Very nice clean rooms with excellent AC. We had twin beds. Good bed size. The hotel is in a very good prime location in Mumbai. Food we had was excellent. The service was very prompt also. They have a banquet room for small functions, which is very handy for birthdays or small family g2g. Due to compact size it felt bit cramped, but overall excellent hotel. Go for it.

Diplomat is for diplomats, u need diplomatic skills to negotiate with everyone in the hotel. Be it reception or the room service, everyone will speak like Russian Putin and you need to negotiate with them for everything. Room service was confident that water bottle was given to me in morning, while I said no it wasn't , he said no you should have(just Rs.30 water bottle, am I lying?) . Reception didn't even agree to extend the checkout for 30 mins, i understand you have occupancy, but still you could try, coz I know the occupancy based on the morning brkfast crowd. Above all, this isn't 3 star in any way. Only advantage is rooms are clean and location. - breakfast isn't at par for 2 star, u will get fresh fruits,omlet & watermelon juice, rest on your own risk for your stomach. they give you frozen fastfood chicken sausage/fish/mutton, obviously they don't taste well. - lifts don't have proper ventilation, u willl struggle to breath. - some staffs are good -tv connection on outdated wired hathway stb which will have its own quality issues

Visited Hotel Diplomat in Colaba last week — a great experience overall. The location is excellent, rooms are comfortable, and the staff is extremely polite and welcoming. A pleasant stay in the heart of South Mumbai!

Very good hotel in this area and the staff behaviour is also very good. Well maintained rooms and the breakfast option is best. One must stay here if want a good hotel in Collaba area.

The location of the hotel is its biggest USP. Located right behind the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel, the Gateway of India, Leopold Cafe, Mondy’s and Regal Cinema are all within a short walkable distance. The air conditioning was a bit questionable but the service was top notch. Any issue was addressed promptly. The breakfast menu was excellent as well, especially the masala omelette and the refreshingly delightful watermelon juice. A total value for money stay!

The location is impeccable. I was here to attend a conference and this has been a good experience. The food is also amazing and the staff make sure that they fulfill whatever you need. A very good time spent here.
