really can't say a bad thing about this place. I booked my trip to Paris last minute and really had no idea what area Hotel Diana was in. I found it was in the perfect location! The Eiffel Tower is a 30/40 minute walk, Louvre/Orsay 10/15 and Notre Dam is just up the road. The price was also an amazing deal for the area. The cheapest I found after looking at 10+ hotels- 95 euros a night. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service at the desk was also friendly, especially Damien. My only suggestion is to book ahead by 2-4 weeks at least- they don't have many rooms. I got lucky finding a room available especially during Fashion Week.

Yelp
We got exactly what we expected at Hotel Diana in November 2011. It's close to public transit, walking distance to everything (for city walkers) and clean. Yes, it's a small room, but that's what you get for this price range in Europe. Also, the staff was so friendly! When we checked in Thomas gave us the run down and then also took time to setup one of our dinner reservations. The rooms were a little outdated, but nothing to complain about. Also, the bathrooms where recently renovated and spotless so this place is a great value.

Yelp
stay in the rear of the hotel. very heavy street noise in the front. when the a/c is off and you have to open the window not much sleep. close to many things we walked to the Louvre. Next to University of Paris.

Yelp
I found the Hotel Diana to be an excellent choice for my Paris visit. Very close to the Siene at St. Michelle and Notre Dame, it is also steps from the Metro surrounded by lots of cafes and other eateries. I found my room to be clean, well laid out with everything in good working order at an excellent price. The staff were very gracious and helpful with lots of great tips on transpo, etc. I could not reserve them through the travel sites, but I was able to get everything locked up with an email exchange with them through their website. I had a street facing room which was great in the morning but a little noisy at night but after a day of tromping through Paris, I was out like a light anyway. The in room fridge was an unexpected bonus. At first I thought their breakfast was a little lacking but after hitting the street I discovered, Parisian breakfast just isn't much. If you need protein, McDonalds or Starbucks down the street is your only quick option. I guess if you stay in some big fancy place, they will have eggs and sausage.
