Hotel Discovery

Great place to stay in Santo Domingo! Location is great, right at Zona Colonial, walking distance to some interesting sights, food stalls and even the nearby beach. Free and secure parking included. Wifi works great, the hotel and the rooms are clean. Hot shower with good water pressure. Friendly staff. They even have a nice terrace with good views and a small pool. Price is good. Can recommend this place!

I HAVE STAYED 3 TIMES HERE AND ALL WAS SUPER GREAT.. THE HOTEL EMPLOYESS AND THEIR MANAGER, RENZO..WERE SUPER TOWARDS ME, MADE MY STAY VERY NICE.. EVERYTHING I NEEDED WAS TAKEN CARE OF..

I stayed in this hotel again Wednesday April 9th through Thursday April 24th. To be honest I travel to DR twice every year and I always stay at this hotel so I already know what type of environment to expect, I already know most of the staff too.

Stay away from this place. The guys at reception are not to be trusted. I saw them try to overcharge a foreigner who was enquiring about a room. They were making lewd comments about Haitians in general. It has a great location. But just walk a block or 2 and you will find better options.

Great little hotel in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. Quick reservations at the front desk, ATM inside, rooftop balcony with pool and seating, and the perfect safe location in Santo Domingo.

There were lights in the room but none of them worked. There was a no smoking sign in the room, but it still smelled terrible. After traveling around the country for a few days I had become accustomed to phenomenal customer service this was not the case at hotel discovery. I told the person at the desk that there was no light in my room and she seemed to completely dismiss me. In the end I left my stuff there and stayed in an apartment that was periodically flooded and the toilet didn’t work, which felt like a massive step up from hotel discovery

Had to rooms 4 people no breakfast no hot water in rooms The staff was nice. We was put into this hotel because our other hotel had people stay over because they could not get on a plane to go home because of weather problem it was just to help out them that we stayed in this hotel. Otherwise it's not for us.

Central location to go everywhere, we had a room with inner view, no street facing, which made it very quiet. We had a cold water dispenser just outside the room which was very useful and convenient. A/C worked very good, there's also a ceiling fan which was more than enough to cool the room down, so we did not see the need to use the A/C. Sunset view from the terrace was simply amazing, you can just get your own drink and sit peacefully there. We paid with debit card, ask for the amount to be taken in either DOP or USD as per your convenience. Do not pay in USD cash, they would change it to DOP to their convenience.
